I'll make a quick review post while waiting for the next slate. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with our three winners for this slate, and I think they'll all do very well in establishing a proper meta that we can build off of. They all have their different playstyles and niches to play around with. I also like that they all actually are able to beat each other just like in your standard starter triangle.

Silverade
An interesting Grass-type attacker with RKS Tech since it can match with a Memory to boost whatever type it wants. I like this since it can mix and match the Memory its holding to threaten different types of mons. It's got a lot of cool stuff too, like fast hazards and some very respectable coverage. It expectedly loses to Tinkascorch, as it's immune to Flamethrower with Magma Purge and resists almost all its coverage moves. Silverade can opt for Surf if you want that for some reason, but even then, it doesn't even consistently 2HKO a maxed SpDef invested Tinkascorch. Overall, I like it.

What can I say? This is my baby. Fire Lash on this mon goes hard and can passively threaten every mon it goes up against, especially combined with Knock Off. Gigaton Hammer is also an excellent STAB move that can chunk for a lot of damage even without investment. The combination of these three moves means you don't even need to run any attack investment and instead dedicate it all to bulk. You've also got Stealth Rock for hazards and Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp to cripple opposing attackers. Expectedly loses to Quaxtina, but even so Quax needs to be wary of any stray Knock Offs or Fire Lashes that can potentially cripple it and leave it wide open to KOes.

Quaxtina-Origin
A strong Water-type mon that has some insane role compression. It's a spinblocker on top of a utility mon, on top of having reliable recovery and a good type. What's not to like? It's sort of a jack-of-all-trades that can spec into a lot of different sets and roles depending on what your team wants. It's just solid all around, but I expect it to spec more into a defensive role over time, given its access to Roost and Defog and solid bulk. Loses to Silverade, as Silverade outspeeds and can deal heavy damage to Quaxtina, meanwhile still resisting its Water STAB and is immune to its Ghost STAB.
 
SLATE 2

SET 1
- The fusion's Sp. Atk must be between 85-95, their Attack must be between 65-75 and their Sp. Def must be between 115-125.
- The fusion should want to run the move First Impression.
- One of the fusion's abilities should have Sharpness as a component.
- The fusion must have Fire as one of its types.

- The fusion must viably use a pivoting move.

Role Justification: Wallbreaker, for when we eventually get walls; it's surprisingly a little tanky too. You can click Swords Dance and pretty much just annihilate things with Sharpness-boosted Psycho Cuts. However, this Pokemon is pretty slow, and it has a terrible typing, so it might need some support to be brought in safely. Choice Band is an option to boost your already-insane Psycho Cuts and X-Scissors, though you can also run HDB as a way to facilitate its weakness to Stealth Rocks. Bulk Up is also an option to give Gallapod a physical bulk boost, and just in case you don't want to be risky with SD.

Role Justification: One trick pony that does its job very well. With the Eviolite, its bulk becomes great, allowing it to tank hits from other fusions, and it can also possibly retaliate with strong moves of its own, such as Analytic-boosted Thunderbolts and Tri Attacks, as well as a strong slow pivot game with Volt Switch. It also has a few other coverage moves, in case if you want to mess with those, and Recover as a standard recovery move. However, it basically requires the Eviolite to function, locking you out of other item options, but it can still be very strong regardless.

Like many things with Infernape’s toolset, this is an everymon. Slap on Veil, Rocks, and U-Turn and you have a good pivot lead. Lean into both offenses for pressure, or opt for one offensive stat with SD or NP to be a sweeper. If the meta stays around this mon’s power level it would be quite hard for Vanillape to fall out of every possible niche it could fill.

Role Justification: Critting on the first turn you enter the field, especially with an already pretty good attack stat means you force switches incredibly easy. You can also act as a good revenge killer with QA if you can fit it on, and your ability to force switches allows you to use Roost to great effect. However, Quaxtina and Tinkascorch either resist both of your STABs or are immune to one of them, although Tinkascorch absolutely fears Drill Run. Generally, your mediocre typing and stats both keep you in check, as 100 is not blazingly fast speed wise and scarf is very difficult to fit on a mon which is rock weak and frail.

This also can run a set up set but it lacks immediate power, leaving it vulnerable early on. I think pivot sets are the way to go here. Can opt to run specs too. Main things holding this back is its inherent lack of immediate power, meaning it can invite bulky threats in.

Role Justification: Magnemie acts as a bulky defensive or offensive pivot with excellent offenses backed up by Analytic. It can utilize Recover + Teleport and/or Rapid Spin to act as a defensive hazard remover who isn't passive, especially with STAB boosted Analytic, or it can run a Choice Scarf or Choice Specs set with Trick and force out switches to deal massive damage with its coverage moves. Both sets can also be customized to add reliable recovery in Recover, which aids in Magnemie's longevity. Steel/Psychic is also a solid enough defensive typing without being too overbearing.

Intended Role: Fast Pivot, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: The quintessential fast pivot mon that any meta so desires, this time with a bit of an interesting twist. Using Tapu Koko as one of the components, Electric Surge would be inevitable. However, just giving this mon free Electric Terrain was a bit uninteresting, so instead the mon is now designed with a specific playstyle in mind. With Triggered Discharge, you now have to work to get your Electric Terrain. Once you switch Tapu Evul against a threat, it suddenly becomes a game of chicken to see who gets switched out first. If you gauge the matchup correctly, you can force your opponent to switch out and you get your terrain. If you gauge incorrectly however and realize your Tapu Evul isn't enough to force a switch, then you not only lost momentum but your opponent gets a free move in. Aside from just this, Tapu Evul just does your standard pivot stuff. It's got both U-turn and Volt Switch, Koff to force progress, Roost and Parting Shot, and even a fast Taunt as well. It can even act as it's own Koff absorber with Psychic Assassin and Unburden, and you can even try and run a Nasty Plot set if you're feeling brave.

Role Justification: While this Pokemon will primarily be holding Heavy Duty Boots, this will not be holding it back. That means that this Pokemon can safely come in and use Court Change without becoming a Normal type. Its moves like FImp and Pyro Ball will always be great, alongside great coverage such as Knock Off, Iron Head, or Axe Kick. Building sets for this Pokemon should be interesting, as you could potentially use a Not Very Effective move offensively in order to give you a defensive answer to the move your opponent choses to go for.

Role Justification: While the obvious approach for a Zamazenta set is to run Scrappy Body Press, there are multiple sets available to you with these stats and moves. Not only is an unexpected Specs set with Scrappy Boomburst available to you, but it has enough attack and a diverse enough movepool to be banded as well. While not nearly as bulky as classic Zamazenta, the access to recovery in Roost should give it a bit more longevity than its component, while also using its Speed to be faster than a lot of threats and pivot out safely with U-Turn.
