Welcome to ADVLTL I.

gm feel free to dm us replays, tours standings, ladder peaks or why we should pick you. Pm us here or on discord ( girlsdodrugs or lhions ). We will NOT be doing tryout games, but there will be an insanely low chance that we ask if you can do one if we deem fit.

Picture this: it's late in the draft. Your budget is in ruins after selling the farm for ADV superstar Lyra. ADV NU players are getting drafted left and right, and you feel a sense of hopelessness for the slot. But then, on the signup sheet, you see a name that gives you a glimmer of hope: Shengineer.

I've been taking a deep dive into ADV NU lately, having supported the slot for NUCL and NUPL, and am now playing in NUFL. I'm both a self-sufficient builder and competent clicker - draft me if you want to win and have a little fun along the way :)

Most of y'all don't know me, so instead of DMing a bunch of people, here's my open introduction:
The fastest way to describe me is high elo low gxe.
I play for the love of the game and can get crazy in the builder, but not just to use crazy stuff- I make decisions for results (ask for a replay of lead :azurill: Azurill or mimic Tentacruel directly contributing to UUBL tournament wins).
I am competent at building and playing but by no means a master like some of the other entrants.
I went into UUBL a couple months ago with zero knowledge or research and did okay in the tournaments (top 4 in ladder tour, top 6 still being decided in revival's UUBL unleashed), so I feel like my ability to be slotted blind into a format is fair for a cheap pick. I played a bit of ZU a while ago with okay success as well, though not a lot to show for it, and went 0 to 1500 in a couple days in ADV randbats for what that's worth. But I have a bad habit of throwing games I've otherwise won (the_chungler commented on the most recent time that happened where I somehow picked literally the only path that lost me the game).
So pick me if you're willing to take a risk

Hi, I’m CD56, some may know me as CD, I’m potentially interested in this event.

I wont toot my own horn too much but some of my accolades include reaching top 500 multiple times in ADV OU ladder, My WR is low though because I like to build. I’m always trying to experiment and self build teams. I have been a big enthusiast of the UUBL tier, both playing the tier and placing high on the monthly ladder, as well as playing and using a LOT of those mons in OU play and seeing success. I also have experience in ZU, PU, UUBL, and ADV 200. I really like gen 3 metas and trying to unlock the pandora’s box of pokemon is what I am about, how can something be minmaxed or how can I solve a very specific problem. Or, How can I use said weaker mon’s unique traits to carve a path to victory? I think a mindset like this will be potentially valuable for something like this, and I’m no top player but I definitely would not consider myself a scrub either. Thanks for reading!

I figure no one here knows me unless you've happened to run into me in a recent tour, so guess I'll introduce myself.

I'm Garpachi and I spend way more time in the teambuilder trying to make interesting teams than I do battling. I've entered a few recent tours, most recently making the second bracket round of Revival's UUBL unleashed tour and participating in Revival 2 with...okay-ish results. Most of my replays will be archived battles from those tournaments--I rarely ladder unless I'm testing out some weird teams ideas I've been thinking about. Of the tiers in this event, I've only played UUBL, but would be willing to give anything a try if needed.

I have no tour results so I feel like posting here is the only way I get noticed.
Hi, I'm Kizaco. I tend to play a lot of very niche random tiers, but am also a very quick learner and pick up whatever tiers I find interesting incredibly fast. Due to this, I tend to be able to build teams that work pretty well in the tiers I understand. My tier in this case is ADV ZU. I can probably *play* most other tiers but I tend to thrive in lower power level environments (PU and below), or AG. which isn't in this tournament.. I don't have any accolades mainly because I really don't play many tours, but if you pick me up I will promise I will try to get you your money's worth.

hello, i'm Lory and no one knows me as well so i'll post a few words here in hopes of boosting my chances!

i really like ADV and i've been trying more of its lower tiers ever since the UUBL tournament in Revival Discord (which i fell in love with and is by far the lower tier i have the most knowledge in). i'd really love to share a team tour experience to learn more about these lower tiers and share the hobby with other people. i would love playing for the team but i'd also be interested in just being a substitute or support for the team.

the only results i have to share are making it to round 3 in the aforementioned UUBL tournament, reaching 1342 elo on the UUBL ladder and the lower 1500s on the OU ladder.

thank you for your consideration :)

Hi, I'm the superior italian. That is all. <3 Zac

Orre Colosseum is now a challengeable format on Showdown, hooray!
You can find it under "Past Generations" -> Gen 3 [Orre Colosseum]

Here's everything you need to know about Orre Colosseum in ADVLTL:
- Matches are played as sets of Best of 3: Tick the Bo3 box when challenging your opponent. (You have to use the same team throughout the whole set, you cannot change it between games.)
- Matches are played with Open Teamsheets (OTS): Either both players need to click the "Accept Open Team Sheets" button before choosing their 4 mons, or OTS has to be forced by the challenge command /challenge gen3orrecolosseum @@@ best of = 3, force open teamsheets (All the moves (including Hidden Power types), items and abilities will be public information from the beginning of the match.)
- Orre uses the VGC timer (Team Preview: 90 sec, Turn Timer: 55 sec, Your Time: 7 min). Since we're playing on Showdown, there will be no turn limit regardless if timer is on or not.

