Team Members
:Slither-Wing: – The Prehistoric War‑Beast

Slither Wing @ Choice Band
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz

At the center of this squad stands Slither  Wing, the Paradox form of mighty Volcarona. Drenched in sunlight, its raw muscle can slug it out with Koraidon itself. No smoke‑and‑mirrors here: just brute force, intense pressure, relentless offense. Packing a colossal Attack stat, a sly Bug/Fighting typing, and impressive tools consisting of First Impression, Close Combat, and Flare Blitz, Slither Wing hits the field as a juggernaut that demands respect from turn one. Tera Fire patches up Fire/Fairy weaknesses and supercharges Flare Blitz into a one‑way ticket to the afterlife.

Calc:

252+ Atk Choice Band Protosynthesis Slither Wing Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable in Sun: 379-447 (96.1 - 113.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Protosynthesis Slither Wing First Impression vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Iron Crown: 324-382 (100.9 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Protosynthesis Slither Wing Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Dondozo: 282-333 (55.9 - 66%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:Ninetales: – The Sunbringer

Ninetales @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Encore
- Healing Wish
- Will-O-Wisp

The next member is none other than Ninetales, the team’s literal light switch. With its essential Drought ability, Ninetales doesn’t just support the squad—it enables it. Every turn of sunlight fuels Slither  Wing’s fury, supercharges the offense, and bullies rival weather out of existence. Whether pivoting, locking foes with Encore, or burning itself for momentum via Healing  Wish, Ninetales is the tactical backbone that turns prehistoric rage into a scorched‑earth campaign. Tera  Flying grants a clutch Ground immunity when the battlefield shakes.

:Raging-Bolt: – The Living Thunderstorm

Raging Bolt @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderclap
- Volt Switch

Choice Specs Raging  Bolt storms in next. This ancient monster isn’t here to chip, it’s here to detonate. Under the blazing sun, Thunderclap and Draco  Meteor become near‑uncheckable forces that erase threats on sight. Weather Ball transforms into a 100‑BP Fire‑type nuke, frying Steel, Fairy, and Ground switch‑ins without even breaking a sweat. Tera Fairy flips the matchup script by blanking Dragon revenge kills and giving Bolt a surprise safety net.

Calc: 252+ SpA Choice Specs Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Weather Ball (100 BP Fire) vs. 244 HP / 228+ SpD Gliscor in Sun: 322-379 (91.4 - 107.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Thunderclap vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kingambit: 292-345 (85.6 - 101.1%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Draco Meteor vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Clodsire: 340-402 (73.4 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:Dragapult: – The Phantom Scalpel

Dragapult @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Darts
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast

Speed was the lone soft spot—until Dragapult arrived. Blisteringly fast and ruthlessly versatile, Dragapult doubles as a mixed attacker and a spinblocker, denying hazard removal while sniping frail sweepers. The secret weapon? Tera  Dragon. Boosted Dragon  Darts and Draco  Meteor carve through defensive cores and punch gaping holes in stall, ensuring the momentum never dies.

Calc:

252 SpA Life Orb Dragapult Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 152+ SpD Iron Treads in Sun: 393-463 (102.3 - 120.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

4 Atk Life Orb Tera Dragon Dragapult Dragon Darts (2 hits) vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 436-514 (66.8 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Tera Dragon Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Pecharunt: 315-374 (82.8 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Tera Dragon Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Zamazenta: 273-322 (70.3 - 82.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

:Great -Tusk: – The Sun‑Staple Enforcer

Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 216 HP / 252 Atk / 40 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Headlong Rush
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off

Holding the line is Great Tusk, the ever‑reliable sun enforcer. With Rapid  Spin and Stealth Rock, Tusk anchors the team’s hazard game while still landing haymakers. An Adamant nature maximizes carnage, and just enough Speed EVs let it creep fast Kingambit—questionable on paper, clutch in practice. Tera Steel shores up weaknesses to Kyurem, Iron Valiant, and other annoying threats, letting Tusk tank critical hits and keep the pressure on.

:Fezandipiti: – The Skillful Technician

Fezandipiti (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Atk / 44 SpD / 64 Spe
Careful Nature
- Play Rough
- U-turn
- Roost
- Beat Up

For the trickier matchups— Choice Specs Iron Valiant, Darkrai, Raging  Bolt mirrors, rogue Dragapult sets, and the dreaded Toxic Spikes—Fezandipiti steps in as the final piece. Its rare Fairy/Poison typing makes it a sturdy special wall and a natural hazard sponge. But defense isn’t its only game: Toxic Chain plus Beat Up turns Fez into a quiet assassin, spreading poison and melting bulky or overconfident setup sweepers. It even lures and cripples cocky Weak Armor Ceruledge that think they’ve scored a free boost. I don’t know how to optimize this dude’s EV so I chose the sample one on Smogon page.

Hard matchup:
- Choice Scarf Landorus
- Fast / Strong Wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Iron Crown, Band Dragapult….

Thanks everyone for checking out my team — I had a blast building around Slither Wing and unleashing ancient power under the sun.
If you’ve got any thoughts, matchup ideas, or ways to patch up weak spots, let me know how I can push this squad even further. Always open to new tech, new lines, and sharper execution.

Banded slither so goated, first impression in sun hits resists harder than boots Lokix’s and outside of tera flying Heatran it can 2HKO anything. Bout time it got a bit more respect as a tactical nuke and not just a defensive piece

Amazing team! Especially since it's a sun team without Walking Wake, which is normally considered mandatory on the playstyle due to its basically-perfect stats and water coverage being so rare yet valuable for the playstyle. With that said...has the fact that this team has no psychic resistance whatsoever while having 3 psychic-weak mons ever been a serious concern? It does seem like tera dark fezandipiti can help patch that up nicely -especially with its high special bulk letting it stand up to random focus blasts/dazzling geams too, but should it go down -or you end up needing to tera something else for whatever reason- it seems to become lights out in terms of taking a psychic move. Especially if they're backed up by psychic terrain, making Slither Wing's first impression ineffective (and this Great Tusk doesn't even have ice spinner to try and help with that...it does have tera steel for an additional emergency psychic resistance, but its poor special bulk makes it much less sturdy at it than Fezandipiti itself).
