Introduction
I took a bit of a break from mons due to a mixture of personal life issues, burnout, and the fact that the game was negatively impacting my mental health; I had a tryhard mindset that would cause me to spiral into depression. Over time, I gradually got back into competitive as my mental state improved thanks to applying personal grounding techniques. I started off with joke FFAs with friends, but eventually crawled my way back to RU and even UU, with the Quaquaval suspect test fully bringing me back.
As I got back into RU, I experimented with various setup sweeper offense teams. I initially made a CM Necrozma team that, while fun, had a myriad of issues, namely with the fundamental flaws of Necrozma. While it has good bulk, its lack of speed and defensive utility made it easy to exploit, to say nothing of the myriad of Psychics that competed with it. When Mew dropped, I dismissed it as yet another generic Psychic that was only good as a mediocre lead, but over time (partially thanks to LBN) I realized its Nasty Plot sets had huge potential; Tera Fairy + Draining Kiss is always an obnoxious combination, and Mew had both the bulk and speed to act as an effective cleaner. Thus, I got to work building around it, and after several failed attempts I made a very solid build that managed to get me reqs for the Oricorio suspect under ArmaShouldBBanned. While I could have grinded for a ladder achievement, I was already tuckered out due to the reqs grind being last-minute and I didn't wanna take any more risks. Maybe another time
Also this team is dedicated to my cat Otis, I love him very much even though he bites my ankles and yells at me to take him outside
:mew: :weezing-galar: - After hearing of Mew's potential, I knew that I wanted to build around it. Given our limited hazard removal options, I ultimately opted for G-Weezing due to its ability to act as both a hazard removal and a physical blanket check.
:mew: :weezing-galar: :volcanion: - Volcanion was added next due to its ability to shred bulkier Pokemon thanks to its powerful attacks and Taunt. Being a bulky water check was also nice.
:mew: :weezing-galar: :volcanion: :zapdos-galar: :gligar: - G-Zapdos was added as a bog-standard scarfer and secondary Dark-type check, in addition to having decent offensive synergy with Mew. Gligar showed promise as a hazard setter, pivot, and spreader of Toxic, helping wear down bulkier teams.
:mew: :weezing-galar: :volcanion: :zapdos-galar: :gligar: :magnezone: - I needed a Steel-type, a specially-bulky Pokemon, and a tertiary pivot, so I decided to try Assault Vest Magnezone. It was also a great help against opposing Magnezone and non-Earthquake H-Goodra.
:mew: :weezing-galar: :volcanion: :noivern: :krookodile: :registeel: - However, the team wasn't working. Ghost-types like Gengar were an utter nightmare to face. After getting some input, half of the team was scrapped in favor of a more defensively solid core; Noivern provided speed and progress-making, Krookodile acted as a replacement Choice Scarf user that resisted Ghost, and Registeel served as a more resilient Steel-type that doubled as a Stealth Rock setter.

Earth Power
While it looks like a generic dime-a-dozen Psychic-type, Mew's ability to (effectively) use Nasty Plot combined with Draining Kiss's absurd 75% healing makes it a deceptively dangerous sweeper. Psychic Noise is chosen over Psyshock in order to disrupt healing from bulkier Pokemon that Mew can't immediately KO, like Hippowdon and Slowbro. Earth Power is the coverage of choice due to its higher power than Aura Sphere as well as its ability to hit Hisuian Goodra and Armarouge, something that Flamethrower can't do. Tera Fairy gives Draining Kiss much more punch, turns Mew's Knock Off and U-Turn weaknesses into resistances, and prevents it from being phazed by Dragon Tail Cyclizar and H-Goodra, all in one neat pink package. I usually prefer Lum Berry as Mew tends to come in late-game to sweep; with Synchronize, this lets Mew punishes Pokemon that try to cripple it with status, like Jirachi and Umbreon. Leftovers can also be used and is better against bulkier teams thanks to it giving Mew some sustainability. Mew should really only come in once the opposing team has been weakened and key checks like H-Goodra have been heavily chipped, if not eliminated entirely. From there it's best to set up on more passive Pokemon like Cyclizar and G-Weezing, Teraing once something like Krookodile comes in and/or you need to dent/KO something with Draining Kiss.

Defog
A mostly standard G-Weezing set, there's really not a lot to talk about with the classic smoke stack (please for the love of christ don't rise in july). It's probably the best physical wall and hazard removal in the tier atm (though when your competition for the latter is bum cyclizar, the bar isn't very high). I usually prefer Sludge Bomb due to the fact that it lets Geezing punish the Fire-types that otherwise come in on it for free, like Armarouge or Entei, as well as bulky Psychic-types like Slowbro and opposing Mew. The more standard Strange Steam can be used so that you can attempt to fish for confusion on Steel switchins like Jirachi and Hoodra. While I've used Tera Steel in the past, this team does have trouble with Entei (and the occasional cheesy rain), so I've begun running Tera Water as a panic button against it. Because Geezing invites bulky attackers like Volcanion and Hoodra, you may find yourself needing to be aggressive with Pain Split in order to punish would-be switchins. Other than that there's not much to say; you use it like just about any other standard Geezing.

Earth Power
The SMASHED and SLAMMED king himself, similar to Geezing this set is pretty standard. Taunt is run over Body Press to improve my matchup into Slowbro and Suicune, especially considering the fact that non-AV Hoodra takes more damage from Earth Power and Cyclizar doesn't like getting burned by Steam Eruption (+is already really exploitable). 176 Speed EVs let Volcanion outrun max speed Modest Magnezone (in addition to opposing standard Volcanion), with the rest being put into HP so that it can take advantage of its solid natural bulk. Volcanion tends to come in early in order to make progress with its nuclear attacks in addition to Taunt and Steam Eruption burns. While Volcanion can be used as a Water-type deterrent, caution should be advised against recklessly sending it in due to its limited bulk as well as its reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots.

