Grass
========

Abomasnow is unique on Grass teams for its ability to utilize Aurora Veil effectively thanks to its access to Snow Warning. Despite this, its slow Speed and poor defensive typing make using Abomasnow very difficult for most standard Grass teams. As a support Pokemon, it is generally outclassed by Amoonguss due to its superior typing and access to Spore, which allows it to create better openings for its teammates.

[SET COMMENTS]

Abomasnow fulfills a unique niche on Grass teams as the best dual screens setter that the type has access to. With Aurora Veil and its ability Snow Warning, it can significantly decrease the amount of damage common setup sweepers on Grass teams take, such as Sinistcha and the Ogerpon formes. Blizzard's perfect accuracy in snow and high Base Power threatens Flying- and Grass-types like Mandibuzz, Amoonguss, and Sinistcha. Avalanche is also a viable option due to its boosted Base Power being very easy for Abomasnow to activate, which makes it a great option against Pokemon like Dragonite who have lower Physical Defense than Special Defense. Ice Shard's priority hits fast, Ice-weak Pokemon like Landorus, Garchomp, and Gliscor and picks off weakened foes. Body Press offers some form of offensive threat potential against Steel-types like Hisuian Goodra and Ice-types like Cetitan and Weavile. Leech Seed is also another good option to prevent passivity, as it allows Abomasnow to apply some chip damage and recovery that can also be transferred to its teammates. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Abomasnow to come into the field more often in the face of entry hazards. Alternatively, Light Clay's three extra turns of Aurora Veil give you more turns to make your setup sweepers tankier.

Ogerpon-H greatly benefits from Abomasnow's dual screens, as it allows it to easily set up in front of threats like Garchomp, Roaring Moon, and Power Gem Heatran. Ogerpon-C similarly benefits from Aurora Veil and Snow Warning, allowing it to set up in front of Fire-type attackers like Volcarona after a Quiver Dance and Iron Moth. Both Ogerpon formes also greatly enjoy the additional bulk in conjunction with Horn Leech healing, making them harder to revenge kill. Sinistcha enjoys the additional bulk Abomasnow grants it and, in return, it can switch into Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Urshifu-R, Keldeo, and Skarmory that threaten to KO Abomasnow. Hisuian Lilligant appreciates Abomasnow's Aurora Veil support, as after a Victory Dance, it can be harder for it to be revenge killed by Ice Shard from foes like Mamoswine and Weavile. Hydrapple loves the additional bulk granted by Aurora Veil and especially appreciates Abomasnow's ability to take Ice-type attacks for it. In return, it can switch into the Fire-type attacks that heavily threaten Abomasnow and manage to heal the damage off through Regenerator. Meowscarada likes having Aurora Veil support so that it can be harder to revenge kill through priority like Ice Shard from the previously mentioned Mamoswine and Weavile. Torterra makes great use of Aurora Veil, as after a Shell Smash, it can easily stomach a retaliatory hit and potentially get another one off before proceeding to sweep. Brambleghast makes use of the extra bulk to remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin against Pokemon like Great Tusk and Skarmory, which in return makes it easier for Abomasnow to repeatedly switch onto the field if it is holding Light Clay.

