Project UM Community Create-a-Team! [1v1 Submissions Open!]

:ampharos: and :mesprit:
Ampharos uses Volt Switch and Roar to shuffle in Mesprit safely, crippling physical attackers with Rocky Helmet + Static and carving openings for Mesprit to set up. Once in, Mesprit’s Nasty Plot snowballs with Draining Kiss recovery and boosted Psyshock pressure, while Encore locks defensive answers.

:floatzel: :jolteon:

PIVOT. Band Floatzel + HDB Jolteon relying on Flip Turn and Volt Switch to chip down checks and counters for an ally or one of them to sweep towards the end. Something comes in to tank the hit, bam, they take 14% or whatever from Turn/Volt plus 12% from SR, and then something that threatens it immediately out comes in. Never lose tempo.

:perrserker::whimsicott:
make sure you have a sturdy fire resist! these two are a pretty standard duo in the current meta, as perrserker stocks rise and people catch on to whimsicott being one of the hardest mons to switch into.

perr hits incredibly hard with its stab, knocks items off of shared checks like charizard, and has a nice slow pivot into whimsi. it can also obliterate with close combat the steel-types that stonewall whimsi’s dual stab and rack up chip damage with rocks or fake out. in turn, whimsi can break through meta staples like vikavolt, lanturn, sandslash, and strong fighting-types like heasel and passimian to make perr’s life as a slow attacker that much easier.

:mimikyu: is a such a underatted mon in 2v2 i mean everyone knows what he can do but not everyone is prepared for.

bulks specs flutter moonblast or lo chien pao's icicle crash. lowered speed for metal burst (it is not low priority). encore makes protect and fake out risky. idk what to do with the last move, probably depends on the partner

:talonflame: Talonflame!

In my mind, the only necessity is Tailwind - you can make use of STABs, Quick Guard, Wisp, Taunt, hell it even gets stuff like setup (imagine ignoring the bird you expect to TW only for it to SD and now you're in big trouble) or nuke moves like Giga Impact. My preferred set is TW+QG+STABs, personally. EVs, item, move selection, are kinda up in the air. I see Talonflame as a utility 'mon, so in my head it wouldn't be locked in until the partner(s) are chosen, so I won't try to submit a set locked in stone. But Talonflame's great fun in my mind and I wanna put it forward.

Hoopa-Unbound @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hyperspace Fury
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Trick
This is designed to double target a pokemon, which can lead to it going down turn one. The set can be altered but hyperspace fury is the only mandatory move here

Archaludon @ Life Orb
Ability: Stalwart
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt/Electro Shot
- Protect

stalwart = funny ability. rain dance torn is obviously a great partner but not wholly necessary (please dont use pelipper). think it could be cool on psyspam since you invalidate oger+chien and random annoying stuff like corvi+redirect.

Dragapult @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Disable
- Protect
shower him some love
useful in pao teams + disable can mess people up last sec nd with that speed it can also block choiced attackers completely

Ting-Lu @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 168 HP / 136 Atk / 92 Def / 112 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stomping Tantrum
- Payback
- Heavy Slam
- Protect
One of my favorites in sv, i thing ting lu is an incredible bulky mon with suprisingly high damage output, especially with WP. It can eat hits from specs flutter and hands and can kill most flutters without it even activated. Great partners are oger wellspring, and you can turn it into a stall support by adding snarl, which pairs well with mons like arcanine.

:ambipom:

Ambipom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Giga Impact
- Triple Axel
- Gunk Shot / Taunt / Tickle

Ambipom is a funny glass cannon style pokemon with Technician boosted Fake Outs + Triple Axels and strong Giga Impacts. It's got a pretty good speed tier of 115, although it's not the fastest. For a comparison of how powerful Ambipom is, with LO and Technician Fake Out + Triple Axel is slightly stronger than Band Meowscarada's Protean Triple Axel and with LO and Technician Fake Out + Giga Impact is slightly stronger than Wide Lens Maushould's Population Bomb

:iron-leaves:
tuna (Iron Leaves) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Psyblade
- Substitute
- Megahorn

leaves sounds like a shitmon but it's actually kinda cool, 130 atk is very respectable, the same as shifu/sneasler/chomp/valiant/scizor and a bit better than h-avalugg and rillaboom. it's got a decent speed tier, beats basically everything you would expect it to like prim and hands. its movepool is also pretty great, outside of leaf blade and psyblade there's a lot of things you can run. trailblaze, sd, cc/sacred sword, wild charge, giga impact, throat chop, reversal all beat different things, even gets like taunt and quick attack. idk about building around it but I wanted to show it off as a cool glue mon
