SV ZU: JJ09LIE vs Django (i promised i opened the replays once, but i dont remember what JJ won with, and surely the tombs have enough people to cook something good with)
SV ZU: Taka vs Feliburn (I dont expect the tomb's SV to go 4-0 this week and I predicted for tombs in the other 3)

SS ZU: avarice vs Ninja (feels like a tossup here but i bolded the guy I've teamed with)

SS ZU: Pokeslice vs OranBerryBlissey10 - Both lost last week but Slice brought a cool team with solid sets in restalk darkvally and rest rhydon with heal bell support. Also had some heat in ninetales which he should bring again as obb refuses to use thick fat miltank. obb is better ingame so could win but prob sabotages in the builder.

ORAS ZU: DugZa vs Charles A. Theist - Both lost last week after having a better mu than their opps and kinda threw ingame. Dugza played solid but made questionable lines due to a knowledge gap that cost them the game. Charles used stall and had really solid counters his for his opps stallbreakers but made some errors ingame. Charles should go full wack in the builder and knowledge check dugza if he wants to win.

SS ZU: seraphz vs pandadoux - This is a bit of a weird one. Seraphz won and played really solid last week but they also won on preview with subplot rotom so can't read too much into it. Panda on the other hand lost on preview to cofa but outplayed their opp and made it as close as they could. Going with panda here just cause they are more proven in the tier but seraphz could just as easily win, nothing against them.

ORAS ZU: RufflesPro vs Neomon - Both won and brought cool teams/sets last week. I'm really impressed with ruffles team if he built on his own, would def use it myself. Neomon spikes ho team on the other hand while cool was alot less solid and could have benefitted from a spinblocker and or defog deterrent and got lucky his opp didn't bring any. Neomon played well and didn't misplay but I think the combo of good team & play from ruffles give them the edge here

SS ZU: avarice vs Ninja - Avarice won convincingly vs obb last week allthough they used cheese so cant carry too much weight. I think they will be able to outplay ninja here though. SS ZU has many forms of ho so they should be good for a few more weeks. Ninja should bring persian-alola to give them good outs for most ho/cheese to have a chance.

ORAS ZU: Tenebricite vs Zpice - better play + team combo too strong here.

5/9 from last week's predictions. Almost the same grade I got in my last class (philosophy). I predicted myself to win so really I'm 6/10 in my eyes.

Morpeek-A-Boos vs Fiery Flamencos
SS ZU: TheFranklin vs kay - Franklin won with Scarf Manectric. Kay lost with Machoke and CB Klinklang. Franklin looked good in his game last week and used a creative team that worked. His sequences were on point and he outplayed a scary Rest Talk SD Silv-Dark. Franklin may have gotten a bit lucky with Sleep Talk rolls and slice not clicking Sleep Talk some turns. Regardless, I'm way more confident in Franklin than kay. Frankly, it'd be unfair to expect kay to not be rusty. I think kay's rust showed a bit in his play, like in the opening Tang vs Machoke sequence (ended up going Alt after Machoke lost its Evio + was weakened, when he could've went to it sooner). kay's build could've been better too. I'm not sure if CB Klinklang is the best fit on the kind of build the Flamencos cooked up.
SM ZU: btboy vs Greybaum - Greybaum and btboy played each other week 6 of SMPL. Greybaum beat btboy with a crazy para spam + double Defog (I assume) team with Z-Sand Attack Ninjask. Last week, Greybaum won using a standard-looking offense, while btboy lost using a cool hazard stack HO with Sub Seed Ghostium Gourg-S. It's difficult to predict how this game will turn out. Both players can be super creative when they want to be. I feel like Greybaum has a tendency to stick with similar structures, and clearly they work. btboy I think tends to stick with a similar style. I trust Greybaum's in-game more. This should be a good one and I can see it going either way.
ORAS ZU: Havocknight vs lighthouses - On paper this game shouldn't be close. Havoc has a lot more experience in the tier, has way better support, and is a good pilot. lighthouses looked solid last week and brought some hazards offense, which is to be expected cuz hazards are a good entry point into ORAS ZU. Havoc won a close one vs Dugza last week and had room to improve. Havoc will definitely try to be better this week, which makes me believe in him more in this matchup.

Cramlington Cramorants vs Shiiny Shiinotics
SS ZU: Pokeslice vs OranBerryBlissey10 - I didn't expect OBB to lose last week. Sun claims another victim. OBB even popped Specs Eggy week 1, so maybe it's all downhill from here in terms of entertainment. Seriously though, OBB is the top SS of the pool alongside Franklin, so I expect him to bounce back. slice's team last week was quite nice, and he could've won if some favorable Sleep Talk rolls went his way (and if he clicked it more). Highlight SS matchup.
SM ZU: Terracotta vs MZ - Highlight of the week for me. This game can really go either way. Terra has been on a tear in SM. He got his 5th straight win dating back to ZUWC I think? Terra's teams are creative and he's a really good pilot. However, he's up against sMZu. MZ won a highly entertaining and close game last week. Bouff + Dusclops is a winning combo any day of the week. That is to say, I'm a fan of anyone that brings Dusclops + Bouff (or even Dusclops outside of stall). MZ did himself well not reusing (idt he did) and it showed. Also, MZ played around Sub Curse Trev quite impressively. Off name recognition, this probably doesn't seem that close. However, I think it will be.
ORAS ZU: DugZa vs Charles A. Theist - I have to back my former TL. Charles can look to knowledge check and/or catch a favorable matchup. Last week, Charles had a misstep that ended up costing him the game (sacking Swalot). I think he's a capable pilot, but his record from ORAS Underground til now is below average. Dugza is better in-game and has a lot more experience playing tours. Dugza's team last week looked pretty solid too. I'm picking Charles out of bias + trust he can cook something up. In an even or slightly uneven matchup that favors Charles, I think Dugza takes it.

The VANGUARDS vs Mossui Town Spiritombs
SS ZU: avarice vs Ninja - When doing the PRs, I looked into both players for their SS experience. avarice went 6-1 back in ZUPL IV when SS was current gen, and Ninja went 4-2 last ZUOL. Ninja brought a pretty cool Kadabra + Cofagrigus team last week and won. The Tombs' prep looked on point. avarice won his game last week using sun, which is usually a reliable pick. My gut says Ninja because he seems more in-touch with the current meta than avarice. The VANGUARDS do have stellar SS support with Tuthur, so avarice could just pull another good or even matchup and outplay.
SM ZU: a fruitshop owner vs Oathkeeper - Even though afo lost last week, he did not disappoint. fruits brought that classic Curse Trev that seems to flip any matchup. Oathkeeper lost last week in a close one that could've gone either way. I was fortunate to hit all my moves. Oath's team last week looked pretty fun and scary, but it did have some holes like lacking good Grass-type switch-ins and special Combusken. afo simply outclasses Oath in team building and play here. In a nutshell, this is afo's playground.
ORAS ZU: Tenebricite vs Zpice - Tenebricite looked great last week. Similar to avarice in SS, the VANGUARDS plugged Tene with an ORAS classic in Twitt's Mienfoo team. Zpice brought a solid team last week, but cheated the hazards matchup by not having a remover and was punished for it. I think Zpice has a good amount of room to improve in-game. Honestly, mons is like that and everyone can improve. I'm looking forward to this game. As for why I bolded Tene, it's because he's better in-game and has much better support between sleid and fruits (and I assume outside help).
