Re: Ladder Tour Alt Names
Begining with Cycle 2, we will be enforcing the stated matching alt rule. This is to make sure that competitors are easily identifiable for hosts, fellow competitors, streamers, and spectators alike.
Your alt should be reasonably and uniquely identifiable by your forum name; we will not require an exact match, especially for longer names, but it should be clear to the hosts and competitors alike that your alt represents your forum name and does not impersonate any other users. This will generally mean avoiding initialisms as well, as they are often too non-specific.
Sign up posts with alts that do not follow the naming rules will be deleted and those alts will be ignored come the end of the round. First offenses will be allowed to sign up again with a compliant alt, repeat offenses may be barred from competing in the round or tour.
