Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

UU: seraphz vs Micciu - i expect this game to be a very strange case of two shaky teams followed by the loser of it claiming that this tier is actually bad.
RU: FlamPoke vs LBN - I do not think i have seen FlamPoke win a game of NDRU

TL;DR
- Weaviles have a very comfortable week against the Mafia, possibly some upsets can happen (I particularly think Aso could beat Luthier after seeing what happened with luaanfps vs. Stareal) but outside of that, shouldn't be hard.
- Pheonixes and Absols have a close week but Absols take the win, the best matches this week come out of most of their series so I'd stay tuned for them. Tuthur vs. Separation will be nice to see.
- Despite Slowpoke Fan hitting a counter-ratio (quite overblown), The Slowpokes will be matched evenly here this week, most likely. Tying with the Basculegions was neat to see, but I need to see more consistent results in order for me to believe in some of their slots.
- Axzel has DMed me twice to bold against him. Why did he do this? I don't know. Make sure to spam his DMs as a consequence.

Wealthy Weaviles (7) vs (3) Main Event Mafia
SV Ubers: Taka vs Swas [45 / 55] - Based on last week, Taka seemed to have some mistakes happen both in the builder and in the game, and him facing someone who's been doing quite fine in the tier and consistently playing can definitely cause a slip-up. However, one bad game won't break his spirit so it's not an overwhelming bold against him and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins.
SV OU: dunoks vs Kayzn [40 / 60] - Uncle P's got a surprise for Kayzn this week; it'll be the push he needs to win this game. It will probably be a good fight to see, the guy who has the better team will win.
SV OU: sealoo vs Xurkiyee [55 / 45] - A very solid game and a highlight MU; not going to explain much about two well-known players but the advantage I think sealoo has over Xurkiyee is more general success in tournaments.
SV OU: hellom vs Rasche [70 / 30] - Rasche having to fight hellom with sealoo prep is very intmidating. Don't think I have many hopes for an upset here or anything, just an expectation for hellom to win.
SV UU: Axzel vs mrfraud [52 / 48] - sealoo prep strikes again in this slot giving Mr. Top 500 Lucio a slight advantage over my beloved NDBD champion mrfraud. If mrfraud brings something better than his opponent, he'll probably win.
SV RU: Micaiah vs Danbear02 [60 / 40] - Expecting a good match here but Micaiah is just too strong in this pool for me to bold him against anyone, even Dan. If he loses it'll be surprising but he'll probably go x-1/x-2, this being the one of the losses.
SV DOU: Terekusai vs Kunal [51 / 49] - From what I've heard about Kunal and his effort into the tour doesn't make me think he'll win against someone more dedicated and on a similar playing level. It's going to be extremely close, but Terekusai will probably clutch.
SV Monotype: Lacks vs feen [35 / 65] - Kind of strange matchup, so I'll just favor the guy who plays more. Not much else to think. Perhaps the NDMPL and MFPL champion on the team will supply Lacks with the sauce? Much to think about.
SS OU: Luthier vs Aso [65 / 35] - While Luthier is the best SS slot in the tour, Aso is due for more showings and if this were to be an upset, I'd be more happy about that. Objectively, though, it's a pretty simple fight with a somewhat simple outcome.
SS OU: ZDen vs jscurf [55 / 45] - Determination is a big factor, and while ZDen has the advantage on paper you can't doubt the dreams of an individual...

