Needs Triage Bug Report - Teambuilder

What type of bug are you reporting? Teambuilder

What is the bug?
Certain Hidden power types are using the wrong IVs in teambuilder.

Example: Hidden power fighting and Ground users with no physical attacks are using 1 in attack, when it should be 0, as the attack IV does not affect the HP type for these types.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes, I am able to replicate it, in game, XY. Hidden power checker says my Hidden power types can be Ground and Fighting types without the attack IV. (Inputted through modding)

I tried HP Ground in Gen 6 with no other moves and it lets me select all of these options. I don't understand what you are claiming is a bug. Both 31/0/31/30/30/31 and 31/1/31/30/30/31 are valid HP Ground IVs, and Showdown correctly allows both of them.

Did you not read my post? If I use a 0 attack IV, that SHOULD be the default for those when I have no physical moves.

I know 1 IV may not seem like a big deal to somebody like... you, but that 1 IV COULD be a deciding factor for damage from Foul Play or Confusion!

I read your post several times and I am still not sure what you are saying is the bug. You do not have to be condescending to me. I did not challenge why 1 attack might be worse than 0 attack.

I am simply saying: It is not clear to me what part of it is a bug, which you said was the default being set incorrectly.

If you want to be super clear, what are you doing on Showdown exactly to cause the default to be wrong?

Okay, I was able to figure out how the OP is having this problem.

Essentially, if you set a move as HP Ground/Fighting on a Pokémon that doesn't need the attack IVs, and Showdown automatically changes the IVs, the suboptimal 1 attack version is selected. The better 0 attack version should be preferred.

Here's a video of it happening in Gen 6.
