Project SS National Dex OU Teambuilding Competition

so, since I ever started pokemon I loved all of them but nothing made me happier than beating my opponent with my lv 1 pokemon lol. My team will be utilizing the lv 1 Pokemons endeavor attack to lower there hp to 1-3, I will have toxic spikes set by pineco to poison them and a salandit pokemon to wil-o-wisp the steel and poison pokemon that are immune to toxic and toxic spikes. This team is not a joke it has actually worked really well for me and this team carried my rating really high. this is my team :D :Aron::cottonee: :pineco::Magnemite: :togedemaru: :salandit:

just a heads up buddy, I would use a pokepaste link (pokepast.es) and then submit that so that way we can see your items, moves, ev's, etc. Also, this is a teambuilding competition focused around a specific pokemon per week, this week is Weavile. Builds that do not use Weavile will not be counted. Best of luck!

ok sorry

by default RunicPower413 wins this slate....(ig mans rly dont like weav)

hopefully smth a bit more interesting now:

Mega Gallade

:sm/gallade-mega:

With a monstrous 165 attack and strong stab combination, Mega Gallade can break through many defensive teams when coupled with Swords Dance. It also boasts a colourful array of coverage, allowing it to break through Pokemon that could otherwise completely wall it. However, due to its relatively average defences, it can often find itself vulnerable to revenge killing attempts. How will you build around this underexplored mega?

Submissions close Tuesday 25th June. Have fun!

WE HAVE A SUB!!!!! (Zeo1 wins this slate by default)

Despite the like almost complete inactivity of this thread imma keep it going in case people want to submit, but we wont be operating on a fixed schedule anymore until more activity is reached

Anyhow onto the next cycle:

Mega Latios

:sm/latios-mega:

Another often overlooked Psychic-type mega, Mega Latios very much lives in the shadow of its twin, Mega Latias. However, Mega Latios does have interesting traits as a breaker with its high special attack and good movepool. Its access to recovery can let it break more reliably across a game, although Luster Purge being pre-buff can limit it slightly. How will you build around this underappreciated mega?

Submissons will close when we get at least 1 sub or Sunday 20th July, whichever comes latest!

With the only vote, Zeo1 wins this slate!

Onto the next cycle:

Nidoking

:sm/nidoking:

Boasting great coverage and access to Sheer Force, Nidoking can function as a dangerous wall breaker when given opportunities, being able to muscle through many common defensive cores with ease. However, its poor defensive typing and low speed stat hold it back considerably, unfortunately relegating it to the ranks of more of a niche pick. There is definitely still room to work with its positive traits however, and it can be a great addition to the right team. How will you build around this niche but powerful breaker?

Submissons will close when we get at least 1 sub or Wednesday 30th July, whichever comes latest!

Team offers some pretty insane wallbreaking capabilities with Nidoking + hazard stacking. Because of the nature of how teams like this are, you get to double into Nidoking a lot when your opponent is expecting a different play from you. Zapdos is also good for getting it in with Volt Switch. I like Keldeo here because its a weavile check, ash gren check, and just an overall decent water resist when you dont wanna go ferro. Scarf can also be a nice late game wincon. Mega Altaria is here to come in and win after some troublesome walls are gone. Hope you all enjoy!

nido-lop bo

Tried and true combo of nido-lop covers both the balance and offense mus broadly while lop additionally brings in nidoking with u-turn on fairies, pex and corv. Heatrans defensive profile is mandatory to stave off scarf lele, some protgren and nearly everything while getting up rocks. We love nature power in this house to remove gastrodon, slowbro and rotom. Speaking of rotom, he is an offensive fogger who helps out in the rain mu. Enough bulk to eat +2 xard dragon claw at worst and blows it up with invested z-hydro a good amount of the time, investment allows you to really put the hurt with volts and break +1 suicune subs. Weavile helps play around kyurem, choice lele and the latis while being a potent offensive threat. Second priority helps quite a bit. Bulu provides healing for everyone but rotom and checks chomp, ash gren and koko. Enough spdf to take 3 specs gren hydros in rain after rocks, rest dumped into defense.
