The A ranked OU steel falls down. I hate it when ladder does gibs (especially when it’s getting ignored while other actually mid mons are somehow still getting used enough to be OU like Dondozo).

Well I guess it is time to discuss my thoughts on these changes.
First off MY BOI SCIZOR IS OU LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!! And so did Deoxys Speed Galarian Weezing and Ceruledge but who cares about those guys.
It is a bit unfortunate that Scizor fell a bit in usage this month but hopefully now that it is ou ladder players will see it in teambuilder and start spamming it on every team (lol). Honestly, I am not surprised about Deoxys Speed of Gweezing but Ceruledge came out of left field I wasn't expecting that. As for Tinkaton...well it was bound to happen now that Roaring Moon is gone but it had its time in the sun I guess.
As for uu...Serperior falling to ru is insane. I can understand Ogerpon and Blissey but why Serperior? Nothing changed to make it worse. I still has all of its insane tools like contrary leaf storm, glare, and even some insane options like taunt and leech seed. I don't really know what the ladder players are smoking but Serperior is definitely good (also this thing is definitely getting banned from ru). As for the rises MY BOI MANAPHY IS RISING THE RANKS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Fezandipiti (say that 10 times fast) and Slither Wing also come out of left field but I guess it makes sense as Fezanwhatchamacallit has toxic chain and Slither Wing is...really strong.
As for the other tiers some funny ones I saw were Politoed and Barraskewda moving down to nu (drizzle is getting banned lmao) and Porygon 2 skipping 2 tiers and going straight to NFE which is hilarious for multiple reasons.
Anyway, hopefully with Deoxys Speed gone Mew can FINALLY reclaim its rightful spot in uu as it rising at the same time that Deoxys fell was a tragedy waiting to happen, but we will have to see. For now, those were my thoughts on the shifts.
Serp kinda fell off in uu for the same reasons as it did in ou. It needs tera blast to even threaten a sweep and often it just doesn't have the right type to break through the many checks to it. Heatran dropping and skeledirge becoming a top tier only made this worse. It's still a good option but it dropping makes sense.
When i started my Smogon account back some years ago, i always saw these posts of "that tier stole our best mons" acting as most of these usage statistics were from most experience were from skilled players instead of the typical 1000-1200 elo players who tend to run the wildest teams ever imaginable, maybe back in the older gens it was better or worse, but the problem is still there. (also i like to think these tier players do this thing for joke reasons and don´t actually hate that tier)
tier shifts use the usage stats above a rating of 1630 (1695 in ou) so I don't really think that this bad player argument holds a lot of water. ladder does like spamming certain structures (and sometimes specific teams) over others though so occasionally you see some random shitter get a bunch of usage (some more extreme examples that come to mind are brute bonnet in ou from that one vert sun team and indeedee+armarouge in uu from one random person religiously laddering with their psyspam team)

This is literally what happened with Braviary rising to NU though. It's not ranked on the VR, there is no reason to use it, Uberfiend just spammed his Braviary team so much that it rose.

Isn't that what happened with the steelix UU rise all the way back in gen 8?
I’d like you to look at the top 500 in PU and see the elo there. This is not applicable for all tiers and gets less applicable the lower down the tiers you go (see hitmontop last gen, forre and braviary this gen)
I'd say its lesser usage has to do with Heatran getting a bit better. Fire-types are kinda tough to swap into rn, so Heatran's access to Fire-stab + immunity to Fire moves like Wisp are both pretty nice compared to Tinkaton's weaknesses to the move. Options like Lava Plume, Wisp, and Taunt also help it cripple the Ground-types, which imo Tinkaton can struggle with heavily, even if it isn't as immediately threatened due Balloon. Lastly, I feel that Heatran might actually be the best Rocker in the format, as it can actually afford to run the move unlike other Pokemon who would rather run other moves (Tusk want's Knock, Gliscor wants Spikes, Garg wants to run Curse or Salt Cure, etc.) and none of the hazard control moves switch into it or handle it well (Hatterene is walled, Cinderace needs Low Kick otherwise its walled, GWeezing can't make progress + is completely shut down by Heatran, Tusk and Treads can't switch in, Corv is owned by Fire-STAB). Tinkaton is also a good Rocker, but it does struggle with the hazard control moves like Treads, Great Tusk, and Cinderace more than Heatran.
I know Heatran and Tinkaton aren't exactly 1-1 comparable, but I feel you use both to generally handle the same mons (Darkrai, Deo-S, Clef, Hatterene kinda, etc.). I think Heatran's better MUs into a few key mons like Pult, Dengo, Pecharunt, Gweezing, and a few others are more relevant rn + it has better offensive pressure compared to Tink with Lava Plume / Magma Storm. That isn't to say Tinkaton is useless, since it has some notable good MUs over Heatran (namely Raging Bolt and Kyurem) + its utility moves are also strong & pickpocketing boots will never not be useful, but I think Heatran's general traits are more useful currently. I'm not shocked that Heatran has more usage than Tink currently and think it might come back to OU soon if the tides continue to align in its favor.

Weavile potentially dropping to UU is really funny, especially after tink did so. OU ladder keeps up the trend of “oh the mon is pretty good? But we want to use dondozo and ceruledge >:c”
Chansey not qd’ing to NU is also funny especially since its basically unviable in RU.
NU getting potentially its 2 viable webs setters back could be interesting, maybe theyll finally let the electric spider into PU.

When it comes to rises to NU, hound is basically gone which is fine, its not an amazing mon but its interesting how it nearly got 9% usage in NU when its not even that good in the tier. Whats even more shocking is hound at 14% in PU tho. NU istfg if you take fucking sandslash-a and not give us any removal i will personally ban your entire tier off smogon
