Project National Dex Bazaar

hello, first ever post on Smogon actually! I've been playing Natdex for quite some time now and I've recently been experimenting with screen teams and in the end ended up with this Zama screens HO. I returned to Showdown about 6 months ago and this team is the first time I've hit 1700s on a ladder :)

Ghostium Z Ghold just nukes anything really especially after a NP
Giga Drain & Psychic Volc is for Alo and Toxapex
Latias has enough Speed to outspeed Booster Ival after 1 Agility
This Urshifu set has beaten Toxapex by itself aswell (if no rocky helmet)

Super fun imo, also always open to any feedback :)

Idea was to build around Mlop and breaker (regidrago) to cover offensive and fat builds. Some techs such as body slam mola to snipe/decentivise woger switch ins but also helpful to para mons for regidrago. Eject button ghold mainly for volt switch/u-turn zapdos and moltres as well as mola flip turn to bring in regidrago. Fully physdef ghold to help woger, kgb, ival, mus. SD 3a lando also acts as a more reliable secondary breaker if regidrago seems redundant against stuff like clef/fini.

Hey there. I am back again with some more teams and I got 3 new teams with spice and heat.

Salamence + Zard Y - https://pokepast.es/8ebfad85cc25cf4e

The concept of this team is to use Zard Y to click its buttons and does Zard Y stuff with a standard Weatherball, Solar Beam, Focus Blast + roost set. I went for Focus Blast to fix the Mega-Tyranitar match up but of course you can run scorching sands. Fire Blast is also an option and so is flamethrower over weatherball on Zard Y. Salamence here is Sub DD + Groundium z. This set uses Heatran, Gliscor and Toxapex as set up fodder by subbing on them and puts pressure on pex forcing it to haze and you can DD and once youre at +1 go for groundium Z and Pex gone. This Salamence set can also sweep later game pretty effecitvely once Zapdos, Corvknight and the physical unaware walls are out of the picture. Moxie and base 100 speed give Salamence more potential to sweep and becomes harder to revenge kill as it outspeeds Urshifu-Rapid Strike, Tapu Lele and Landorus-T which Dragonite does not. Plus I just like Salamence in general so it works out well. Temper Flare is an option to on this team to hit Corv if you are not scared of status.

Great Tusk is the hazard removal, stealth rock setter and good enough physical sponge with helmet to punish u-turn and mega lopunny and electric immunity. Zeraora is a source of speed control and has taunt to block set up and opposing hazards and set up and the evs are to outspeed zamazenta and the rest remaining in bulk with 8 HP minimising life orb recoil and I split the remaining 32 in pdef and spdef. Hatterene is magic bounce and another source of hazard prevention + capable of doing well vs stall. The speed evs are to outspeed Ting Lu and the rest in pdef and a bit of special attack. You can go bold too but I little more damage and hence for modest. On Great Tusk I felt being above 355 attack was a good enough number and went for 24 HP evs as I think you can take hits from Urshifu-rapid strike in sun better but you can go max attack. Kingambit is standard SD with black glasses with hopes of being a potential late game cleaner and a decent breaker too. Zeraora has Play Rough to hit great tusk as hard as possible and Close Combat for Mega-Tyranitar, Blissey/Chansey and Mega Lopunny. Zeraora can block a rapid spin from Teragapos by clicking Plasma Fists. The match up we struggled here was against a Gliscor + Pex + Celesteela core and a stall which rain iron head corv who flinched my hatterene.

I have 2 interesting Mega Sceptile teams.
The first one - https://pokepast.es/dcbfc1348f052723
The second one - https://pokepast.es/35ce3b20d1598626

They are both offensive teams based around my boy Mega Sceptile. I have gone above 1700 with both these teams which are similar.

In the first team, We have 4 attacks Mega Sceptile with 2 grass moves in Giga Drain, Leaf Storm, and stab Dragon Pulse and Focus Blast. Its a form of speed control and an electric immunity and decent at handling offence like Mega Lopunny, Tapu Koko, Greninja, Garchomp and so on. Latios is the scarfer and speed control outspeeding even Mega Swampert in rain and with trick to criple fat and with stabs Luster Purge and Draco Metoer and Mystical Fire for Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn and for lowering special attack of opps. Ceruledge is the physical sweeper or breaker depending on situations with strong stabs and essentially unwallable. Its only defensive checks are physical unaware walls and perhaps some variants of bulky Lando-T and Garchomp. In team 1 we have Great Tusk as the ground type, stealth rocker, spinner and with rocky helmet it punishes u-turns and chips off Mega Lopunny. Alolan Muk is the pursuit trapper with 4 speed evs to outspeed chansey. I tried 252 Attack, 240 HP, and 12 Spdef with 4 speed. But I think standard max attack, max HP with adamant AV is the way to go. I went for Knock Off, Gunk Shot for more power and to ohko val with a high chance of 2hkoing blissey and Pursuit which is big which allows me to trap Latis and some Gholdengos and many special attacking ghosts. Ive often traded with Zard Y and an interim check to it. Not a full Zard Y check but to an extent. You can run poison jab if you feel the power isn't necessary. Also, it pursuit traps Lele a lot for big damamge. Celesteeela is the special sweeper with automotise and flash canon is stab and fire blast with firium z is the nuke that destroys fat gholdengo. Celesteela is able to snowball often and the speed evs are to outspeed base 60s. Cele provides important defensive utility despite it being offensive. Zapdos is a annoying for this team to a reasonable extent and Heatran somewhat but still manageable. We have beaten every playstyle with this team.

