I'm very happy about the selection of Pkm, especially Gravlord and Dialga. The former makes good use of ausma's item, which extends turns in Gravity. And it seems like an offensively potent Pkm itself. There's also sufficient synergy with Dialga when it comes to offense and defense. Besides, I love Dialga's potential role as a Trick Room setter. It never hurts to promote this playstyle in Singles. I'm very curious how it will play out. Furthermore, it's got potential as a lategame cleaner on offensively inclined teams. That said, it has a nice resistance profile to check Zapdos, the infamous Cramorant and the newly Samuraiai.

If we were allowed to vote for more Pkm, Centiskorch would have been my sixth choice or so. So, I'm also glad it's here. Magic Bounce gives it item flexibility, and in its G-Max form, it looks fairly interesting with its bulk, new Water immunity and the trapping. No idea how it fares, especially since it's so slow. But it's one of those Pkm i'd try out for sure when I have time.

I don't have any thoughts on the rest of the Pkm yet - I'm tired - , so, I leave it to others to comment if they so desire.

Why do we have TWO cedgers… I guess covert cloak helps a bit but like. Now covert cloak is the new boots and it’s a basically mandatory item. Corrosive gas would be very cool and neat if it was submitted but at a different angle. But on a different note. Why are there two cedgers. EDIT: cloak doesnt block cedge. spikes r gonna be everywhere, which makes boots infinitely more valueable now. idk if cloak can really get past that other than its knock immune to save your boots. on a third different note. why are there two ceaseless edge users

We also have zero fairies and three offensively strong dragons, and also a total of one (1) dragon neutral steel. We kinda need something for these. Zapdos and crammer found dead in ditch. I do not think either of these can deal with the three dragons, which is good because crammer was ultra busted but now we got a new issue.

Save me centiskorch and aurorus…. Save me…

Orangesodapop shut up

:samurott-hisui::grafaiai: I glazed the fuck outta this in my Sub Review so I'll be brief. It is a good offensive Mon, I reckon for the time being Choice Scarf will be it's preferred set due to so far the only consistent offensive Pokémon are all faster than it. Once more defensive options and the 80-95 Speed tier gets fleshed out it will be more diverse.

:centiskorch::centiskorch-gmax: Base Centi is cool. As people said, Magic Bounce is very solid and allows you to serve as unique form of hazard deterrent. First Impression is also underrated as fuck especially when people generally tend to forget Centiskorch gets that. As for it's G-Max...very powerful. I want to see how it actually performs in the future once slate 3 drops and preliminary play testing occurs but I figure it will be very strong.having many solid Dragon types feel good here as well because of how strong Max Moves are and how it's ability works traditionalFire type checks (bulky Waters and Grounds) may not be as good here. Then again, as long as the Ground isn't weak to Max Overgrowth I think it should be fine.

:aurorus: Aurorus feels like it is going to be a Keystone Pokémon in this metagame, not only because of how powerful it is offensively, but how many key resists it holds in the metagame right now. Electric and Water were already major offensive typings in the metagame, but now with powerful Fire, Bug and Grass moves to be expected to be thrown around I see Aurorus to take off until defensive teams are more fleshed out. Either way, get some special walls soon or those +2 Draco might wake something up.

:dialga: I am indifferent to Dialga. The Trick Room thing is 100% a gimmick but that's beside the point. It's not as bulky as I would like out of a Pokémon with this typing at all, both in raw stats and in how it's distributed. Otherwise it gets the job done and it will be a good glue Mon.

:guzzlord: Not much else to say tbh, I expect Ground resists instead of immunities will become more prominent in a Gravity focused world, and as a wallbreaker itself it is pretty good. Hits hard has good bulk and strong utility.

:gogoat: Very anti meta imo. I am unsure about it's long term success but as of right now it has a positive matchup into most of the tier and does fairly well into them. The only standout bad matchups imo are the Three Dragons, which is somewhat unfortunate because I see them all becoming the next major status quo for the meta, but otherwise, yeah it kinda just clobbers everything else thanks to its ridiculous bulk and SE STAB.

