We doing some RU predicts, because fuck it. Excluding breakers spartans for obvious reasons but beyond that, let's make some enemies! No hard feelings for these predicts, most of these are just an excuse to get some jokes off rather than anything serious unless I have something mean to say. Speaking of being mean...

SV RU: Kristyl vs TheFranklin
Coughing baby vs Hydrogen Bomb for yet another week, and last week Krystal put up the worst showing in the pool and that says alot when Eifo timed out on turn 9. Team was straight up garbage, HJK is known for spikes fat so I dont know why fucking Chansey was on the menu in the blissey tier but whatever. I don't want to dog on Krystal too hard because they are a good player in DPP and all but the Dynamos drafted a player who has zero SV games lifetime and had them load a D tier week 1. Loading a D tier isn't necessarily a bad thing, Shengineer's Braviary team was flames. But it's gonna take a legendary ass wooping to be switching gears away from predicting against them every single week, and I just do not think Franklin is going to be losing this after his stellar game last week.

SV RU: robjr vs hjkhj
Now THIS is what the fuck I'm talkin bout. Both of these players put up good showings last week even if HJK coulda won their shit intoxicated. Rob colin was one of the better games last week, (not saying much though, thank god NU had like 50% grassy terrain loadings to catch the heat instead...) and really I could see this going either way. I'm personally very high on hjk, I've played him alot and while I'm less familar w Rob, he's got far more acclaim on the official stage. I don't know why I'm typin all this when I used a coinflip app to choose my pick for this MU but The Jokes Come First.

SV RU: RichardMillePlain vs Colin
Despite cooking richard for marrying tapu leles on mudaebot, I'm quite high on his play. Colin is no slouch, and his game last week was good despite not bringing it home. But what I'm higher on as opposed to both of these, is the Feliburn Puppeteering. Feli is going to make sure richard has the sauce each week and Feli's builds tend to be very comfortable to pilot until he tries gassing shit like mud shot inteleon. So long as he doesn't pass something on that level, I think Richard will be able to pilot his stuff to consistent wins. Colin will put up a great fight, no doubt about that... assuming we don't get another timeout game this week too. Actually I hope we do Eifo if your reading this time out vs Santu it'd be greatly appreciated.

SV RU: Hacker vs ishtar
This one feels a bit unfair, since it's mostly based off results from last week and ishtar loaded HO into a ditto, but I think Hacker is a bit better at RU overall, though this one will probably be a close one assuming we don't see another HO bring gone wrong. Not much to say here, this mu is one I don't rlly care bout compared to the others but I still look forward to seeing what they've got cooking.

SV RU: Santu vs eifo hydrogen bomb vs timeout baby
SV RU: Kristyl vs TheFranklin i no longer trust the flampookie support
SV RU: robjr vs hjkhj i trust flab and rob to cook up some cteam shit
SV RU: RichardMillePlain vs Colin feliajna ghosting slot going undefeated
SV RU: Hacker vs ishtar hacker got scammed last week and ishtar loaded ho

SV RU: Santu vs eifo - santu is favored bc he just needs to play vs eifo, eifo has to play vs santu AND the clock
SV RU: Kristyl vs TheFranklin:

->
1757958702282.png
+didnt tera
SV RU: robjr vs hjkhj - i would go with robjr and do the beast east thing again but hjk is actually too fire
SV RU: RichardMillePlain vs Colin - the attribute beatdown to close last week has debuffed the entire gibles squad maybe for the entire szn
SV RU: Hacker vs ishtar - lctl vs fputl but hacker gets the buff for being part of by far the most interesting ru game last week

UU Analysis + Predicts | Week 1: 3-1

JustFranco vs Punny
- Last week, Punny cooked in true Punny fashion. Sadly, he got outcooked by pdt and slightly outplayed. Franco also cooked in true Franco fashion (shoutout Espeon) and won favorably. Franco has been nothing but impressive recently and has more reps than Punny. It feels weird predicting 0-2 Punny, but literally anything is possible in this matchup. Watch me be wrong again.

Eternal Spirit vs Fogbound Lake
- I have nothing nice to say about Gama's performance last week. He brought an absolutely dogshit team, played poorly, and then told his opponent to "eat shit" for no reason. I literally don't know what outcome he expected when he brought an Altaria (presumably as a Heatran check???- when Slowking exists), no tools for HO (in a metagame littered with it), and Jirachi as his speed control (if it was Scarf). If being worse than your opponent warrants being a dick, everybody's catching strays this tour. Please start Sabella so I can start saying nice things! Fog played well last week but ultimately lost in the builder + got his cornerpon tera soul read by Franco. No specs Gren switch in was too tough to overcome. That learning curve of building the tier will be easy for Fog to overcome with the support that he has.

