Team Importable: Poltersheist-Pokepaste

POLTERSHEIST
An offense featuring Golurk, a pokemon that might suffer the most from "potential"

Poltersheist (Golurk) @ Choice Band
Ability: No Guard
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 12 Def / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poltergeist
- High Horsepower
- Dynamic Punch
- Ice Punch

Golurk has, what I believe to be, a unique place in NatDex. It's offensive typing is incredible, its move pool is unstoppable, his game is unfathomable. And then you get to its stat spread, where its defenses are pretty middling and speed is just bad. However, its attack stat is very useable, and its not so frail that it can't take one hit from many mons. It's ability No Guard removes the gamble from Poltergeist and High Horsepower, and lets you take advantage of Dynamic Punch. It is EV'd to outspeed a Gliscor with no investment and OHKO with Ice Punch. With Poltergeist and High Horsepower, a tremendous portion of the meta is 2HKO'd or OHKO'd outright.

Prince (Corviknight) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost

This is a pretty textbook Corv set. I needed something to help the Waterpon matchup some, so this can take 3 Ivy Cudgels in a row before dying, meaning the Waterpon has to risk a Brave Bird or letting me build momentum with U-turn. I also wanted a slow U-Turn that would draw it Electrics and other mons that Golurk might like to take advantage of.

Great Wall Of Mola (Alomomola) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 8 HP / 248 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Body Slam
- Mirror Coat
- Flip Turn
- Scald

Your friendly neighborhood immortal fish. Fairly standard AV set, however in order to synergize with Poltergeist more I opted for Body Slam over Knock Off, which also helps with slowing things down on a potential paralysis, namely Waterpon that like to switch in, but its useful on everything. This is my other slow U-Turn mon, drawing in electrics and dragons for Golurk and grasses for Corv.

Tea Time (Tapu Lele) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Scarf Lele is my primary means of speed control and a reputable breaker. Everyone knows what this thing is capable of and any well-made reads can turn the tide of a battle vs steels with Focus Blast and Scizor/Kartana with HP fire.

Godskrilla (Tyranitar) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

This fella is the stealth rock setter, special wall, and ghost resist. Firing off powerful Knock Offs and Stone Edges is what is does best, as well as pursuit trapping weakened mons. I'm going to be honest, it doesn't always feel like it pulls its weight so if you have suggestions, please share in the replies.

String Skeez (Gholdengo) @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 84 SpD / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Recover

I opted for a Bold-engo set with Ghostium Z to fire off another powerful ghost-stab on the team. Fightinium-Z is an appropriate alternative if you find yourself needing it more. I chose not to run Make It Rain because it became obsolete with the rest of the team being able to handle everything it would hit.

Threats

Xard has been giving me considerable trouble.

Many mons that setup are difficult to have their steamrolling stop.

Waterpon is annoying but not a game over when I see it.

Feel free to give me suggestions for how to fix the team, as I would love to improve my team. Golurk is the feature mon (and my favorite) so it is not going anywhere, but feel free to change the set. Thank you for reading and rating!