:drampa::reuniclus: I expect Drampiclus to be as dominant here as it was in early Fusion Evolution. Drampa is a pretty powerful offensive Mon that also has a lot of defensive utility, and here where AV can 1v1 the other Dragon types in the meta is gaming. Zapdos and Big Crammer immediately gain one of their best checks ever with this guy, seeing as AV will be popular and I don't think these guys can do much in regards to chipping them down. Though Crammer can probably get off a para before dying in a 1v1 so that would be annoying.

Anyway, I think the best options won, and some cool side options that are interesting adds got in too, so I am overall pleased with Slate 2. I can't wait for Slate 3, I'll be leaning alot bulkier there.

A few new announcements:

- We now have a list with every mod that has been featured in the mod so far. It can be checked out here.

- Going forwards, Submissions will be requested to include Sample Set for the Pokémon they are submitting. As we move on to having a proper playable metagame, it is important to show what you have in mind for how the Pokémon would play and how it fits into the existing pool of mons. This also helps in convincing people to consider your submissions for voting. The submission template has been updated to accomodate for this change.

With that out of the way, we may now begin Slate 3! Submissions will be open until August 23.

As a reminder: Submissions are not altered from how the Pokémon works in their home mod, and you should include every custom element in your submission, even if the Pokémon in question wouldn't use them

Description:

2) Competitive
- lategame cleaner with Nasty Plot + Sucker Punch
- hazard stack enabler thanks to a combination of Ceaseless Edge, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, and Assurance.
- checks special attackers, notably Aurorus-Paleo and the Drampa fusion. Fwiw, due to Split System, Foul Play does special damage and becomes more potent against targets with high SpA, especially if they are boosted.
- fwiw, while it's important to have Fairy Pkm in the metagame, I'd like to point out not everyone may want to include one of them on a team. Gigan, with its resistance profile, offers an alternative, making teambuilding more flexible.

Description:
1) Concept
- Praying Visitor is an extraterrestrial Celebi. In literature, fairies are sometimes connected to UFOs and time travel / time manipulation. Hence the choice of Pkm.

2) Competitive
- Rewind gives Celebi fun interaction with items. Want to punish special attackers? Use a Rowap Berry, which is like a one-time Rocky Helmet but for special attackers. Need a pseudo Regenerator? There's Sitrus Berry. What about a pivot? Look no further than Eject Button. These are just some of the many things you can pull off. Sky's the limit.
- Celebi offers a valuable Ground resistance, which is important when Gravity + Ground spam could be a thing. Moreover, it can check some of the Dragon Pkm, like Aurorus-Paleo and the Drampa fusion. Natural Cure or Heal Bell further underline Celebi's usefulness since you no longer have to fear a potential Glare or Thunder Wave from the Dragon or Cramorant. And in general, a team will appreciate Status healing.
- Fairy + coverage can turn Celebi into a potent wallbreaker or lategame cleaner.

Description:
1) Concept
- Crop Circle Artist is an extraterrestrial Leavanny, referencing the mysteries around crop circles and its love for making 'cloths'.

2) Competitive
- archetype stabilizer. Dualtype synergizes sufficiently well with 'typical' weather or terrain setters. That is to say your opponent has to guess whether you actually lead with your original weather or terrain setter or with Leavanny itself which can pressure types that threaten said team members.
- skill expression. During a match, Leavanny can inherit almost any Ability from the team with clever positioning. Already, it has good defensive and offensive synergy with Samuraiai and naturally benefits from Sharpness. It can also take advantage of Gogoat's and Gravlord's signature abilities for better set-up or to get around would-be checks like Zapdos.
- potential lead set with Stealth Rock, Pounce, Disable, and the rare Sticky Web. I mention Disable because you can stop Defog, thus ensuring hazards are kept on the field.

