Ok so circling back to this in light of the (almost) final main stage standings...

Caesar wrote the above quoted text not because the Belgians were actually the most badass savages, but for inexplicable reasons a military genius like him, tasked by the Senate with the mission of bringing Gaul under Roman control and keeping it that way, couldn't manage to control this one region in northern Gaul called 'Belgica'. This was propaganda. By depicting Belgians as brave warriors, he tried to justify his enormous military spendings and the many war efforts it took to control this population.

Nonetheless, there is truth to Caesar's literal words anno 2025, as a bunch of belgae fortes really tried their best to prove they have a place in this tournament. Sadly, things didn't end up working out this year but we will fight for our spot once again next year. Notwithstanding the current result, I am still very proud of our team.

For now, we rest and keep on practicing.
