Welcome to the fourth annual World Cup of Randbats! Last week saw both blowout victories and some thrilling comebacks, and the field has been winnowed to a final 4. Will Canada continue their march to the podium, or will past champions China stop them in their tracks? And which team is hungrier after hard-won victories in the quarterfinals, Oceania or US Northeast? There's only one way to find out!

Standard Tournament Procedures
Like all other tournaments on Smogon, the World Cup of Randbats will follow the general rules and guidelines. Please read them carefully. Also note that replays are required.
When spectating WCOR battles, do not ghost. Ask yourself, “Would my comment reveal information that hasn’t already been explicitly revealed in this battle?” Examples of ghosting include commenting on how an unexpectedly fast Pokemon must be holding a Choice Scarf, speculating that the match will be decided by a tera coinflip, etc.

After single handedly causing US South to crash and burn after having a clear advantage and after failing miserably most of my predictions (as always), here I am, back again. And I guess I am late because two series have already been played smh

Canada (5) vs China (7)

Gen 9 Random Battle (BO5) - Career Ended vs Separation > The leit-motiv of Canada vs China is that most series could easily go either way and this is a perfect example. Sepa has been playing rands for ages, while CE has reached a similar level of greatness only recently. I'll go with the canadian but it's basically a 51-49 series

Gen 9 Random Battle - 3d vs Lechen > At this point 3d is going (almost) winless in wcor but win OLT. Duality of man

Gen 9 Random Battle - Batram vs lza > another series that is going to be a nailbiter

Gen 9 Random Double Battle - Sapphire vs zuzhouwawa > I memed last time and it worked, so let's run it back: if she plays at night, she is going to win; if she plays in the morning/afternoon, she is going to lose

Gen 8 Random Battle - Zap vs llxwd > gut feeling prediction because Zap is definitely favored on paper

Gen 7 Random Battle - Click>Think vs ZowwyCafé♪ > "Please Fran bold Zowwy". Ok Click, I got you . I would have bolded her anyway because she has been doing very well and the series vs Hacker was the classic gen 7 moment, so she comes into this match with a small advantage

Gen 6 Random Battle - yerdunc vs Quagmander > he is in such good form that is hard to bold against him and he is reaching his final form after seeing Paysa getting eliminated (it turns out I was right!)

Gen 5 Random Battle - TheHorrorHare vs dragonitenb > Hare's offense shall prevail

Gen 4 Random Battle - Texas Cloverleaf vs ksicide > mainly because I think the two teams will split the 5 and 4 series

Gen 3 Random Battle - blundergoth vs Indulge in dreams > Indulge in dreams took a slight at my honor by ha-ha react my post where I bolded against them. I'll do it again. (I genuinely have nothing against you, this is just to meme lol)

Gen 2 Random Battle - Rage vs Yuudachi0811 > Yuudachi has been doing well this tournament so I think they are slightly favored

Gen 1 Random Battle - GirlsSeeGhosts vs cscl > I just want to see someone go 10-0 and GSG has been doing amazingly

Gen 9 Random Battle (BO5) - JustOut459 vs Buhrito - Of all the players Buhrito has faced so far in wcor, Justin is the best player and he is even better than last year, so this time I think the prediction is flipped

Gen 9 Random Battle - Drifting vs Fragments > Frag is psychologically down due to his incoming NDPL campaign (but apparently not, since he just won)

Gen 9 Random Battle - Lucas2543 vs peap > peap is technically the slightly better player. Overall, I don't know how but I think Oceania goes 2-1 in gen 9

Gen 9 Random Double Battle - Zelda vs Arcticblast > I only saw Zelda vs Marco and they played quite well, while Arctic is struggling a bit

Gen 8 Random Battle - Ghostilex vs BoRida > Boris has not been at his best form lately and Ghost is always very solid but I have a feeling Boris wins this. You'll see that this is basically the pattern I am predicting for the whole series

Gen 7 Random Battle - damien the genius vs betathunder > after beating Wes, Beta is going to lower the guard and lose. Or he is getting terrible matchups, which is always an option with gen 7

Gen 6 Random Battle - Tom Bus vs c0mp > c0mp had a strong showing in wcor while Plop's records are worse than what I expected given his ladder results. I do expect a turnaround here though

Gen 5 Random Battle - ninjadog vs Monai > see beta's series but reversed

Gen 4 Random Battle - O1V7O2X9O vs edgy king > Steven knows what I told him a few days ago and he shall mirror last year's results. I'd love to see both players win but life is cruel :(

Gen 3 Random Battle - violet river vs Jisoo > Rogi played better than Jisoo last week but she is still a strong player and more consistent than violet

Gen 2 Random Battle - livid washed vs Lady Writer - Livid has been too unlucky vs Luchi so he'll auth button his way through this series

Gen 1 Random Battle - magialice vs Alpha Male Psyduck > upset time because why not?
