overall not sure how to feel about this win. if i won this in 2017 I would feel elated and it still does mean a lot but I do think I'm past the point where I invest a lot of meaning into individual tournament wins. etern told me I qualified for the second round but I made it to 11th under the engineer because he missed him (sorry to expose you...) and I'd laddered up to like 1470 loading s1noh voltturn so I figured I'd just make it cycle 3 and I did.

It cannot be stressed enough what a hellish experience the ladder is; my feeling on the NU ladder was not dissimilar from my time taking 100 games on the LC ladder to make reqs:

You can replace the things I listed with psy terrain, overqwil nonsense and the rest that all the ladder nerds are familiar with. It was fun at points but I truly despise laddering. It did familiarize me with a metagame that is in SCL though; I was hoping to manage SCL when I started the tour and it kind of still hasn't sunk in that I'll be part of this tournament after snake 4 being my last div 1 tournament.

Regarding the tour itself, I feel really happy about my play in some of my games, obviously with a fair share of chokes and mistakes. I would consider myself an underdog in basically every series I played and played two top SCL players. I got lucky in a game vs s1noh and lucked elias in a game to oblivion. I mean, even if you look at the obb series I pulled some insane heroics g2 and i think i just played worse g3; he got me to a 50/50 on the final turn from a completely winning position for me that I needed luck to achieve (the reason the melo double was good is bc with lefties it doesn't die to shell side arm anymore without poison). regardless of all that, it still feels nice that I can win something, here's my shoutouts:

Ninja for testing with me r1 and then giving me two teams. upon my win, I realized these were shengineer teams. That's a hilarious move LMAO I hope you get your SCL debut king

Stories and Shengineer: I think I used a sheng team for basically every round other than the one stories passed me teams for. It's been a pleasure teaming with you both on south, you are really dialed into this metagame. I don't think I'd be here without stories in particular, not a lot of people would start a washed kingler in RUWC and expect him to win and THEN start me in SV RU with 0 RU games played LMAOOO seriously, the trust you placed in me to actually start given my complete lack of results in this generation means a lot.
