Week 6​

  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

SV Bo7: Nuxl vs Kala chasmah - Kala has been having the tour of his life and I've predicted against him too much.
SV Bo5: fake tom numbers vs Blanched - It's Blanched... This guy should be winning more games...
SV Bo5: Marshmelto vs Mentality - I really like Mentality being slotted finally after winning TLT. He can win this one in builder.
SS Bo7: luser vs Nunnbetter - Barras SS seems really strong and Nunnbetter is undefeated.
SS Bo5: feen vs Rei - Once again ranking this slot as winning for Barras for the strength of their overall SS + Rei is playing well.
SM: Notater vs Anonymous1634 - Notater had a nice win last week and is 2-0 so far.
ORAS: torterraxx vs Irene - This should theoretically just be a knowledge diff matchup...
BW: Palestine vs Fragments - Steen did lose to Trace last week but Trace has been playing at a pretty high level. This could be an easier mu.

SV Bo7: bea vs Miyoko - Gonna be a bit of a rough one to predict but I think bea has more experience.
SV Bo5: Fancy1 vs Urfgurgle - I will not predict against Urfgurgle.
SV Bo5: Akeras vs recti - Akeras gets pretty good matchups a lot of the time, and can probably tilt recti a bit.
SS Bo7: glitched vs Here Comes Team Charm! - Last week's series has told me that god does not favour glitched.
SS Bo5: SuperMemeBroz vs Waylaid - Why is deddd not slotted... Also, it's Waylaid, he should take this one pretty easily.
SM: The God of 1v1 ❄ vs Elo Bandit - Bandit should take this if he doesn't keep being unlucky.
ORAS: Kaif vs Roginald - Kaif's on a bit of a losing streak right now. He does tend to be a bit of a streaky player at times, so I'm taking the upset.
BW: LittEleven vs dreepy - dreepy did finally end up winning a game but Litt is just really good right now.

SS Bo5: Nick vs estra - estra did just beat Waylaid but I still do trust Nick more in SS5.
SM: Felucia vs RADU - This might seem like an upset but I think Felucia found something within herself for last week's series.
ORAS: A Hero's Destiny vs SEROO - AHD has been playing very well, but who knows with seroo we might get a solar beam blaziken...
BW: Iron Crusher vs LpZ - I still rank Iron Crusher as a top 3 BW player at worst, so yeah.

Delemon and Lumii bellchime can brainstorm all they want, but can they REALLY prep vs Archaludon in their teen years???? Probably yea.

SV Bo7: Indi01 vs bellchime I genuinely think Heatrans has the worst SV in the entire tour, and the only reason goat indi has been winning is because of running wack teams, which last week we cteamed pretty easily while still using nfes + luser barely knows sv. Lumi has also had a somewhat fraudulent tour but delemon and friends seem to be really focused on SV support, so even though Lumi is burnt out for the fifth time they have a good chance of getting good matchups. 40-60
SV Bo5: Slip vs Mcthelegit More motivation + has good team support, 35-65
SV Bo5: prunyy vs UwU1v1 read above 40-60
SS Bo7: gorilaa vs lolebruh Tough to say, although I assume lolebruh is much more motivated to win 45-55

SM: Jamez vs Kry No store wifi boost = Loss for Jamez, if he does go to home depot again he will definitely win tho 30-70
ORAS: NTG Cuz IDK vs Mubs ntg has been getting some nice wins but expecting mubs to be motivated after last week's win (also he gotta get more wins on the board :sob:) 40-60

Thoughts:
Heatrans have had the strangest draft ever (drafting four retired players (jamez itchy lrxc lecehelou) plus like sword and other guys??? did they even have a drafting plan lol) and idt theyre making poffs. Their SV teambuilding has been very very. And honestly I have no clue whats going on with their other slots lol

Pults have a good shot at making poffs because their next week opponents are rhyperiors, which are basically out already. Pults draft seemed decent on paper by focusing on SV and BW support while letting SM and ORAS build for themselves, which has somewhat been working out with like, four 4-1 players and still being 4th seed LOL? And I'm not so sure if supporting SV so much is very sustainable for the mental, because I've been hearing that a few of them are super burnt out, so we'll see if they keep their previous momentum and make poffs.

SV Bo7: bea vs Miyoko idt miyoko is as motivated or on the same level as bea tbh. I have been very disappointed with Pancham's SV so far though, so an upset is possible 70-30
SV Bo5: Fancy1 vs Urfgurgle If urf actually went sv7 rhyp had a way better shot at making poffs, he randomly cooked hard last week with some of his teams and I'm interested to see more. Also fancy has lost his sauce somewhere (pov hyperspace fury) 35-65
SV Bo5: Akeras vs recti For no reason arvin was pissed when I won last week lol, and moving to every slot ever has not been working out. Akeras doesn't really inspire confidence either but akeras is way more motivated and this would be the funniest outcome 60-40
SS Bo7: glitched vs Here Comes Team Charm! Glitched get some wins yo 25-75
SS Bo5: SuperMemeBroz vs Waylaid Waylaid doesn't care at all because his team is already out+semi retired, so smbz can definitely cook here and get a good win 60-40
SM: The God of 1v1 ❄ vs Elo Bandit idt elo cares that much anymore either but hes just so much better overall 30-70 also tgo1v1 went for 8.5k?
ORAS: Kaif vs Roginald More motivated after losing last week 65-35
BW: LittEleven vs dreepy Same as above, also crazy how the dreepy doubters were proven right this tour #rip 70-30

Thoughts:
Panchams gotta lock in these next 2 weeks, especially bea and glitched not getting the wins they really need. Some people thought they were top 3 after the draft, but most of their slots are above average and tying heatrans week 4 was very disappointing. Also very sus sv2/3 and no sm hasn't been working out. Thankfully they are going to face easier teams these next 2 weeks, so they have a good chance of making poffs.

Rhyperiors are basically guaranteed out which is a surprise to no one, draft was very underwhelming (11k recti, dreepy retain) and very strange slotting decisions over the weeks have made it more clear that the split up with Lumi+friends have not worked out. Not much else to say.

Thoughts:
Horrors truly are a team of all time (only positivity here!)

Thwackeys draft always seemed fineish? I remember lots of people putting them high but diplegend and zo have not been getting any wins lol while everyone else is semi-positive/negative. I think they definitely deserve at least poffs, but seems like larping in teamcord has not been working out this year. If they win the next two weeks they have a ok shot at making poffs? But they will have to lock in for the last week vs rays (no free wins for u bozos)