Mimilucha vs zS
- Mimi got lucked last week. However, I think he also choked by not attacking the Thundurus with Metagross and, because the Thundurus plotted first, either attacking again on the Agility or rko'ing with Keldeo on the tbolt. He didn't take that route and missed, got flinched, failed to poison the Thundy on 5 hits from a Fez, and lost. I think the hax was avoidable, so I don't really find this game to be fully out of Mimi's control. We didn't really get to see a true debut from zS last week because he was handed a win on a golden platter. He made the smart decision by bringing screens webs vs Gama, but that's really all we got. I'm predicing zS purely on the basis that he is the better player with more results in major tours. It will be exciting to see both of these players get a real game and what I would call a true debut in this tour.

pdt vs Sacri'
- The minute I saw weakness policy active on pdt's slowking, I regretted predicting against him. He's hot from UU Open and very likely on his way to topping the pool. Sacri's debut was unimpressive and seems to have defied everyone's expectations that he would perform better than crying (take the L, haters). I think Sacri had opportunities to make plays and didn't + lost in the builder. Coming off a loss to the player many people said was the weakest in the pool and being up against a player many say is the strongest in the pool is going to be difficult to overcome. That being said, Sacri is still an incredibly good player with a long history of success in the tier. Don't mistake my take for being a hater. He can succeed in this pool, it's just going to be hard.

SV OU: GXE vs Attribute
SV OU: Kebab mlml vs DAHLI
SV OU: ABR vs Separation - sheist matchup. Separation has been killing it recently and ABR will be loading at least two fat mons. Should be good to watch

Power Plant Dynamos (0) vs (0) Mt. Silver Foxes
SV OU: Pkel SweeTforU vs Foolycl
SV OU: Niko vs Stareal - both of these guys hate tera so in both of their best interests they should just both load HO and finish the game as quickly as possible. Niko's ceiling with HO is pretty high.
SV OU: fakenagol vs SOULWIND

Indigo Platoon (0) vs (0) Showdown Shoguns
SV OU: Fusien vs Mako
SV OU: JJ09LIE vs 3d
SV OU: bhkg vs Baddy - they're saying they put Baddy in the Shoguns time chamber

Studio Gible (0) vs (0) Orange Islanders
SV OU: Star vs hellom
SV OU: Finchinator vs Ewin
SV OU: TJ vs kDCA - I have to stand by my W1 prediction and say kDCA will be popping off this season

Uncharted Terrors (0) vs (0) Technical Machines
SV OU: oldspicemike vs clean
SV OU: heileone vs Hiko - I'm a heileone2 believer but they have yet to record a sheet win iirc. Hope it works out; if not, please put Rumble in and that guy will probably cook
SV OU: TDNT vs leng loi

go breakers and sorry lolo i love u
4-1 on predicts so far woooo

SV PU: MZ vs Void - in the prep aspect of things this is essentially mz vs dugza. two accomplished pu players who after being in the same circles and being on the same pupl team know each other's team styles very intimately, so it'll be interesting to see what gets cooked up here, the 4d chess of prepping against someone you know is always cool. i think on raw clicking void is the better player but i think mz will have more intimate knowledge of his team and clearly knows the tier better, and based on last week i think that will carry him to a win

SV PU: Jytcampbell vs avarice - really tough para for avarice last week that ended up costing a lot of momentum and made him unable to keep up with drud's defensive core, hex glare dundun was also a pretty tough matchup. jyt kinda tossed with a weird tera and if he didn't tera the hitmonlee he probably won on the spot. i don't think he'll make a mistake like that again but considering the circumstances of both losses i'm gonna go with dillon

SV PU: kyuss vs mind gaming - kyuss didn't play last week and mind showed the fuck up, not really too hard of a choice :(

SV PU: Gilbert arenas vs MichaelderBeste2 - whoever made that team for gibles last week was COOKING, unfortunate we didn't get to see much of it since void brought terrain but the centerpiece of curse cloak bombird was really admirable and performed extremely well. while i have faith in michael, we didn't get to see him play last week, so i'll be bolding based on what we've seen.

SV PU: Drud vs LpZ - lpz got a good matchup into mz's wacky little squad that unfortunately could not do anything to keep up with ambipom. drud played his game well, but the para on bruxish definitely did help him to wall avarice out. the pu avengers of prep on the terrors seem to not be collapsing in on themselves yet, so i'll give applause where it's due. dunno how involved lpz is with his prep? could just be hex/ishtar working on stuff down there. hiko definitely ain't building. i think this will definitely be a pressure point for both of these players' seasons overall, really interested to see what happens.

predicts aren't gonna be their own separate video, but we will be streaming them instead around like 6-7 pm pst every monday (hopefully), so this will be the only time I link em in this thread. as always, just yapping so don't take anything personal . podcast style
