Big Viva la Fantasia! A Multifaction Recruitment Mafia Game (Signups)

(Approved by Celever)

Hello everyone! Welcome to Viva la Fantasia Mafia, a multifaction recruitment game based on the Final Fantasy series. This is my first game hosted on Smogon, so I hope it is an enjoyable one. I am aided in my endeavor by Tommy who helped with the setup and is serving as co-host. Be sure to follow general forum rules as well as the Circus rules, of course, and here are the game specific rules:

1. This game is a classic OC “Viva” setup. Most players will begin the game as Freelancers with the win condition “You win if you survive the game.” There are five factions that can recruit from the Freelancer pool. Each of the five recruiting factions must eliminate their two mutual enemy factions in order to win. There are no Neutral roles in this game.
The recruiting factions are as follows:
+The Road Warriors, enemies of the Storm Squadron and the Hope Bearers
+The Exalted Powers, enemies of the Hope Bearers and the Trance Alliance
+The Storm Squadron, enemies of the Trance Alliance and the Road Warriors
+The Hope Bearers, enemies of the Road Warriors and the Exalted Powers
+The Trance Alliance, enemies of the Exalted Powers and the Storm Squadron
2. Every role in this game has a Job, and will be invited to a server corresponding to it. From Cycle 0 through Cycle 2, players may ONLY privately message people that are in their Job server, unless they are part of a faction. Be aware that no server will start completely full of Freelancers, so be careful who to trust. (If you played Sam’s MRM2, it’s like that. However, unlike the Primary servers in MRM2, not everyone in a Job server will share an action- they just use the same kinds of effects in different ways.)
The Jobs are as follows:
+Aggressors: Focus on outputting additional damage to secure kills.
+Defenders: Focus on protecting their teammates from any harm.
+Saboteurs: Focus on disrupting enemy plans and controlling actions.
+Supports: Focus on acquiring information and augmenting abilities.
+All-Arounders: Possess many different traits rather than having a more specialized role.
+Leaders: The five leaders of the recruiting factions may be hidden in the different servers.
3. This game features aliases for targeting with abilities and noise. There are no blank/noise aliases- each one of them will correspond to a player. There are also no mechanics that involve alias swapping. Any inspects on an alias will omit the player’s username. All aliases were assigned to roles randomly.
4. This game uses Cycles rather than Days or Nights- actions and voting happen at the same time. The game begins on Cycle 0, and no damaging actions or votes can be submitted on that phase. Typically, each Cycle will be 48 hours long.
5. Whoever receives the most votes is eliminated at the end of the phase. Vote using "##Vote: ALIAS". Due to using Cycles, there is no "hammer" for the vote (this may change at my discretion if a lategame scenario occurs in which all actions are submitted early). A player dying from votes will occur AFTER any actions are performed that Cycle.
6. This game uses HP. Every role has 3 HP, and abilities may deal varying damage. The vote ignores HP entirely (although there may be abilities that can prevent dying to it).
7. Beware, information roles are not guaranteed to be accurate.
8. On priority: Recruiting always happens first in a phase. Ties in recruitment will first be predetermined with each faction having priority over the two factions after them in the opening list, and losing to the two factions preceding them (looping around after the Trance Alliance to the Road Warriors where applicable). However, a faction with a lower number of recruited players, combining dead and alive, will receive a boost over factions with a higher number of recruited players. As for roles, they will generally resolve in the order Recruiting > Disruptive > Protective > Information > Damage > Miscellaneous (and then as mentioned, the Vote occurs last). All abilities use a set order and priority will NEVER be altered during the game. The full priority list is not public, although some abilities may clarify when they are resolved if they fall outside of the general guidelines. Please be aware that the first few phases will have a grace period for resolving because this game is intended to be fairly large and my work schedule often has me up pretty early in the morning.
9. Do not copy and paste host communications, including your role PM! If you have questions on what’s okay to share, feel free to ask. Summaries are okay, direct copying is not. This rule doesn’t apply to anyone within the same faction.

Here is the game's main Discord server: https://discord.gg/jFZ9FbgeKM

I think that’s everything! This game is ideally designed for 40 players, and requires a multiple of 5 signups. That's a little smaller than other recent Bigs, but still with plenty of slots, so tell all your friends that may be interested!
