Tournament Rules

  • Best of three, single elimination
  • Battles should take place on DragonHeaven; please use this to build and play the format!
  • Standard battle clauses
  • Replays are required!
Reminder: DragonHeaven is where you are able to build and play the format!

Scheduling Recommendations
  • Contact your opponent as soon as possible. Include what your available times are and your timezone in this initial contact.
  • When scheduling, offer the widest range of time possible to play. Just mentioning one or two specific times is likely insufficient.
  • Schedule specifically - do not schedule for "Friday afternoon" or "Sunday morning", pick a date, a time and note the timezone.

On Bugs
As far as we are aware of, most bugs are fixed; we've recently had a PR merged that aimed at all the current issues that were discovered during a rise of activity within the tier. To set a rule on these bugs; if a bug occurs, you must simply re-do the game, whether it's the first, the second, or the third. It's unfair to count bugs as a win against people, so this rule should make it fair for you all and also make it easier for us to fix bugs. Please link the bugged game not grouped in the replays that the actual series was played; link it below them, for example.

Glaceon + Umbreon w/ U-turn - Illegal combination. Do not use.

Abilities
Unconcerned - Causes the game to crash.
Hospitality - Does not heal switch-in.

Items
Crystal Crown - Does not work against Mega Evolved Pokemon.
Utility Umbrella - Does not work.
Polkadot Bow - If the holder doesn't has a secondary type, turns the second move into a type-less move.
Dungeon's Looplet - Does not work.
Surprise Bomb - Doesn't work.

Deadline is August 31th, @ 11:59 PM -4. Extensions close August 28th!

It was a valiant attempt to allow Magic Guard Pokemon to not take hazards. It is a bit inconvenient but atm you need to make sure Magic Guard mons have the ability Magic Guard in builder.

I tried throwing the "!== 'magic guard'" condition to each ability and that giga crashed, but in hindsight just checking "target.species.abilities.includes('magicguard')" is probably good enough...