Abomasnow fulfills a unique niche on Grass as the best screens setter the type has access to. With Aurora Veil and its ability Snow Warning, it can significantly decrease the amount of damage common setup sweepers on Grass take, such as Sinistcha and Ogerpon-H Ogerpon formes. Blizzard can be used as the STAB move of choice due to its inability to miss in Snow and high base power threatening would-be Defoggers like Mandibuzz Flying- and Grass-types like Mandibuzz, Amoonguss, and Sinistcha. Avalanche is also a viable option due to its higher base power if Abomasnow is hit before the move goes through, which can be very good against Pokemon like Dragonite. Due to its investment in HP and Defense with a Relaxed nature and the Defense boost from Snow, taking a physical hit is very manageable despite its poor defensive typing (Fluff, also Dragonite might be a bit of a risk as it runs Fire Punch on Choice band sets). Ice shard can be used as a priority option to hit Ice-weak Pokemon like Landorus, Garchomp, and Gliscor before they can hit Abomasnow (Mention Ice shard being good for revenge killing weakened foes, not just quad weak targets). In order to not be passive into Steel-types like Hisuian Goodra, Body Press is used to offer some form of offensive threat potential (Also Body Press into Ice-types). Leech Seed is also another good option to prevent passivity, as it gives Abomasnow some recovery and chip damage that can also be transferred to its teammates. Abomasnow's additional Ice typing also makes it one of the few Pokemon on Grass that takes neutral damage from Ice-type attacks, which can make it a good switch-in to common users of Ice moves like Iron Treads' Ice Spinner and Meowscarada's Triple Axel. Snow Warning also has a good additional benefit of removing opposing weather, which can make dealing with certain threats like Sun-boosted Ogerpon-H and Cinderace easier for its team to deal with. (Fluff, the ice typing should be mentioned up front for what it provides a neutrality for, but not the weather.) Heavy Duty Boots allows Abomasnow to come into the field more often in the face of entry hazards like Stealth Rock and Spikes. Alternatively, Light Clay can be used to grant three extra turns to Aurora Veil, giving you more turns to make your setup sweepers tankier.

Ogerpon-H greatly benefits from Abomasnow's screens, as it allows her to setup in front of threats like Garchomp, Roaring Moon, and Power Gem Heatran easily. Ogerpon-C benefits similarly from Aurora Veil and Snow Warning allowing her to setup in front of Fire-type attackers like +1 Volcarona and Iron Moth. Both Ogerpons also greatly enjoy the additional bulk granted to them in conjunction with Horn Leech healing, making them harder to revenge kill. Sinistcha enjoys the additional bulk Abomasnow grants it and in return can switch into Fighting- or Fire-type attacks that threaten to KO Abomasnow (Most fire-types still threaten way too much damage on Sinistcha, even behind screens). Hisuian Lilligant appreciates Abomasnow's Aurora Veil support, as after a Victory Dance it can be harder for it to be revenge killed by Ice Shard users like Mamoswine and Weavile. In return it can allow Abomasnow to come in safely if it lands a Sleep Powder. Hydrapple loves the additional bulk granted by Aurora Veil, and especially appreciates Abomasnow's ability to take Ice-type attacks for it. In return it can switch into the Fire-type attacks that heavily threaten Abomasnow and manage to heal it off through Regenerator. Meowscarada likes having Aurora Veil support so that it can be harder to revenge kill through priority like Ice Shard from the previously mentioned Mamoswine and Weavile. Brambleghast makes use of the extra bulk to remove hazards with Rapid Spin against Pokemon like Torkoal Great Tusk and Clefable , which in return makes it easier for Abomasnow to switch onto the field if it is using Light Clay.

Ogerpon-H greatly benefits from Abomasnow's screens, as it allows
her it (I know Ogerpon is always female but I dont think genders are referenced in analysis, could be wrong tho) to setup in front of threats like Garchomp, Roaring Moon, and Power Gem Heatran easily. Maybe worth mentioning Torterra, bulky guy that can maybe get 2 shell smashes off with the screens buff

Namranan just FYI it is also good practice to put [GP 0/1] in the thread title, but the bot picked this up without it. Additionally, the color of this entire analysis is a light grey. This likely occurred if you manually changed the color of the whole analysis post-QC implementation. Instead, use the "Remove formatting" button (button that looks like an eraser on the top left of the toolbar).

I will check this analysis for you, but just wanted to let you know. Thanks

Thank you for the heads up Sunny! I changed the title and made sure to use the remove formatting button as what you said is indeed what happened when I was implementing the QC checks.

Sounds good! Here is your GP check. LMK if you have any other questions.
