Tournament NUPL XIII - Finals [WON BY TAUNTING TALONFLAMES]

I agree with Django predicts here so I won’t repaste, but I also think there’s a few worlds where OBB wins. This last week came down in many sense to just playing too safe for 100 turns, but he had matchup and I can see that happening again quite easily. That game will be close despite the edge being with Stareal right now. I see it more 55/45 based on teams and play from this tour.
Some general tb thoughts: DPP felt like the stronger pick for the Ducks, but I can’t fault bad faith Bernardo for going with the player with the best record in the tour because obviously doing that in tb is ok and Stareal has looked amazing + is just a great player. That being said, unsure on loocas in SV tb here in his first tour. I’m a big Loocas lover, but that feels like a Bernardo throw to tunnel in on the guys with a good record for tb instead of people who’ve proven themselves capable of handling the pressure. Only time will tell, but #FreeDoug….

bolding against loocas feels a little silly, he has more aura and ho3n played assy terrain in the main series….
we’ve seen more of mind in SM this tour, but I think it comes down to overall tour experience, and mind has the advantage here. shengin is very good and as a mainer does have the builder on his side, but I’m inclined to believe he’s going to get nervous and do something silly
OBB had the game vs stareal wrapped up in the OG series, but played a bit passively and let stareal claw back. I don’t think he lets it happen again, plus he’s a PLOOM who has been to finals before and won so like….
to piggyback off of slice, I think considering loocas is on a hot streak, the pick makes sense. I PROBABLY would’ve picked DPP since tyler is the second best current dpper on the site (behind drud) and just seems like a very strong advantage for the ducks, but you shouldn’t snuff the momentum torch with loocas either
