Greetings folks. I've decided to take it upon myself to explain three matchups from each bracket that I believe will be an amazing watch. Games are in no particular order or significance.

Round 4 - Ones to Watch

Winners Bracket

ButtGallon vs torkonpeter

ButtGallon is a very prominent, up-and-coming RBY lower-tier player with varied results. TorkonPeter is a strong RBY and SU mainer fresh off the back of a finals Discord tour appearance. With two competitors who are as equally skilled as each other, if things go well, we could be in for a really entertaining battle. I am leaning TorkonPeter in three.

Zpice vs Amaranth
Guest writer: Soda_Eesti
Zpice is a mainer (slur) who is addicted to this format, playing in every single tournament for it. Amaranth, on the other hand, is an SPL player who has been fooling around in lower tiers recently, playing RBY SU in OMPL. Since both of these players played in RBYOMPL, they naturally faced each other, which went 2-1 in Amaranth's favor. This should be an interesting rematch, with the most experienced and the most skilled players in the bracket against each other. I am predicting Amaranth in two.

Yimb is a newcomer within the RBY scene, and while he might come across as unassuming, he is known to be a silent assassin across the community. Gastlies, in comparison, is a very prestigious RBY player championing their success in the first RBY SU forum tour among a plethora of other accolades. With a real David vs. Goliath matchup here, could we see an upset? I'm leaning Gastlies in three.

Losers Bracket

Lillith Plays vs Aides

Kicking off the Losers Bracket portion of the writing, we have an intriguing matchup between two mainers who possess a plethora of experience with SU and with each other. These two players have a little bit of a rivalry going on between each other, which should make for an even cagier affair. Regardless of this outcome, we are certainly in for a treat here. I am predicting Lillith in three nail-biting games.

While I said these games are in no particular order, I would consider this the highlight of both brackets in my opinion. Sabelette is one of the top players in the RBY lower tiers community, while Acluh1 ranks among the three strongest RBY players currently competing in this tier. Both players faced unexpected defeats against BulbaBrain and Volk earlier in the tournament, adding to the intrigue of this matchup. With each round being a win-or-go-home situation, it would be exciting to see which opponent advances here and which opponent crashes out of this tournament early. With that in mind, I believe Acluh1 will advance in three tough games.

Ending it with the battle of the "Boomers," Diegolh has recently returned to competitive Pokemon and Smogon after a five-year hiatus. Michael Jordan had also taken a bit of a hiatus prior to coming back in the early parts of 2025. Both players look to have motivation for this tournament, so it would be interesting to see how things will unfold this set. In terms of predictions, I think Diegolh wins in two.

Thank you everyone for reading, I'm hoping to do this at a more regular occurrence so stay tuned for future rounds!
