I played again after not touching Pokemon for over a year and did 20 battles with the same team hitting top 500:Hello everyone! This is my first post here. In Gen 9 I tried many types but found Bug to be my most played and I'd like to provide a team that has been working for me. Without further ado, I present:
Balanced Bug

Kleavor = Rocks Setter, Scarf Revenge Killer, Offensive Pivot, General Lead
Lokix = Immediate Physical Power, Revenge Killer (especially on mons faster than Kleavor), Knock Off Utility, Offensive Pivot
Yanmega = Special Setup Sweeper, Anti-Heal Utility
Forretress = Physical Wall, Spikes Setter, Hazard Control, Defensive Pivot, General Lead #2
Araquanid = Special Wall, Sticky Web Setter, Trapper, Surprise Coat Killer
Volcarona = LOL Broken, Special Setup Sweeper #2, Burn Utility
Forretress + Araquanid form your defensive core with Kleavor/Lokix/Forretress forming a VoltTurn core for pivoting. There are two special attackers each with coverage moves because I found Volcarona alone not being enough against some special walls. Yanmega's Throat Spray is activated with either Bug Buzz or Psychic Noise, and I'm a huge fan of Protect to gain information, waste weather turns, as well as guarantee +1 Speed at the very least.

Standard mon with standard set. You can run Life orb going mixed with Close combat but Specs is generally better. Provides a dragon resist, sableye answer and a great special attacker.
View attachment 708968
Other standard mon, is the standard physical wall set for spin, put rocks and take physical hits.
View attachment 708969
Standard AV without the standard evs that usually carries. You can put more speed but you loss bulk and power if doing that. Checks special attackers, provides a physic neutrality and hits hard. Very useful in the poison MU.
View attachment 708970
Specs Keldeo. Hydropump, Focus Blast, Aura sphere and maybe Air slash are viable options to considere. A second special attacker.
View attachment 708971
Standard scarf set for revenge things, no more to say. Other options are rock slide for Volcarona or Night slash over switcheroo.

In Zamazenta place now is Cobalion. The steel typing is pretty valuable for a monofighting type take with neutrality the 3 fighting weakness.
Heavy slam better STAB for fairies. Evs for outpace Garchomp, but can change.

Iron valiant is runing specs so timid nature is the best because no need physical attack and is important to have max speed in this mon for obvious reasons. If you prefer a mixed set with close combat and life orb, then run naive nature.I tried this team its a very nice creative team but man i cant win against water stall and why is iron valient timid lol
to deal withstall i added leafblade instead of night slash
it work I use team nd it goodhttps://pokepast.es/f00024013705e8d5
I wanted one of those shiny top 100 medals, but I don't have the patience to learn a meta or teambuild period. So I threw 6 choice items on 6 rain mons, & I tell you what, I got what I wanted with the dumbest team ever
everyone pulls their weight pretty well.
Peliper is here to set rain & press weather ball/pivot
Politoed is here as secondary rain setter, press weather ball & is used to trade with a team's dedicated thunderbolter
Baraskewda is outspeeds scarfers & is the dedicated flip turner to scare out spdef walls
Basculegion is there to trade & plow through water resists & walls that give the rest of the team trouble with banded rain adaptability wave crash, like amoongus or primarina/azumarill. he is probably the most replaceable on the team but I haven't found anything better so far, maybe wogerpon idk.
Kingdra presses weatherball & hurricane for grass teams.
Urshifu is there for secondary speed control & to bypass sturdy/focus sash.
the key mindset of playing this team is to ignore the type chart for the most part & just press water move till everything is dead.
Most type matchups are heavily in your favor, even grass. most teams depend on one mon to act as a form of counter play to prevent the rain going brrrr(a scarfer w/ Tbolt, focus sash set up sweepers, & very few walls). Get that out of the way & the rest of the team gets demolished by water spam. Dragon teams give me the most trouble with Hisui goodra, big neck & stapler. you will never beat big neck.View attachment 758303
Stop revealing the secretsWith banded meow getting very similar usage in tour to scarf meow in tour, it’s weird that there aren’t any sample teams featuring the set. Also very strange that AV Hoopa also has no representation. So here’s two teams with them both for sample submission.
Band Meow + Scarf Gren + SD Samu
https://pokepast.es/798a64019ac78334
Banded Meow with AV Hoopa form an incredible offensive core. We run t punch here to wall break through water and flying almost on its own since here we’re running greninja as our scarfer of choice. Hazards spam to make our offensive threats harder to deal with. Secondary wall breaker in samurott with an adamant nature can make quick work of opposing dark/dragon and flying cores. The hp and def investment ensure that you take a jolly sacred sword from Samu-H at full hp 100% of the time
Band Meow + Specs Gren + Scarf Darkrai
https://pokepast.es/3cc2353bfa5a676b
Band Meow + Specs Gren form an unwallable offensive core. The rest of the team is there to support this. With a scarfer necessary for revenge killing Pokemon like Sneasler and Urshifu, Darkrai is the best option. Darkrai also outspeeds Meow and Greninja as a choice scarf user. Trick is there to shutdown walls that can annoy your offensive core such as Articuno/Corviknight/Skarmory/Archaludon/Goodra. Hazards spam ting-Lu to facilitate your offensive core even more and defog on Mandibuzz because the team is a little weak to opposing hazard stack, and it’s really nice to have in the mid to late game after you’ve gotten value out of your own hazards. AV Hoopa is just a really nice sponge and is able to break down a lot of defensive cores