Roost
The cooler fast utility dragon, Noivern provides the team with extra speed, an additional Ground immunity, and the ability to force progress with Super Fang and Taunt. This set is a hodgepodge of both the offensive and bulky sets, running enough special attack to KO Volcanion with Draco Meteor after a Super Fang while also investing the rest in bulk so that it doesn't die to a stiff breeze. Because Flamethrower does tickle damage to most Dragon-resistant targets not named Forretress (lol), Super Fang is used to get big damage on bulkier Pokemon, particularly those that lack reliable recovery like Hoodra and Registeel. Taunt helps keep Super Fang's damage on while also denying slower setup sweepers like Gyarados and Slowbro. Tera Steel is a good panic button against Fairies and opposing Dragons, and can even let Noivern take Armarouge's Psyshock in a pinch. Noivern, like Volcanion, tends to come in very early in order to force progress against the opposing team, and can come in much more than its teammates thanks to Roost.

Close Combat
The token Ground-type and Scarf user, Krookodile acts as a fast progress maker thanks to Knock Off and its solid typing. Intimidate is the ability of choice, as it lets Krookodile bluff a Stealth Rock set so that it can potentially nab a surprise revenge kill. Moxie is also an option if you're struggling against Bisharp, however. Close Combat is used over Stone Edge in order to take care of opposing Krookodile as well as non-Steel Fighting-weak targets like Cyclizar and Maushold. Speaking of which, a more defensive Tera type of Ghost is used as a panic button against not just boosted Maushold, but also against Fighting-types like Mienshao as well as Entei's Extreme Speed. Similar to Volcanion, Krookodile usually comes in early-mid game in order to chip away at the opposing team with Knock Off as well as to take care of faster threats like Gengar. It should be noted that it's very prediction-reliant by nature; however, overpredicting can spell death for the team. Middle-ground plays are usually the best option when using Krookodile (which usually manifests in the form of clicking Knock Off lol).

Iron Defense
An excellent generalist wall and part-time pinch sweeper, Regi "I was NU for months while Forretress has remained RU for almost 2 years now" steel serves as both a defensive glue and rocks setter for the team. Iron Defense and Body Press prevents Registeel from being completely passive, making it especially valuable against Hyper Offense teams. 148 Special Defense EVs prevents Registeel from being 2HKO'd by non-Analytic Specs Magnezone's Thunderbolt. Tera Ghost is the usual excellent defensive Tera that lets it more easily beat the likes of G-Zapdos and Mamoswine. However, I feel like Tera Fairy or Water could use some more experimentation, as both are excellent defensive types that don't leave Registeel as vulnerable to Knock Off nor Ghosts like Basculegion. Registeel tends to pop in early to set rocks and repeatedly come in during the match due to its bulk and typing. However, much like Volcanion, you need to be careful sending it in due to its lack of reliable recovery and vulnerability to Knock Off.
Threatlist (OR: aegislash and its consequences have been a disaster for the type chart)
:gengar: - My only Ghost resist is Krookodile, and while it does resist both of Gengar's STABs it's also vulnerable to its coverage and/or Will-O-Wisp. Try to keep up offensive pressure with Krookodile, Volcanion, and Noivern; if things get really dire, Teraing Volcanion or even Mew is your best bet. Registeel can also be used in a pinch, but hates Focus Blast, Trick, and Will-O-Wisp
:basculegion-f: - Trades utility for a secondary STAB that can wipe Krookodile off the map, forcing you to play the "Shadow Ball or Surf (or Ice Beam)" guessing game. Similar to Gengar, offensive pressure, Tera Dark Volcanion, and avoiding giving it free switchins (double-switch if you have to) is key, helped by Basc's poor Speed stat
:armarouge: - A pitfall of G-Weezing/Registeel teams is that Armarouge can often find chances to set up and sweep. Volcanion can pressure it and Tera Dark to eat Psyshock in a pinch, and Mew can similarly dispose of it with Earth Power. Tera complicates things a lot; Tera Water can take on Volcanion easily but eventually folds to Noivern and Mew, while Tera Fairy can be dealt with by Gunk Shot Krookodile and, in a pinch, Tera from Registeel. If it Teras, expect to have to trade with it. Meteor Beam variants can be a big headache due to being able to delete Volcanion or Noivern, but are easier to take care of offensively
:entei: - Often an annoyance due to speed-tying with Mew and the fact that it can burn large swaths of the team. Volcanion can threaten it, but doesn't like eating a Stone Edge. Keeping up hazards with Choice Band variants is vital, as while they're offensively threatening they tend to eat shit and die if rocks are up. Krookodile can deal with it if it's worn down, especially with Tera Ghost to block Extreme Speed. Tera Water on Geezing is also a good last resort
:goodra-hisui: - Can be really annoying to deal with as it can remove Registeel's Leftovers and offensively pressure the rest of the team. Wear it down with Flamethrower/Earth Power from Volcanion and Super Fang from Noivern. Choice Specs variants are harder to switch into, but can be exploited and are easier to wear down
:diancie: - Not very common (yet), but Diancie can cause havoc with Trick Room and Meteor Beam, shredding through most of the team. Trading and/or an emergency Tera will be likely, but you can also play risky by Taunting it with Noivern or Volcanion, preventing it from setting up Trick Room

beautiful, awesome art (the weezing galar and volcanion in particular are peak cinema and the mew is very creature) and really cool team, however, however, however, however, i have one very important critique however: why does the type icon for knock off on krook use the terastalized dark type icon and not the normal dark type icon? litterally unreadable?? i'm afraid solely because of that i have to rate your team -27.4/33.333333333
