Dear ADV community,
It has been a genuine pleasure serving you over the past half-decade. Looking back, it’s remarkable how much this metagame has grown. What began as a barely active ADV ladder has flourished into one with six-digit monthly activity. The tour scene has blossomed from small, scattered events on external forums into a vibrant ecosystem of frequent tournaments across Smogon and several Discord servers, welcoming players of all levels. Metagame resources, once scattered and bite-sized, have evolved into a rich tradition where top players regularly share their teams. And this forum, once just a fragment of the original RoA forum, has matured into a thriving hub of its own.
I’m grateful to have contributed to this community’s growth and vitality, and I’m confident it will continue to soar. However, due to real-life commitments and my reduced involvement with the game, I can no longer effectively lead this forum. I will continue to hang around as a member of the community, but it’s time for me to step down to make space for dedicated and capable ADVers to further efforts in integrating new players, fostering metagame discussion, and organizing tours.
Please join me in welcoming mielke and mason as the new moderators of the ADV forum. Both have demonstrated outstanding dedication in curating resources and running tournaments. Their new roles will enable them to further elevate the state of ADV.
