Think there should be a Steel sample with Hisuian Goodra, since I think it’s the best “6th mon” outside of the standard 5 which are on every Steel team. Obviously on Steel you should be using Gholdengo, Archaludon, Heatran, Iron Treads, and Skarmory, but I think H-Goodra offers so much as a sixth teammate on this standard Steel mold.
Built and used this team to get to 1800 elo on multiple accounts, and get some good winstreaks going 25-0 on ladder, showing its success. Its very easy to use and is a good team for newer players, and showcases what I believe to be the best 6 mons on steel at the moment. See screenshots for proof.
Team Description:
This team follows the Steel skeleton of Skarmory + Heatran + Iron Treads + Gholdengo + Archaludon, with Hisuian Goodra added as a flexible sixth slot. Skarmory sets Spikes, walls physical attackers, and phazes. Heatran provides Stealth Rock, Fire coverage, and a way to punish threats like Volcarona. Iron Treads keeps hazards under control with Rapid Spin while also checking Grounds with Air Balloon. Gholdengo pressures Defoggers and walls, doubling as a Trick user to cripple defensive cores. Archaludon provides speed control with a second Scarf and offensive pressure against bulky Waters and Dragons. Having a second scarfer in Archaludon allows Gholdengo to more freely click trick to cripple a defensive threat that would otherwise stop the team in its tracks. Hisuian Goodra rounds out the team with its phenomenal special bulk, Dragon Tail to punish setup, and Knock Off utility, covering matchups like Fire, Electric, and opposing Dragons while giving Steel a more resilient defensive backbone.
