Hello everyone and welcome to the Smogon VGC Circuit Playoffs! After a year-long circuit with two seasonals, a ladder tournament, a Swiss tournament, and an insanely hype single elimination last chance qualifier, we have reached the final phase: a single elimination, 16 participant playoff bracket in order to determine who will take home the VGC Circuit Champion Ribbon and Custom Avatar prizes!

One note to the players, I did promise that each player would have a playercard to represent their circuit achievements, but I wasn't able to get them in time for the round to be posted, though I do still intend to get them posted during the week. Please forgive me for the delay with these. With that said, here are your pairings!!

As a reminder, this is a Single Elimination Regulation H tournament played in Open Team Sheet Best of Three. You are allowed to change teams between rounds.
The deadline for Round 1 is September 21st @ 10:00 PM GMT-4. You may ask me for an extension if you need it due to scheduling conflicts. Extensions will not be given for games that do not have a scheduled time, or games where one player fails to show up at the scheduled time.

*Jesuuuus appears higher than Chromate in the sheet because his win in the Swiss tournament put him in the autoqualifier category. However, Chromate has more circuit points than Jesuuuus, which makes them the 5th seed, as point total takes priority for seeding.

SoulboyVGC vs Finabas - really close and difficult choice, soulboy is just incredibly consistent

thacrow vs Cizy - #thathrow

christianfinity vs Code - rn code can't seem to do anything wrong, I think he could easily go all the way

SlycedBread vs Staraptor - another coin toss but I have to go for slyced

Chromate vs MichaelderBeste2 - my 2 favourites for the tour (other then volc ofc) paired r1 </3, in chromate I trust tho

Jesuuuus vs ProssettiVGC - why did we let jesus get this far, I call nepotism ngl

MafuSimp vs masa - haven't really seen much of either player, but I find what i've seen from masa really impressive
