DPP's my favorite gen and I really want to get better at both playing and understanding the meta, as I've been playing old gens OU for a while but never really got into DPP. Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I’ve played in a few solotours, getting as far as round 6 or 7 in some of them, but despite maining the tier, ive never been particularly good at sv pu. I started playing on PS in late gen 7, but i joined smogon and actual tours in late 2024. Ive had some success at beating strong players in discord tours, but again not in sv pu.

Started in 2022 playing doubles ubers, eventually going to natdex after wanting to use megas and new gen mons. Nowadays i’m a roomvoice for the national dex room and i’m mainly looking to reinforce my building skills, knowledge of the meta, and clicking. I played in every individual natdex tour since summer seasonal last year (not circuit :[) and the farthest i believe I’ve gotten is round 8 of winter seasonal this year, or if it counts i went 3-1 in majors before having to drop out. I have played competitive pokemon for a long time I started showdown since generation 6, I made it to 1500 in that tier but was never able to reach similar levels of elo in other ladders at best 1300 or very low 1400s I was only able to break that recently in gen 3 ou by reaching 1500 (technically 1499 but its basically the same thing XD) I have played in other competitive formats along with hosting some of my own formats in smaller communities. As of this post I started RU in December of 2024 and have been playing since then with nearly 500 games on record. I would say I have improved alot in my battling since my days or oras as I am capable of battling top players in the RU tier and win against them but I would like more guidance about team building itself and perhaps guidance on my fundamentals in battling!
