s/o Chloe for the awesome art!! :3

As PUPL reaches its climax in the intense finals between the Magmortars and the Kingpins, I want you (yes, YOU) to yap about your PUPL XI experience! Whether it be about built teams that won, lost, or unique sets that were created throughout the season, talk about it here; you can even include things that weren’t brought! Not to mention, LTWC is also nearing its end where we saw a lot of PU being played there, and we'll also be using this thread as an outlet for LTWC discussion!

Good luck to all finalists!

somehow no one has posted here yet so i can try to kick it off, i didn't build a whole lot of my teams this season (thanks umbry SEA) but will post the things that i did make and use (my memory is so dogshit that if i didnt build one of these i wouldnt be too surprised but ummmm i am pretty sure i did...LMAO)

not a very fancy structure, for pretty much a majority of my games this year i've been fine running rhydon balance slop city because it had been working. revival blessing pawmot + 2 wincons (technically 3 with rhydon i suppose) gives you some freedom mid game. there isn't anything really special to say about this team otherwise, what i'll mention is that the rotom spread underspeeds other rotom which i think is pretty important. and the super slow milo is so that you're slower than wo chien which makes it easier to pivot against that. as the weeks went on it became a little more apparent that running that is dangerous cause of shit like golurk...

this was the week where amoonguss was allowed mid week, and at this time i was hyperfixated on making amoonguss spike teams, like i had made a LOT of them. i just couldn't really get anything i liked because building amoonguss is kind of annoying sometimes idk. eventually i realized that this structure would be completely better if i just used something over amoonguss so i adapted it a little to focus on wo-chien instead which is how this team came about. since the start of the season wo-chien spikes had been theorized since they worked so well in rupl, unfortunately the issue lies in that wo-chien partners in ru are good pokemon while its partners in pu are not that great. this team felt pretty comfortable to use though so i feel pretty satisfied with it. sneasel-h and bruxish make for pretty decent speed control, with both being able to bust through a lot of slower teams if you position them well enough. eq slash is here because wo chien spreads knocks easily enough as is, and flipping the cm tera steel guno mu / kind of the salazzle mu is nice.

im not doing the silly pun

somewhat similar to a team i had seen in ltwc i believe - i hadn't used a single gbro the whole season, though i did try a good amount to make it work on a team i feel comfortable with. was mostly just me being finicky, because whatever move id drop id end up missing severely, and building with av always made me paranoid about getting owned by hazards. decided to give it a shot this week because if everyone is slapping it on their teams then i'm probably doing something wrong. kind of wacky by my standards, because i usually hate dropping rhydon, and i don't really use shit like av goodra that often. i think both ambi and cb zoro are very very good right now due to the lack of amazing physical punishes, cram is the Hazard Control, and av goodra is kind of a soft check to most special attackers which i felt like i needed since i wanted to have cm gbro as a proper wincon instead of designating it to be av. mudsdale is stone edge instead of roar because i really hate the idea of giving guno a free in and stopping my momentum partially. that being said if i had roar on mudsdale, or psyshock on gbro, or trick on zoroark (foul play is good af :v ) this game wouldve been a lot easier for me but i bungled it anyway oops.

and here are two ltwc teams i built that are definitely shit but i felt like fucking around in that tour in the builder anyway https://pokepast.es/6de2a38e8f365fc0 https://pokepast.es/7c90631b87b0a64e do not use the second one

Here are some Teams I built for the Delphoxes:

Band Boar Sub Hoopa

https://pokepast.es/b6739bfa1960d262
:Emboar: :Rhydon: :Cramorant: :Amoonguss: :Hoopa: :Bruxish:
Pretty cool cook. Essentially relies on Muscle Band Emboar with trailblaze to break the defensive backbones of teams. It seemed to synergise well with Sub Hoopa who is excellent into the abundant Amoonguss-Glowbro core. Magician also leads to some cool tech where you can end up stealing a scarf, boots etc. Other than that, it's a standard structure.

Guno Qwil Spikestack

https://pokepast.es/db4b8b6cfff32c77
:Amoonguss: :Qwilfish-Hisui: :Articuno-Galar: :Rhydon: :Houndstone: :Cramorant:
This was a pretty classic spikestack but proved very deadly. Use Houndstone to spinblock, Guno to prevent defog and Roar Rhydon to get your chip and phase. Pretty solid team into any structure!

Friendship Breaker Tox Spam

https://pokepast.es/25ad262500d5167f
:Goodra: :Decidueye-Hisui: :Dudunsparce: :Salazzle: :Bruxish: :Rotom-Heat:
The dreaded tox spam team. Toxic spam is pretty broken and easily abusable right now. This team lacks immunities, however, it has a strong defensive base in Goodra, Dudun, and defensive hecid and Rotom H. This team is actually very easy to pilot and can auto win a lot of matchups.

LO Pawmot NP Lazzle BO

https://pokepast.es/97589eb310c08150
:Salazzle: :Goodra: :Cramorant: :Mudsdale: :Rotom-Heat: :Pawmot:
Very solid team which relies on Pawmot and Salazzle to abuse passive backlines. Defensive Goodra is a cheat code with Toxic and Koff. Mudsdale has great longevity and overall the team just feels solid into any scenario.

Booster Spam BO

https://pokepast.es/7aa45008b82f7ad9
:Grimmsnarl: :Mudsdale: :Cramorant: :Rotom-Heat: :Articuno-Galar: :Florges:
This team works mainly on a psychological basis. Your opponent will need to play very accurately to stop the onslaught of boosters on the team. Bulk Up Grimm can go crazy if it gets enough momentum and every single mon on this team is dangerous.

Cloak Dudun SD Qwil

https://pokepast.es/d2fb0dae58916960
:Qwilfish-Hisui: :Dudunsparce-Three-Segment: :Goodra: :Mudsdale: :Venusaur: :Cramorant:
Here is another Bulky Offense which leans on people expecting more passive sets from Qwilfish Hisui and Dudun. Cloak Dudun can literally sit on half the tier if your opp doesn't play aggressively. Never losing the Triple Arrows flinch war, never getting moonblast drops, never getting poisoned by ssa is very, very strong. SD Qwil also knocks dents into the fattest of backlines and can set up vetry reliably with Intimidate. Finally, Scarf Venusaur is rare and often snags a free kill based on people expecting passivity.

I had a blast managing and building this PUPL. I hope people can have some fun with these teams!!!