Description:
1) Concept
- Whether it's winter or summer, bees are able to regulate heat to make sure they can adapt to any season. Hence why this Pokémon has two new abilities associated with Fire. This is further stressed by the fact that, when a queen has to be removed (due to old age), her folk will try to crowd and overheat her. So, imagine a revengeful, overthrown queen seeking her rightful return...

2) Competitive
- defensive pivot with good resistance profile, checking or walling G-Max Centiskorch, Paradox Claydol, Gravlord, Drampa fusion, Aurorus-Paleo
- provides utility with Aromatherapy, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, U-turn, Defog, and Psycho Shift

Ice/Ghost at this speed tier is great at shredding through the meta's bulkiness so far, and Fumigation ensures it can keep an anti-defence niche long-term, but the lack of setup and rough defensive typing mean it's never threatening to clean up shop on its own.

Pretty cool bulky Steel. Healing every time you click Spikes or Parting Shot makes it a great utility mon on more offensive teams that capitalizes HARD on passivity and any switches it forces, but the lack of a traditional 50% heal move means it's not outright walling much. Shift Gear is here too it's pretty usable.

Gen 9 variant of a Melee classic. Offensive fairy with some excellent utility, especially NGas, which already annihilates both Meta Knight and Drampiclus. Can't hit Steels, but has the tools to get value on the switchin regardless.

Like I said, we are dedicating this slate to the fatter friends in life. I included a few hazard removal buddies so OSP and his army can feel some satisfaction.

Description: Blastoise sucks. Mega Blastoise is an insanely useful Pokémon to add to the tier, adds a Fairy, a rapid spinner, a bully Water and an actually strong offensive threat. The metagame got THREE Dragon types and already has a Dark type offensive guy. We also got a Poison spreader which gets annoying, and while the matchup is a bit tedious, a strong Fire resist can go a long way in these parts. So Blastoise's Mega comes in to in some way shape or form answer all of these problems. Misty Surge is extremely valuable in a metagame crawling with Dragons, and can hold status spreading in check, something loved by Pet Modders as well. Also finally adds a good consistent Mega (not sorry Doodoo bird)

Descriptions: A solid defensive pivot that can punish the likes of Samuraiai and Gogoat comfortably. It provides the tier with a consistent Rapid Spinner as well, which from what I hear is something the tier apparently needs heavily. As a bulky Steel it can also check the Dragons in a pinch, but jury is out on if that should be it's main goal. It does bully Dialga though, and Dialga is a big threat so I am great on that.

Description: Corviknight and it's G-Max form are interesting especially in the current metagame climate. Base Corviknight would probably become an instant long term metagame staple not only because of how good of a defensive pivot and wall it is but how efficient it is at clearing hazards. It can also utilize Tera, in a metagame where Tera is very rare that can be a very useful tool in its arsenal. Ofc, what I'd like to call the funny button option is G-Max Corviknight. It is more or less Corviknight for teams who can't afford how passive base Corviknight is, it actually hits decently hard for a defensiveon due to the High BP moves, and it's much harder to kill off rip. It's signature G-Max move not only works as a 140 BP Defog, whenever it clears anything away it heals 1/4 of its HP. In a metagame where everyone is stacking Spikes, HO will eventually become a staple and we already have a Terrain setter, I expect G-Max Corviknight to heal HP for a long time coming.

Description: Listen, I'm just a huge fan of this ReGeneration sub from Hematite. It brings a really cool offensive option. Also cool combo with Gogoat.

Violent Abandon (Ability)
The Pokémon transforms into Mega Gyarados when its held item is used or lost.
(note: like Battle Bond, this does not wear off when switching out, only when the battle ends or when Gyarados is knocked out!
also like Battle Bond, it should only activate once per battle, even if Gyarados is revived from fainting and loses another item)

Raging Torrent (Water) || Physical || 90 BP / 100% acc / 15 (24) PP
The user loses sight of everything around it and violently lashes out at opposing Pokémon.
This also lowers their Attack stats, but the user is compelled to keep using this move for three turns.
(makes contact; hits all adjacent foes and has a 100% chance to lower Attack, but it also inflicts Encore on the user after use)

