Project National Dex OU: Break This Core

Volcanion @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower / Fire Spin
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Click taunt vs pex and you should win the 1v1 (Fire spin is an option if you want to snipe pex more reliably)

252+ SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 220+ SpD Gliscor: 354-416 (100.2 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Volcanion Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 228 SpD Toxapex: 136-162 (44.8 - 53.4%) -- 32.4% chance to 2HKO

This also does well vs common steel types that are usually paired with Gliscor and Pex (like ghold and ferro)

Ok so Look: two super effective moves, boots, a complex EV spread, absolutely smacks them in Practice, EV'd to outspeed the one mon in the Core it's not the best against and sub up, EQ doesnt pop the sub, (I think) (yea Look it lives 1 HP on mAX roll lol 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 152 HP / 60 Def Glastrier: 79-94 (20.8 - 24.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO) look no further! This is your counter! Slappable on all kinds of teams for devastating power!

Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- Power Whip
- Taunt
- Swords Dance

One of the most definitive breakers in the tier, and for good reason. Taunt nigh guarantees its ability to break gliscpex cores by denying Toxapex its ability to click Toxic or Haze, leaving its only option to heal us with Scald. Gliscor falls to a similar fate.

252 Atk Wellspring Mask Ogerpon-Wellspring Ivy Cudgel vs. 244 HP / 36 Def Gliscor: 296-350 (84 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal

+2 252 Atk Wellspring Mask Ogerpon-Wellspring Power Whip vs. 248 HP / 24+ Def Toxapex: 276-325 (91 - 107.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Wellspring: 60-71 (19.9 - 23.5%) -- possible 5HKO

vibe check! (Hatterene) (F) @ Leftovers

EVs: 68 HP / 156 Def / 152 SpA / 132 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psychic Noise
- Draining Kiss
- Mystical Fire
152 SpA Hatterene Psychic Noise vs. 248 HP / 220 SpD Toxapex: 152-180 (50.1 - 59.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Gliscor EQ: 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 68 HP / 156+ Def Hatterene: 84-100 (30.8 - 36.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 51-61 (18.7 - 22.4%) -- possible 5HKO (say it got burnt because your luck is trash so you got burnt)
0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 51-61 (18.7 - 22.4%) -- possible 6HKO no burnt

152 SpA Hatterene Draining Kiss vs. 248 HP / 216+ SpD Gliscor: 72-85 (20.3 - 24%) -- possible 8HKO

+1 152 SpA Hatterene Draining Kiss vs. 248 HP / 216+ SpD Gliscor: 106-126 (30 - 35.6%) -- 3.3% chance to 4HKO after Poison Heal
note the amount healed.
also 68 EVs in HP to make maximum lefties recovery because divisible by 16
132 to outspeed tinglu andI used the sample set and changed the EVs a bit because i needed the SpA to guaranteed 2hko pex with psynoise.

magic bounce to shut down pex only move it can use is scald so yk. And then scor same things cant set up hazards no toxic makes it sad.

ok so say leading into this the pex lead first ( will do two scenarios of either mon leading first.)
turn one psynoise does 50.1% then pex does 22.4%'
turn 2 psynoise from hat then pex dies switch in scor
This is a close one but its ok nonetheless(hatterene is at 84% here)
turn 1 cm gliscor EQ 36% -7% to hatterene(lefties). Hatterene 47%, gliscor 100%. Lets say gliscor got toxic'd already
Gliscor EQ again, hatterene draining kiss. hatterene recovers 1% less than gliscor does damage with dkiss, so say Gliscor does 35% and hatterene does 34 minus 13 % from toxic orb. . hatterene recovers 33% + 7% from lefties. Hatterene eventually beats it burnt or not. Ends with ~20%-80% pretty volatile but the range is only wins depends on rolls and how many times scor uses protect

ok so turn 1 hat calm mind gliscor eq 33% - 7% = 27% hat is +1 at 74%
And turn 2 draining kiss does 30 - 35 and heals around the same. after lefties you have more health than you started. You beat the gliscor with around 60% - 80% depending on protect.
Pex comes in you psynoise it twice and you win end with 45% - 72% depending on wether pex uses scald or not and also burn.
Ik its boring. Shut up.

Just click weather ball. Outspeeds gholdengo so no Twave shenanigans and even though venusaur outspeeds in base form under sun, this bulky set can easily shrug it off and out heal it with roost.

Base Venusaur:
156+ SpA Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Charizard-Mega-Y: 109-130 (30.2 - 36.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after poison damage
