Welcome to BDPL Season X! After a successful Season IX on Smogon, we have returned for the 10th iteration of the biggest tournament hosted annually by the Bangla community. We have decided to move entirely to Smogon not just to elevate the overall quality of the tournament, but this year, the winners of the tournament will be awarded a Custom Avatar prize!

The tournament will consist of two phases. The regular season will start on the 4th of August and last 7 weeks with an 8 team-round-robin phase. Managers must submit rosters prior to the deadline. Otherwise previous week's lineup will be automatically published and changes will count as substitutes.
2 points are awarded to the team with most matches won for winning the week. 1 point is awarded in case of a tie. Losing awards 0 points.
Based on the points, 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs in a single elimination format. In case teams are tied in points, the win differential of each week will be taken into account. A bo3 ( 1 SV OU, 2 Captain's choice) tiebreak will be played if the former results in a tie as well.
Seeding for playoffs will be determined by points as well. Head-to-head results will be considered if there is a tie.

Each team will consist of 16 players with 8 players being of Bangladeshi origin/native Bangla speakers/BDPL S1-8 participants. The rest will be open to the public.
Similarly, out of the 12 starters, 6 players must be of Bangladeshi origin/native Bangla speakers/previous BDPL S1-8 participants.
Note that this structure maybe subject to change depending on the proportion of signups.

Co-managers will be required to Self Buy at the start of the auction to be part of playing roster: one manager for 15k and two for 35k.
Starters can be substituted by any teammate regardless of origin. However, each substitution will be monitored and can be denied by hosts if deemed in bad faith.
