Wall of text incoming, don't mind me.
I would like to extend a big thank you to everybody on the Crimson Eclipse for making this team tournament experience wonderful, enjoyable, and even memorable. I've never played Anything Goes in a competitive setting before this, but I've remained watchful of the scene for years. It feels surreal to play against (or even alongside) people that I've seen long ago. It was a privilege to be drafted onto the team, and it was a privilege to play for the team as well. I am grateful I was able to witness the team's journey from start to finish, and it was easily the most invested I've been for a team tourney. We might not have emerged victorious this year, but I like to think that we emerged victorious in the sense that we were able to establish a good rapport with one another on the team-- I wouldn't mind working with you all again!
That being said, I'm going to do some individual shout outs to my fellow teammates:
Icemaster -- I loved the energy that you brought to the teamcord! You were extremely helpful and supportive, even going so far as to ensure that virtually every slot was all set before the matches actually took place, and this didn't wane with the progression of the season-- which I am immensely appreciate of, and that kind of support to be seen in a team is nothing short of amazing. Thank you, Icemaster. May we cross paths in the future.
RichardMillePlain -- Richard! I loved the energy that you brought to the teamcord as well. I am convinced that if it weren't for the optimism and humor that you shown throughout the weeks, I don't think the teamcord experience as a whole would have been as memorable as it was for me. You were awesome to have around, and I mean it.
Geysers -- First and foremost, I'd like to formally apologize for driving you crazy with the silly team concepts that I occasionally send. With that out of the way, your contributions towards the team have been exceptional, and I don't just mean in terms of games played. The building support you have provided throughout the season was much appreciated, you were willing to devote time into the teamcord (even with life getting in the way), and your knowledge with Anything Goes as a tier has proven to be valuable for our team's successes. I (hopefully) say this for the entire team when I say this, but thanks for the help, Geysers!
Baddy -- We may not have interacted much, but I would like to take this time to applaud you for your exceptional performance this season! I was honestly surprised that you ended up going for 4K at the auction (if my memory serves me correctly), especially since you are an incredible player. I am curious to see how much you'll go for in future iterations of AGPL, should you sign up again. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Plague -- Regardless of what the results might dictate, I am very much appreciative of you taking the time to put yourself out there; that takes a lot of courage, no doubt about it. That is a very valuable attribute to have, and I believe that tenacity should be acknowledged. You were willing to put in time and effort to help contribute to the team, and I respect it-- thank you for stepping forth. I wish we could have interacted more with one another, but I throughly enjoyed the experiences shared between us. Wishing you all the best for your future games!
Horii -- Even when faced with the stress of having to play a Best of 3 to decide our team's fate in a crucial week (and that's even before considering the bad luck that showed itself), you didn't let that bad energy stop you. In spite of such, you kept cheering for the team, and I can't help but commend that. Your activity in the teamcord and willingness to contribute for the team is not something that can be ignored. I am very much looking forward to seeing how you'll do in the future, AGPL or otherwise.
Tocause -- You had a lot of insightful pointers and tips for the SV slots specifically, and while it is a shame that this has not been your season, I am of the belief that you were an amazing team member nonetheless, backed by the fact that the support you've given has helped the team out. I wish we got to interact with each other more. Perhaps an opportunity for such will make itself known in future tournaments, but only time will tell.
Dockiva~~ -- I appreciate your contributions for the USUM slot! It is a shame that you were lucked out on a couple of occasions in your games, but that is the game we play. It is also unfortunate that we weren't able to interact too much, but I am hoping that this could perhaps be changed with future opportunities.
velvet -- You were wonderful this season, both in your matches (ignoring the psyspam game, I apologize for co-signing that idea with the others, haha) and your presence in the teamcord! You were always present to chip in your two cents in the older generation slots, and that was certainly admirable. Assuming I'm not mistaken, I also heard that you're currently in some other team tourneys currently, so best of luck with those. I don't doubt that you will do good there as well.
entrocefalo -- While we hadn't interacted with each other too much, your presence was certainly felt in the teamcord. Even though there were some scheduling mishaps (which is completely okay, it happens to the best of us), you still put in the time and effort for the team, and I can respect that. Although, I do still wonder what you meant by this:
Nevertheless, it was a pleasure working with you.
And while you two weren't a part of the team formally, you definitely took the time to lend a hand. So, without further ado:
Carson Clay -- It is genuinely such a shame that you couldn't be a part of the team, especially with the nice USUM knowledge that you have. You were there for every step of the way of the Crimson Eclipse's journey, and I can certainly say that your presence was most definitely appreciated-- both with the occasional chats we'd have with one another and in the teamcord. I am very thankful that I have gotten to know you through this teamtour experience. Here's hoping that we can formally be on a team together at some point.
Adhi -- I've seen you around on numerous occasions, but you stopping by to lend us a hand was when I really got to know you. As soon as you entered the teamcord, you were all about business, and I can't help but respect the hustle very much-- it's like you were a part of the team. I appreciated the test games that you've offered to me unprompted.
And finally, from the bottom of my heart, thank you,
Jeza.p (and likely
entrocefalo as well, seeing that he was a manager). Thank you for not only considering me to be a part of the team, but for making this entire experience possible. I couldn't have been more appreciative of such. You are easily one of the best, if not the best, managers that I've had the pleasure of working with.