Item: Fuel Cell
Origin: Clubmons: Requiem
Effect: When the item-holder spends a recharge turn (from moves like Hyper Beam and Giga Impact), they gain an omniboost. This item is consumable.
Description: Fuel Cell is an effective, but balanced item from Clubmons that creates a whole new avenue for offensive setup Pokemon and recharge moves to function by. This item allows the user to gain a potentially game-winning stat boost after using a strong attack to either secure positive trades or force crucial damage before getting into a sweeping position. Because Fuel Cell provides an omniboost, the reward is both massive and highly versatile for whatever Pokemon wishes to run it. From a balance perspective, you are forced into spending your turn on the omniboost which can be exploited, but if positioned well it can change how you pilot your wincons in a pretty fun way. I see some additional potential since Mega Delibird is in the format.

Description: A bulky defensive pivot with some great tools in Sucker Punch and Strength Sap. Its ability is useful to cripple Sweepers in desperate scenarios and generally force switches once it faints. Helps dealing with Samuraiai as it can't be poisoned and resists both Ceasless Edge and Cross Poison; and also comfortably deals with Drampiclus. In short, it expands our defensive options and helps keeping some Pokémon in check.

It also gets Spicy Extract + Foul Play. I personally don't think that's a worth the move slots but I'm sure some people would be willing to try that out

Description: Leafeon here compresses the roles of a bulky wallbreaker with Strength Sap + SD or Flex Off, or an anti-offense pivot with Cotton Down + U-turn, all depending on its ability choice and EV spread. Plus I'm constantly hearing that the tier could use Fighting-types, bonus points for checking Ground-types too and having a nuke in Rock Climb to pressure Flying-types like Zapdos.

Rest: 16 PP, -- Accuracy, puts the user to sleep for 2 turns but restores all HP and status (same effect as before but the PP got changed)

Special.png
: Air Slash, Hurricane, Hydro Pump, Surf, Scald. Chilling Water,
Status.png
: Chicken Dance, Roost
Nat Dex OU + Chicken Dance, Fishious Rend, Octazooka, Squall, Zephyr Blade,

Description: Cram is a bulky wall, with bulk in its gulping and gourging forms and removal for the tier while it can deal a lot of damage with roosting off the damage, and healing with its moves allowing it to stay alive and deal chip damage and also trading blows super well as it can weaken the opponent with def debuffs and speed debuffs. It no longer inflicts paralysis to be less toxic but i believe cramorant can cut it out
Gulp Missile - Cramorant: 1/3 less damage in Gulping/Gourging, +1/8 max HP if uses a Water-/Flying-type move. Arrokuda = -1 Def/-SpD, Pikachu = -2 Spe.

Chicken Dance - +1 Sp. Atk +1 Spe
Fishious Rend - 65 BP and 1.5x if it moves first
Octazooka - 80 BP 20 PP and 100% chance to lower sp. def of opponent by 1
Squall - 80 BP 10 PP 1.5x power if under sand or snow
Chilling Water - 80 BP 10 PP 30% chance for frostbite (freeze is frostbite in glacemons OU)
Sleep Talk - can call rest successfully like how it does in gen 2

Sample Sets:
Cramorant @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Gulp Missile
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD or 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Bold or Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald / Chilling Water
- Hurricane / Brave Bird
- Roost
- Defog / Chicken Dance

Item: Utility Umbrella
Origin: Glacemons
Effect: Ignores weather; 3/4 damage and ignore secondary effects under weather/terrain.
Description: This gives a lot of def utility to terrain teams and weather teams as well as counterplay against them, it can also just be good when paired with stuff like chilly reception or pokemon with sand stream and other effects since having damage reduction and being immune to secondary effects can help stave off potentially annoying mons

Ok I feel good. Sub Review time. Also, I would like to hear if your mod allows Tera. Particularly SoloMods since they don't always ban Tera from their shit. Also we need more vote slots!