In the second team, they are changes where celesteela is now physically based automotize with heavy slam, stone edge and earthquake. This now handles Heatran better and can take one hit from Zard Y and ko back with stone edge. I have weakness policy Ting Lu with earthquake, stone edge and payback. This allows Ting Lu to pick up a KO out of nowhere and this was inspired in part from a pokeaimd video. The ev spread Ive gone is what outspeeds clefable here but my initial ev spread was what outspeed base 50s like chansey. In addition, this ev spread is to survive a specs moonblast from timid Tapu Lele after rocks. The previous ev spread was 252 Attack, 44 speed, 156 HP. and 70 spdef. You can try that too. Ting Lu provides rocks. Empoleon is waterium Z to get a surprise KO and massive damage on stuff like corvknight. I went with ice beam to hit serperior hard and its also a defogger to remove hazards. I went with roost in the filler slot but you can also go for grass knot or flash canon to deal with Kyurem better. Speed evs are to outspeed adamant Ursuluna and Kingambit and 84 HP evs go in Bulk. Ceruledge, Latios and Mega Sceptiles roles remain the same here. I have been from min 1590 to 1746 max with these teams.

Anyway lets get into replays with the two teams

Hello after looking at your team and how you highlighted kuyrem as a big issue I would like to first say maybe make heatran spedef which increases the chances if it's not specs kyurem to live epower if it runs it, this would also reduce your overall ice weakness and would help your offensive core a bit more, my rule of thumb with dnite is, if it's a breaker it needs to be supported by a defensive core and for the most part your team lacks that. If you run dnite I'd suggest dropping either zapdos or lando to find a suitable replacement as thats a huge issue with your team that would overall improve your team I would tell you to make lando phys def and find a better pivot then zapdos that is not weak to ice perhaps even a non-flying mon also imo samurott looks kinda ehh for this team it's not really helping much. Just my take on it.

Greetings Natdex enjoyers, I wanted to share with you guys a team that I had sucess with:
And that team is this Volcarona Fat team:
:volcarona::dragonite::skarmory::scream tail::toxapex::ting-lu:
I wanted to build a fat team that had good odds against Gholdengo, which is often a huge roadblock. To me, :volcarona: was that mon, as it has incredible special bulk, Quiver Dance and threatens Gholdengo if decided to stay in. I invested in speed originally to simply outrun Gholdengo at 294, but then move it to outrun max speed Pecharunt. The rest of its Evs are in max Hp, and 100 in Spdef. This spread allows Volcarona to survive a +2, Ghostium Z from max Spatk Timid Gholdengo after a Quiver Dance.
for reference:
+2 252 SpA Gholdengo Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. +1 248 HP / 100 SpD Volcarona: 309-364 (82.8 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
The goal is to weaken the opposing team enough either via status, hazards and/or direct damage to eventually get a Volcarona sweep going. Another mon I do wanna highlight on this team is :scream tail:, as it is shockingly good into a ton of meta relevant mons. These include Mega Charizard Y, Mega Medicham, Mega Latios, Iron Valiant, Raging Bolt, Kyurem, and Tapu Lele to name a few. I opted for Play Rough over Dazzling Gleam to better handle Calm Mind Tapu Lele, and Protect alongside can give it some longevity, can make it a decent wishpasser for TingLu, and can stall out field effect turns, such as sun turns from Mega Charizard Y, and psychic terrain turns from Tapu Lele. The last move was initially Encore, but while decent, it didnt fit the team all that well. Then I changed to Roar, and it made a huge change, now it can comfortably switch in against setup sweepers like Volcarona, Raging Bolt, and Tapu Lele, while giving a second spikes shuffler alongside TingLu. :ting-lu: itself was originally a Gliscor, but after hard losing to Nidoking of all mons, I wanted to lookup for a mon that could much better help on that matchup. TingLu works decently as an alternative to Gliscor on this team. It takes away some pressure from Volcarona as the one Gholdengo answer, making it easier to preserve for late game sweeping. It also works as a Yard answer when Scream Tail is under pressure as well. Ruination is also a mlve to that puts a ton of pressure on the opponent, as it either forces them to waste their heal moves, makes switchins incredibly awkard for them, and makes it easier to clean up for Volcarona. :dragonite: is the teams dedicated Ogerpon Wellspring answer and defogger. It also walls Yard if needed, as well as improve the Rain matchup, which is otherwise difficult to navigate. Alternatively, it can run Heal Bell, making Dragonite a solid cleric for whem mons like Tinglu, Scream Tail or Dragonite itself are statused, although the hazard situation would look rough if too many Knock Offs are spreaded. :toxapex: is the team's status spreader. Not much too really mention here, just your good ol favorite toxic mon. Finally, :skarmory: helps with Kingambit and Ursaluna while also being the team's Spiker. Rocky Helmet also puts a ton of pressure on mons with contact moves.
Here is a game on the 1700 range with this team:
