This Pokemon is tired of monkeying around and sets fire to the stage! Monferno is a multifaceted attacker, capable of pivoting with U-turn, crippling foes with Knock Off, and disposing of high level threats such as Tinkatuff, Thwackey, and Dunsparce thanks to its wonderful STAB combination. Having access to Knock Off is particularly potent in NFE thanks to most walls being reliant on Eviolite, allowing Monferno to support its teammates and their potential to sweep. Speaking of teammates, Tinkatuff and Frogadier are fantastic partners, as each sets entry hazards to wear down the foe while Tinkatuff in particular provides paralysis support so Monferno can outspeed otherwise threatening foes such as opposing Frogadier, Drakloak, and Girafarig. In fact, Girafarig itself is an excellent partner, as it threatens Poison-types such as Mareanie and Koffing that can give Monferno a hard time. Teammates such as Thwackey can provide secondary pivoting and are capable of nailing threats such as Quaxwell and Frogadier while appreciating Monferno's ability to switch-in and take Will-O-Wisp from Koffing.

Being part Fire-type is crucial as a physical attacker to avoid being crippled by Will-O-Wisp from the likes of Misdreavus and Koffing. Having access to Knock Off is particularly potent in NFE thanks to most walls being reliant on Eviolite to tank hits, allowing Monferno to support its teammates and their potential to sweep. Speaking of teammates, Tinkatuff and Frogadier are fantastic partners as each provides entry hazards to wear down the foe while Tinkatuff in particular provides paralysis support to allow Monferno to outspeed otherwise threatening foes such as opposing Frogadier, Drakloak, and Girafarig. In fact, Girafarig is an excellent partner as it threatens Poison-types such as Mareanie and Koffing that can give Monferno a hard time. Furthermore, Monferno pairs exceptionally well with one of the top Pokemon in NFE, Misdreavus, thanks to its ability to threaten Normal-types that otherwise give Misdreavus trouble. i have insider info that misdreavus may not be in the tier come June 2nd... so best to remove the two sentences i crossed out so it's not out of date when posted. can maybe finish off by talking about u-turn and how it can form a solid core with say thwackey to take on quax/wart and frog to handle gabite/koffing. reach out to me if you have any further questions :)