:Aegislash: Not 100% on this guy, mainly because while it has more or less equal defensive value it's much much worse offensively. Grass is such an easy to resist move in the game, and your best bet at punishing Leaf Storm being Air Slash isn't a good look for it. The offensive aspect is just too disappointing imo.

:bisharp: Strange Pokémon. Being forced to not have dual STAB at all times really gimps this Pokémon. Physical sets have Steel + Fighting coverage, which isn't awful at all, but the metagame seems to already be shifting away from this being reliable coverage. Special sets are even worse, since they are already working with a much lower SpA stat, and it's STAB moves cap out at 70 BP. Very inconsistent, and I see a world where the mons it want to check can beat it solely due to the low damage output.

Edit: Blue Ray has pointed out an aspect of the ability I missed, which is that moves that switch categories from standard get a 20% power boost, which makes this hella more interesting and a lot more powerful. Physical sets and even mixed Meteor Beam sets imo are more potent, but I am still unsure about Nasty Plot, the move BPs are just crazy low man.

:celebi: Praying Visitor is fantastic. It checks a solid portion of the metagame right now, adds a solid offensive Fairy, a very consistent Ground switch in, and has solid coverage to lure stuff to check (Meteor Beam is really good at luring G-Max Centiskorch). While missing out on some key tools from Celebi's Movepool like T.Wave, Nasty Plot and SR, Visitor can still do a great job as it has enough natural utility to do what it has to do. A truly great Pokémon that would be a very useful addition to the tier right now.

:Leavanny: I am not personally a fan of Sticky Web, and adding a ground resist that is also an offensive Ground type is funny, it's an ok Pokémon, adds a really fast physical attacker to the tier as well. The ability itself sounds funny. Will it be problematic? Depends on how our Flying types and Ground resists shape up in the next 2 or so slates.

:froslass: This seems mighty strong in the now, even if the lacks consistent form of Ghost type damage. If this were to win I'd believe it would immediately assert itself as a dominant threat due to it's very powerful unresisted Ice moves and it's speed (115 Speed is very very good rn), but as Ice checks become much more consistent rn it would be a lot less consistent. Do with that information what you will. nkkoo

:klinklang: imo, it's largely better than the Gojira villain due to consistent high BP moves across the board. This Pokémon shares similar sentiment like Froslass, but it just as a far lower ceiling. It def preys on our three Dragon types in fun ways, and it's full of utility that gets abused more with its signature ability in Self Repair, allowing it to heal off chip. Its inoffensive and would definitely be viable, possibly even long term, but it's not really my thing.

:Klefki: I am personally not a fan of the guy, mainly because it has like zero means to touch a Steel if it needs to. That is mainly it. It's customs seem useless so that doesn't pique my interest.

:milotic: Take VaporeMons Milotic, boil it down to less than it's bare essentials and you get this. Mind you, less than the bare essentials is still crazy good for this Pokémon, as Water Fairy is a great defensive typing, Milotic never needed anymore more than dual STAB and the dual STAB options in question are pretty cool. No Scald and especially no Flip Turn kinda sucks but Milotic can still thrive well enough. Picking this would be a great choice if you are aiming for a good bulky Water.

:Metagross: Solid bulky pure Fairy tank. Orangesodapop wants it to be a defogger but honestly I think it's much better off setting Stealth Rock. Your hazard removal not having any healing hurts more than it helps. Otherwise, Fetagross is an old favorite of mine and I think it would be a solid long term tank for your metagame.

:wigglytuff: Personally not that big of a fan. Feels like it relies on only 1 Ghost type ever being in the metagame to pull off Rapid Spin. Outside of its hazard control potential it seems like a somewhat decent revenge killer, but it lacks the coverage I would want here.

Based.

:cobalion: Seems like a great physical wall, but I am 100% against Dark immunities being added, especially when we have multiple top tier targets that Dark types check rn and we don't actually have any [good] Dark types Pokémon.

