Victini solidifies itself as an effective pivot, having the ability to defensively check foes like Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant as well as force switches with its coverage options. Bolt Strike grants it the opportunity to hit Water-types like Toxapex, Slowbro, and Alomomola that would otherwise try to switch in on its V-create in addition to targeting Moltres and Mega Charizard Y. U-turn lets Victini pivot out against switch-ins such as Mega Latios, Ting-Lu, and Roaring Moon. Encore discourages the use of status moves from slower foes such as Gliscor, Zapdos, and the aforementioned Toxapex. It also prevents Pokemon like Zamazenta and Roaring Moon from setting up on Victini for free. Toxic is another possible option that allows Victini to put checks like Landorus-T, Mega Latios, and Great Tusk on a timer. One last potential option is Glaciate, hitting Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Dragonite and preventing them from being reliable switch-ins; it also stops Victini from being complete setup fodder for the latter.

Victini finds itself on a plethora of bulky offense and balance teams. These teams appreciate Victini's coverage options putting pressure on common defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Alomomola, and Moltres, which many teams rely on to check offensive threats. Kingambit values Victini as a partner, as they overwhelm shared checks like Alomomola, Great Tusk, and Landorus-T. Additionally, Victini is a good check to Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant, and Kingambit answers foes such as Mega Tyranitar and Roaring Moon. Victini is vulnerable to faster threats such as Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, so checks such as Raging Bolt and Mega Venusaur are appreciated. In return, Victini provides a switch-in against Fairy- and Psychic-type foes like Tapu Lele, which not many Pokemon can reliably switch into. If Victini is not running Glaciate, it is vulnerable to Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Dragonite, as they can use it as setup fodder; therefore, partners like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant are effective, both of which also beat Dark-types like Mega Tyranitar and Kingambit. They're also great speed control options that help assist Victini, as it is outsped by a plethora of foes, the most notable being Ogerpon-W and Mega Diancie. Tapu Koko is another ally that is able to outspeed the Pokemon that threaten Victini like (Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R) . It also provides a useful boost to Victini's Bolt Strike in Electric Terrain and forms a strong VoltTurn core with it that overwhelms defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Ferrothorn, and Heatran. Hisuian Samurott is also an effective partner, as it is able to set Spikes for Victini via Ceaseless Edge, which is beneficial because many of Victini's checks lack Heavy-Duty Boots like Ting-Lu, Garchomp, and Heatran.

Victini solidifies itself as effective pivot in the natdex metagame tier how? talk abt its good defenisve utility (vs lele, val, zardy) and its strong attacks forcing switches well. Bolt Strike grants it the opportunity to hit Water-types like Toxapex, Slowbro, and Alomomola that would otherwise try to switch in on its STAB move V-create could mention it also hitting zardy and moltres. U-Turn lets Victini pivot out of switch-ins such as Mega Latios and Ting-Lu should mention roaring moon. Encore discourages recovery attempts from the aforementioned Water-Types slower foes such as Gliscor, Zapdos and the aforementioned Toxapex. it It also prevents Pokemon like Zamazenta and Roaring Moon from setting up on it for free could reword this as "use of status moves" cuz then u could add hazard moves from ferro/lando etc BUT up to u cuz this is fine. Toxic another possible option allows it to put checks like Landorus-T, Mega Latios, and Great Tusk on a timer. One last potential option is Glaciate, (AC) this hits four times weak Ground-type Pokemon like Gliscor, Landorus-T and Garchomp doing major chip damage in the process. hitting Landorus-T, Garchomp and Dragonite, preventing them from being reliable switch-ins. could say it prevents tini from being complete setup fodder for the latter (encore loses 1v1 anyways cuz tini is faster)

