Welcome to the third edition of the Sword & Shield Premier League! This thread is for the signups for those who wish to manage in the tour. Information about the tournament can be found in the SS OU Discord server. The hosts for this edition of SSPL are mason, Lialiabeast, and Akeras.

There will be 8 teams for this tournament.
When signing up, YOU MUST SIGN UP WITH ONE OR TWO ASSISTANT MANAGER and state who they are. ONLY ONE OF THE THREE MANAGERS will be able to purchase themselves for 15k credits prior to the draft if they wish to do so.

Managers will be chosen based on experience in SS tournaments, their level of involvement in the community and knowledge of the playerbase, their general competence, and prowess in managing in other high level tournaments in other tiers. If you do sign up, it would be worth explaining why you and your assistant manager would be good picks with relation to the above criteria.

If you are a returning manager, make sure to identify the team which you are reclaiming by the letter assigned to it. Returning managers will be given priority to reclaim their existing teams, but they may not take over a team that was not previously theirs.

  • If you'd like to retain a player, the price will be equal to their price in SSPL II + 3k, with a minimum price of 10k.
  • One manager may self buy for 15k.
  • Only 3 retains are allowed per team; a manager self buy counts as one retain.

Why should we be picked: Joya and I are looking to defend our title, having won the previous edition as player and manager respectively on the Turía Slowpokes. Joya and Airi both have extensive experience managing, having managed in EPL and various other tournaments last year, including a 6-1 record in ORASPL, while I have followed up my SSPL triumph with a playoff appearance in CNPL and a promising 9-3 win in W1 of RoAPL alongside decent results in other tournaments (e.g. playoffs in DLWC, undefeated regular season in Masters League, etc). We believe that our enthusiasm (all three of us are regular participants in SS circuit, with Joya and I making circuit playoffs in 2023 and 2024 respectively) and knowledge of the generation make us an excellent managerial trio for the tournament :sphearical:.

Staxi won smpl, upl and scl as a managed and is managing current smpl too .They also Manager SSPL 1 Were they lead their team to semis.As a player they were a member of the Ubers Tiering Council during SS era for more than a year. They are one of the best managers ever produced on this site in the ss era. Speaking of myself i have managed BSSPL twice to finals,AXPL finals,HGPL winner,Currently Managing NUFL (has ss nu),Asia in BW world cup reaching quarters as of now and ADPL.Entrocefalo had won ss global championship,sm global championship,ss cup, ag circuit champ.
Managed UPL and won, Won ADPL As a player, Has played all officals Including SPL,SCL 2x,WCUP 2x. The three of us are very excited to manage and motivated enough to manage and win!

I have many manager experience, managed many world cup and get champion in PUWC, runner up in RUWC, was being Chinese PL, Masters League and RUGL manager and Chinese PL/RUGL are getting playoff, i also touched all SS tier so have enough experience and resource to support us.
xqiht is a successful DOU player in China, have good DOU knowledge, he has managed DWCOP, two derby and one DPL so also have enough manage experience.
Jeza.P also have many manager experience, like manage RUPL, UUFPL, etc. He can give more support of team and make team activity.

I’ve managed numerous tours, including AAAPL I and II, OMFL V (which we won), OMFL VI (currently ongoing), NFEPL VII, NDOTSL II (Playoffs), OMWC VII (Playoffs), AGWL II (1st place), ELL (Playoffs), and WCOP 2025. Across all the PLs I’ve managed, I’ve only missed playoffs twice—demonstrating consistency and the ability to lead competitive teams.
MirrorSama adds further depth with experience managing CPL, AGWL, UMBD, MDPL, and more—consistently reaching finals and winning multiple major tournaments such as NDBD, AGPL, AGWL, UMPL, and UMBD. He’s also assisted in managing UMPL and AGPL, and actively played in tours like UWC, RBYWC, UPL, and RCOP—mostly on SS tiers, where he’s highly competent.
Ezra, meanwhile, is managing SSNDPL and brings strong SS expertise, having played for Team Asia in SS during WCOP last year. He’s highly knowledgeable in the tier and a dependable presence in high-stakes team environments.
Together, we form a well-balanced and experienced trio. With a history of success, deep tier knowledge (especially SS), and strong team dynamics, we’re confident in our ability to build a competitive and cohesive team. If given the opportunity, we aim not only to compete at a high level but also to foster a strong, supportive team culture throughout the tour.

Avarice made Finals of SS rising stars, made playoffs last time managing SSPL, won UUSD and UUBD as a manager and most recently made finals of NDWC. Other than these, they are WCOP winner and also one time SCL winner. I, on the other hand have managed SMPL twice last yr and also UMBD OGPL Masters League Solomods PL etc this yr while also managing NDWC India for a yr. I and ava got into managership last yr but were later replaced due to controversies. Plague has managed and won BDSPPL as maaneger, made PTPL and UUPL playoffs as manager and also won ADVPL as being manager with one of the most dominant record ever. They also played as player in last SSPL and have 100% poffs rate in real tours. We have returned after so much controversies last yr to claim the title!

me, pj and vulpix are active and supportive members of smogon community. We all have knowledge of the tiers in SSPL. I captained team Asia in WCOP this year. I am also involved in monotype community, allowing me to help with the newly added Monotype slot. Pj has been actively partcipating in official tours such as SPLs and WCOPs. This year he finally clinched the SPL trophy. He also partcipates in varity of tours such as HPL, OUPL, SMPL, etc and also played last year's SSPL as well. Vulpix is a established manager and has managed plenty of tours such as SPL, SCL, RoaPL, DPPPL. We all are hyped to work togather and win this SSPL.

confirming. I also invented SS PU and made slam playoffs during SS so I have plenty of knowledge regarding the lower tiers

I've managed 30+ tours on this site and made playoffs in all but a few, including managing SSPL last year where my team ended reg season as the #1 seed. I've also played and/or supported all SS metas in previous tours. Stories won NUPL amd RUWC as a manager and had the best NU record in this tour last year, and Wesley has managed multiple tours such as ADPL, ROAPL, LCPL, SMPL, and BWWC. Managerial results and last year's performance speaks for itself, going all the way this year frfr.