:Gyarados: Adds the metagame's first dedicated set up sweeper, and does it in a very interesting way. I will admit I don't think the ability was made to be able to be instantly triggered, but irregardless ReGeneration Gyarados served as a potent wincon. Something to note, this Pokémon does have access to Tera, so you should keep that in mind when voting for this guy. Even so, I think this is a really good Pokémon with already existing viable counterplay that definitely should be looked into if you are trying to promote growth of the metagame.

This would have been an excellent Pokémon that immediately gotten my vote if it wasn't for the fact that it's best Fire type move is tied between Temper Flare and Raging Fury (awful options for STAB). Saying this trades speed for power is very crazy considering this cannot out damage a Cinderace for shit.

:rotom: Fast offensive pivot Electric type. Nothing crazy or even overtly impressive, but it's still a very solid threat. It has good coverage on both sides, and physical sets can probably serve as a decent wallbreaker. Special sets aren't in the wall breaking business but it's still very decent since Overheat carries it hard. It's rather frail, so do not expect it to me amazing, but Cactus Drive is actually a based ability in this metagame so expect it to get hella mileage out of that.

:mawile-mega: Another lover of GTerrain, TT is a unique pivot style Pokémon, with good bulk, decent offenses on both sides and a middling but ok speed tier. I think better Pokémon in a vacuum exist, but Twin Toxin winning wouldn't be hurting the metagame.

:Durant: I don't think this is that good. Bulky Fairies that have zero utility or means to punish their primary switching is very good. Even Royal Honey imo isn't as crazy unless it avoids SR damage.

:buzzwole: Definitely the best Buzzwole we are gonna get. Sky Uppercut will let it get hella mileage for the long-term future needs, making it hard punish Flying types that try to switch in - but notably gets wallyooped in am actual 1v1. Solid contender for best Ground resist so far.

:houndoom: Houndoom is pretty solid. Adds a crazy offensive check to Drampa and Aurorus without being a true hard counter cuz it's not too bulky. 105 Speed is nice right now and allows it to creep most of the metagame right off the bat. 5 Big Dooms is a very powerful move, and this Pokémon imo is fast enough with enough defensive utility to try and SubTect + 5 Big Dooms to fully abuse the Doomer ability. Tera Bug might unironically be a great option for this guy to dodge Ground and Fighting tech too (Iron Fisters can only Tera Bug).

:brambleghast::mienshao: A great offensive pivot, and a creation of mine, Brambleshao is a great offensive Mon with surprising longevity thanks to its unique defensive profile + it's ability, allowing to swap into far more Pokémon than it should. Overall a solid Mon.

:victreebel: Weeping Vine is so good, I subbed it once! Look at my submission week 1 for a review

:dhelmise: Water/Ghost/Grass is insane glue defensively, it checks SOOOOO many Pokémon present and future off raw typing alone and adds a nice form of hazard removal for teams if they are yearning for it. This Polémon also has 4 STAB moves if that is something you are into! Good pick if you want it, still thinking about him.

Another great Ground resist to add to the tier, that also doubled as a Water type check. Grass Fighting has a few hiccups in regards to what it hits and that has since compounded since it's last sub, but somehow Glace has such a crazy Movepool I think it can make due with the checks. It's also still early as hell and the meta is probably bound to introduce stuff that it can beat on its own comfortably. Overall a pretty decent pick.

If you are looking for a solid SpD wall with a specialization in Water and Ground checking...this guy does a very good job. I saw the replays, and while this is NOTy cup of tea, it is never the less very effective at being a long term defensive option without being a broken or uncompetitive mess. It lost the Para inflicting which is def pleasing to some, but it still gained a strong enough effect that is consistent and reliable to replace it. Good Mon, even if it's not for me.

Overall, very surprised that people didn't immediately decide to flesh out Gravity, GTerrain and Trick Room abusers, which all seem to be the 3 big field archetypes that we will proceeding with going forward and decided to flesh out some more metagame archetypes. This is personally pleasing to me, we can abusers later probably. Also shocked at the rarity of Steels, Waters and Grounds, since those moms are usually the cornerstone of metagame building. Ig Ground makes sense since people don't want Gravity cracked too early, but still. Interesting set of subs.