For more general info about Orre Colosseum, you can find all the rules explained in detail here: https://orrecolosseum.wordpress.com/rules/

For all the info and resources, check out the main Orre thread: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/orre-colosseum-now-playable.3698894/

Key things to note:
- No moves are banned in Orre. The only item that is banned is Soul Dew.
- The banlist includes only the Restricteds (Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza) and Mythicals (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys)
- Orre is played with the Exact HP Mod. That means you can see the opponent's HP stats at all times. You can deduce their HP EVs from there. (This simulates how XD PvP battles work.)

If you want more info and to learn about all of Orre's unique quirks, I recommend watching my video where I explain everything in-depth:

Here to drop a little collection of my thoughts regarding the Orre players to hopefully help with draft. For reference Orre Cups (OC) are our one day swiss tours and Mt Battle (MB) is our longer, scheduled format.

Must Drafts:
  • Nnico
    • Generally considered best player of the format
    • Winner of OCX (biggest tour) and MB5
    • Creator of the only major non MetaLatiZap team
      • Creative teambuilder
  • Oopsgtg
    • No direct wins but numerous top cuts
    • Very strong user of solid teams
    • Incredibly consistent
  • Zee
    • Less frequent player but the VGC skill speaks for itself
    • Solid showing in every tour played
Solid contenders:
  • For 4LOM
    • OC finalist
    • Strong player and teambuilder
  • Akiak
    • OCxToR side tour winner (similar to an OC)
    • Oldhead of the format
    • Incredibly experienced teambuilder who believes in mons others are quick to discard
  • GrandmasCookin
    • Veteran of the format
    • Top cut OCX
    • Very strong player just having joined fewer recent tours
  • FBISurveillanceMan (JoshM&S)
    • Im not a narcissist I just have good tour results I promise (OC14 winner, other top cuts)
Other good picks:
  • BLJ Mario
    • Top 4 of OC14
    • Utilises niche mons to great success
      • Unpredictable builder who thinks outside the box
  • Charliezard7
    • Strong OC12 showing
    • Generally decent performance
    • Very experienced and only getting better over time
  • AKhant
    • Good showing in OC14 and top cut in OC15 (non standard)
    • Player to look out for whos results may be limited only by lack of tour experience
There are a few honourable mentions like 2xNoodle, Kerthwack, Shiritu who are all strong players but the above players are the ones I felt most confident recommending, hopefully others can fill in any gaps I missed :)

I'll be honest, I have little ADV experience, with most of it consisting of giving ADV slots in NUFL some test games on the weeks our teams dont face off, though I am actively working to gain more of it. I am a decent clicker, albeit imperfect. I do believe I can perform well in ADV NU especially. A consideration for me, even as a sub, would be appreciated, and a selection in the draft would put me over the moon.
Thank you.
P.S. perhaps persons like Shengineer and/or Vaporeonds and/or DD Joe can vouch ? Most unlikely, though. Have a nice commencement :)

In addition to the players here who got write-ups, both myself and zioziotrip have top cut both a standard Orre tournament and a non-standard format tournament (zioziotrip's was a win in a draft format tournament and his standard top cut was in our largest tournament by player count). I would put zioziotrip into the "Other Good Picks" category for Orre players.

I probably should stay in the HMs category though, I don't have a history of being a strong teambuilder in standard. If chosen to start, I would be asking someone from the Orre community who didn't go drafted to at least be a non-rostered support to assist me on that front, but the fact that I would have to I imagine comes as a bit of a liability. I do think I have value though as a 3K minimum buy to be bench player and practice partner for Orre and DOU, I'm totally commited to practice as a team player so any manager should consider me if they wanna round out their doubles bench for cheap :)

Also, FBISurveilanceMan is not being a narcissist by putting him in that category and I would even place him higher in the Must Picks category. He's good. 1st and 4th in the only two standard tournaments he's played, both of which were in the last twelve months.

Hello. My name is fernanch, i am a lc player that started playing competitive since the begining of last year, and started playing adv lc since the porygon bizarre adventure tour. Since them, i have been following the tier closely, always wanting to play, but getting things in the way of it, where i couldnt really build because of irl stuff, but recently i got way more free. Unfortunately, i didnt have time to prove myself in the tier, besides some tests games that i cannot share, and lcpl prep help that i also cannot share, but i wanted to be considered as an option in the coming draft in some way. So, what i did was a video, where i analyze the advpl lc slot finals, in which i wanted to show that i know good part of the tier in my analysis, but also show the tier to people that do not know about it.

Anyways, have a good day and enjoy the rest of the week
