[SET COMMENTS]
Victini solidifies itself as an effective pivot, having the ability to defensively check foes like Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant as well as force switches with its coverage options. Bolt Strike grants it the opportunity to hit Water-types like Toxapex, Slowbro, and Alomomola that would otherwise try to switch in on its V-create in addition to targeting Moltres and Mega Charizard Y. U-turn lets Victini pivot out against switch-ins such as Mega Latios, Ting-Lu, and Roaring Moon. Encore discourages the use of status moves from slower foes such as Gliscor, Zapdos, and the aforementioned Toxapex. It also prevents Pokemon like Zamazenta and Roaring Moon from setting up on Victini for free. Toxic is another possible option that allows Victini to put checks like Landorus-T, Mega Latios, and Great Tusk on a timer. One last potential option is Glaciate, hitting Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Dragonite and preventing them from being reliable switch-ins; it also stops Victini from being complete setup fodder for the latter.
Victini finds itself on a plethora of bulky offense and balance teams. These teams appreciate Victini's coverage options putting pressure on common defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Alomomola, and Moltres, which many teams rely on to check offensive threats. Kingambit values Victini as a partner, as they overwhelm shared checks like Alomomola, Great Tusk, and Landorus-T. Additionally, Victini is a good check to Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant, and Kingambit answers foes such as Mega Tyranitar and Roaring Moon. Victini is vulnerable to faster threats such as Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, so checks such as Raging Bolt and Mega Venusaur are appreciated. In return, Victini provides a switch-in against Fairy- and Psychic-type foes like Tapu Lele, which not many Pokemon can reliably switch into. If Victini is not running Glaciate, it is vulnerable to Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Dragonite, as they can use it as setup fodder; therefore, partners like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant are effective, both of which also beat Dark-types like Mega Tyranitar and Kingambit. They're also great speed control options that help assist Victini, as it is outsped by a plethora of foes, the most notable being Ogerpon-W and Mega Diancie. Tapu Koko is another ally that is able to outspeed the Pokemon that threaten Victini like (Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R) . It also provides a useful boost to Victini's Bolt Strike in Electric Terrain and forms a strong VoltTurn core with it that overwhelms defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Ferrothorn, and Heatran. Hisuian Samurott is also an effective partner, as it is able to set Spikes for Victini via Ceaseless Edge, which is beneficial because many of Victini's checks lack Heavy-Duty Boots like Ting-Lu, Garchomp, and Heatran.
