I was laying down while holding my phone and I dropped it. When I did it landed on my chest. When I picked it back up it registered a click on the “start thread” button. I’m taking it as a sign from above to start a thread. Trouble is, I don’t have an idea for a thread. I wonder what’ll happen if I drop my phone again, this time on purpose?

Okay it was just a box that popped up that said “Undo Typing?” Maybe the sign from above was like “damn this thread actually sucks let’s get this guy to stop before he posts something dumb.” Or maybe it’s a different sign, one that says I shouldn’t try to recreate the serendipity from the first drop, and just post through the pain. Actually that could be a good posting lesson/takeaway from this experience. Hmm

Anyway, I’m starting to get poster’s block. Whether this thread was meant to be or a happy accident, I’m glad we shared this moment together. Thank you

Undo the societal presence of typing. Take us back to 100 years ago, when man lived in caves
not only have nomadic cavemen been relatively rare since effectively the dawn of society in east asia, the typewriter is an invention dating back to the early 1800s, with the universally recognized first typewriter dubbed the "typographer" being created in 1829, and the first commercially successful typewriter being created in 1868 and mass-produced in 1873. Note that all of these events are significantly further back in history than 100 years ago, which would land you cleanly in 1925, which also happens to be roughly 15 years after typewriter manufacturers such as Remington, IBM, Seiko (who primarily made watches), and several companies following the naming convention of [Major City/Adjective] Typewriter Company.
