Welcome all to the third edition of the Draft League subforum's premier team tour, Draft Champions League! This tour will consist of 8 teams which will play 8 games per week in a round robin style tour. The top 4 teams will then battle it out in a playoffs bracket to crown our third DCL champions and win a custom avatar for themselves. This year's hosts are Vertigo, mason, and scionicle.

Manager signups are now open. Each team requires a manager and a co-manager. There will be a minimum of 11 players per team and a budget of 110k total for the auction. Managers will be allowed to self-buy prior to the start of the auction at a cost of 18k per manager. Manager signups should be in the following format:​

Why should the hosting team pick you?:
drizzle: I am an experienced draft player in and out of Smogon Draft, with a strong eye for talent and how to get the best out of players. Thanks to my vast experience in team tours such as winning DLWC 1 and placing in quarterfinals in DLWC 2, and playing in BWT during DFL 1, seeing what makes a good team tick, I feel like I would be perfect in a managerial setting. My managerial experience is mostly from the shadows, and I shadow managed the winning DPL 9 team. Ballio World Tour!

Sablo: I am a veteran of the draft format, having played numerous draft leagues and team tours over the years. I having some captaining experience within two seasons of DPL. I have full confidence in my experience to provide help for my team and provide a positive team experience. I also have the highest amount of losses in all team tours, which I take full pride of.

Why should the hosting team pick you?: #1 draft player + i only have one negative record over the past 2 years. I'm active across the board being experienced in all gens while being at a capable level of each. Hex has managed a fuck ton of tours, including WCOP, on Smogon to tons of success while having experience in draft playing primarily offsite. We both are more than present and able to put in the effort to lead a strong team for this tournament.

Why should the hosting team pick you?: Gorex and I have both been DCL and DPL starters for the past few seasons that we have played respectively, with me being one of the winners of DPL S8 on DVG and making finals in DCL II with the Band Chasers. We also both have prior captain experience in smaller draft tournaments, such as PWS, BoB and PGP. On DCL I's Slaying Girlbosses, Gorex and I played a big part of our incredibly succesful SV core and it shows that we work well together in a team environment at this level. All that being said, Gorex and I are incredibly motivated first and foremost to put our available time into creating a successful and most importantly fun team environment in DCL III.

Why should the hosting team pick you? Addison and I have been mainstays in the draft format for years now with us both finding a multitude of success in both individual performances and also team tours. While we have come to team with one another in DCL I and in the latest season of DPL, neither have seen Addi or I as the captains together running the show. We seek to bring value to the competition by offering managers with vast experience, exceptional playing ability, and a determination to redeem our recent loss while bringing others to success along the way.

You do it through raw consistency and understanding draft league itself. That’s exactly what Wombo and I bring to every tournament we enter and aim to help our teammates achieve.

Why should the hosting team pick you?:

Both Me and Mav have a Lot of Draft Experience. I won The Winter Seasonal last year and finished top 8 in the draft circuit. Managed dlwc, hpl, other discord draft team tours. Won discord leagues like ghold mine, bbl (not the ubers one), zephyr and others. Finished top 4 in the smogon's discord draft. Finished top 4 in wpf last season I played, currently playing this season with 1-0. Was the finalist of GDL last time. Went 8-0 in the regular season of forge one or two season ago. Went unbeaten in pgp last time. Defeated popular players including ogalbina, jscurf,A12squad, gorex etc. in our last meetup.

For Mav, he made semis or better in all tours he has managed never missing playoffs. Won decent amount of draft money tours, won addl, helped a lot of draft poketubers (pokeaim, mefesto, theuzigunner, etc.) with their builds and drafts. Played in all highly reputed official smogon tournaments (SPL, WCOP, SCL). Also the Greatest builder in this planet.

So both of us are ready to rock and take the duty of one Draft team and lead them to victory while making it a fun and memorable tour experience for everyone involved✌️

Why should the hosting team pick you?

Jesse and I have both been DPL and DCL mainstays in recent times, with Jesse being proficient in both singles and doubles and then me innovating r1 Bellibolt to win Summer Seasonal or something. Jesse has captaining experience from PWS (capping a team to playoffs in multiple different seasons) and I have experience from last DCL, which was both a good experience but also had room to improve in certain aspects. Our main goal as a team environment is not necessarily just to win, but also to make sure that the experience is enjoyable for our players with an active and healthy environment.