Victini finds itself on a plethora of Bulky Offense and Balance teams. These teams appreciate Victini's coverage options putting pressure on common defensive Pokemon like Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor Ferrothorn, Alomomola and Moltres, (AC) previous examples only work for glaciate variants (aka the last slash) which many teams rely on them to check offensive threats. Kingambit values Victini as a partner as they overwhelm their shared checks like Alomomola, Great Tusk, and Landorus-T mention victini being a good check to fighting types like zama and val, while kgb can handle mega ttar and roaring moon. Victini is also found on Sun teams partnered with Mega Charizard Y forming a core that’s very difficult to respond to defensively, since it also powers Victini's V-create with the sun it sets. Victini in return pressures Mega Charizard Y's checks such as Mega Latios, Garchomp and Toxapex. this is scarf victini that is used on sun, not HDB victini, at least not as common, i wouldnt mention it ngl Victini is vulnerable to faster threats such as Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R. Therefore, checks such as Raging Bolt and Mega Venusuar is appreciated. what does victini offer in return? (fairy/psychic switch in); also mention how victini is weak to Dragon-types in general if not running glaciate, so fairy types like lele or val are appreciated, both of which also beat dark types like kgb or ttar

good para gets to the point
Victini finds itself on a plethora of Bulky Offense and Balance teams. These teams appreciate Victini's coverage options putting pressure on common defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Alomomola and Moltres, which many teams rely on them to check offensive threats. Kingambit values Victini as a partner as they overwhelm their shared checks like Alomomola, Great Tusk, and Landorus-T. Additionally, Victini is also a good check to Zamazenta and Iron Valiant. This is a bit untrue holistically, with Zama able to outspeed and kill Vic with Stedge OR Crunch. Maybe use Volcarona or some other mon more reliant on Fighting or Psychic moves to make progress (Glowking and of course Lele come to mind). This could be swung down further in the paragraph to make a more consistent point about Victini's ability to convert its typing into either kills or momentum if it switches into the right move. A Tapu Lele psychic into tini means a V-create is connecting if possible, and if not, Victini is generating offensive momentum for free.In return, Kingambit answers foes such as Mega Tyranitar and Roaring moon. Victini is vulnerable to faster threats such as Ogerpon-W and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R. Therefore, checks such as Raging Bolt and Mega Venusuar is are appreciated. In return, [AC]Victini provides Fairy and Pyschic type switch in against foes like Tapu Lele. This sentence feels a little dead in the water (pun intended) and emphasizing the value of Victini's defensive profile can probably be expanded upon. Mentioning specs IVal, Kyurem (iffy on this since EP chunks so hard but on variants without its fine), or unboosted Volcarona as viable switchins is probably worth it just to beef up the value of Victini's role as a pivot. Maybe focus on how valuable the Fire-typing is defensively with so much moonblast and steel moves floating around (most obviously msciz bullet punch). If Victini is not running Glaciate it is pretty vulnerable to Dragon-Types such as Garchomp and Dragonite as they can use it as set up fodder. Therefore, [AC] partners like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant are effective partners both of which also beat Dark-Types like Mega Tyranitar and Kingambit. Beef up this last sentence a bit, since lele and Ival can do more than just beat dragons and darks, they serve as really important speed control that Victini really wants and needs.

Think mentioning somewhere how much Victini values the ability to come in safely is probably worthwile. Fintans mentioned the contradictory nature of this, but I think emphasizing how Victini both functions as part of a pivot core as well as exploiting the opportunities created by other members of the core is really crucial for Victini's success. Tini getting to come in and force something out with V-create only to pivot itself is an insane momentum generator that is 10000% worth mentioning and probably the most valuable aspect of boots Vic. A quick mention of this (along with maybe a nod to Koko who serves to alleviate Victini's speed and Dragon issue, while providing another source of pivoting to form a strong core) could be worth pursuing. Re: that comment about making a more structured point on momentum, a mention of spikes/hazards support (hamu comes to mind to also pair nicely with the speed and dark resist issue) could definitely be worth mentioning, since so many of Victini's strongest switch-ins often fail to run boots.