Galarian Phoenix (3) vs (6) Always Midnight Absols
SV Ubers: emoxu9 vs DripLegend [85 / 15] - Pretty lopsided here; but the facts can't deny that emoxu9 is a titan in this tier to face and it's hard to even think of an upset to happen.
SV OU: ojr vs Nashrock [49 / 51] - Nashrock has been training in the mountains and I have faith for him to get a good streak going. Putting it on my buddy here...my chips are a bit tipsy though.
SV OU: Tuthur vs Separation [40 / 60] - Tuthur has had a great NDWC run while being fed teams and will likely continue to succeed following the procedures he's been running with in the tier. However, Separation not only combines great skill but good building as well. For the aforementioned reasons, I give Separation an advantage here, but it will be a close and engaging fight.
SV OU: entrocefalo vs Kyo [55 / 45] - Sleepy Kyo's back in the office but entro's got a plan to make the Pheonixes great again...stay tuned for this fight. It'll be interesting.
UU: seraphz vs Micciu [30 / 70] - The UU department at the Pheonixes leaves a lot to be desired based on what we saw last week; my sources have confirmed that Seth is getting into the lab to help, but I'm quite unsure if that'll make an impact. Micciu has better builder knowledge and experience so I favor him highly here.
RU: FlamPoke vs LBN [25 / 75] - FlamPoke just has it really rough in the tier, but I'm sure he'll get a win or two. Against LBN? Not too sure about that; but upsets can always happen. As I said above, Seth's getting in the department more so he better work overtime here!
SV DOU: Farfromani vs Akaru Kokuyo [30 / 70] - EatFoods praises this individual a lot and she's rarely wrong about Doubles players. Except herself. Besides that, think this is a relatively good MU for Akaru. They'll probably get a good record this tour as well.
SV Monotype: crash vs Sunnyboi0 [50 / 50] - Mr. A double S is back in action yet at the same time back-to-back-to-back NDMPL winner Sunnyboi is also got a nice win last week. It's hard for me to decide when I respect both players quite a lot in the tier, will be a fight I'll be tuned into this week.
SS OU: devin vs One Last Kiss [45 / 55] - Tripping on your feet on the first week is either a sign you're making it big, or a sign you're going to be shaky throughout the tour. I don't doubt someone as strong as devin at all but OLK + Isza is a core I'll lean towards more than devin + Ryuji / fififlutters. Definitely can go the other way.
SS OU: lolebruh vs 3cho [65 / 35] - The echos in my head tell me this battle will be a LOL(e) for our bruh on the Pheonixes! Upset potential here is a little larger than usual I'll say; beating MDP is a good feat.


Vice City Victinis (6) vs (4) Pearl River Slowpokes
SV Ubers: Remnonc vs Splendid Silver Star [49 / 51] - If you're on a team with Rem and you wonder why #likewhore always has new messages, it's genuinely just them winning so much. The skill difference here is something I can't really determine, so I'll go off dedication here and bold SSS by a tiny edge. This can go the other way easily, though.
SV OU: 1yr vs Ado [55 / 45] - 1 win for 1yr.
SV OU: chansey and lulu vs avarice [45 / 55] - I don't think both are really tapped into the tournament but I'll take avarice piloting here more, but 1yr support is better, saving chansey and lulu some points here.
SV OU: Mada vs Leroipolux1 [85 / 15] - Leroi dissed sealoo one time and that made him have some aura. However, dissing 1yr and having an innate disadvantage over his strongest SV player leaves a lot for him to gamble. Will the ultimate upset happen? I don't see it much.
SV UU: Elfuseon vs cloudu0 [55 / 45] - Cloud beating Iride was set the stage for them well, but I want to see them do a little bit more body catching before I can comfortably bold them in their slot. This'll be close, IMO.
SV RU: salmonelephant vs LB [67 / 33] - LB + DB is one of the greatest NDRU we'll have the privilege of witnessing in NDPL history, but salmon poses a major threat to our beloved king and soldier. Coming off of a pretty hot Grand Slam win is a major factor too, so I give the Runo of the future the bold.
SV DOU: Voltix vs SeaLife [60 / 40] - The more consistent player, I believe? Not too sure here. Can go the other way, but it depends on what's loaded.
SV Monotype: Tarre25 vs Ashbala [55 / 45] - Close one, probably.
SS OU: Darkness 789 vs Stareal [40 / 60] - Darkness could catch a solid upset here, but the facts don't like about Stareal being pretty strong in the tier. If luaan could hit a lick, I don't doubt Dark as I previously said.
SS OU: MemphisDepay vs yonmd [49 / 51] - Depends on yonmd's behavior, and let's just say a full moon has been coming out recently. The beast may be coming soon...and MDP may not be able to tame it.

First week was good, going to expect more out of this one since the water's been tested and most teams are ready to lock in. Stay focused, don't cause any drama, and have a good time. Let's go GoGoats!
