  • Follow all general tournament rules.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

Doom Desire Jirachis (0) vs (2) Thunderstorm Titans

2v2 (Bo5): srvoltmike vs Smudge
This matchup is really interesting to me, most people would think that Mike is heavily favored here having 2v2 experience and recently being drafted into SCL, but I think Smudge is actually favored here, he’s been getting unlucky in his recent Doubles tours, but here the amount of RNG is a lot lower so I think he is favored with his consistency as a player. With Mike’s moderately underwhelming performance in UMBD I think that he can still pull through with the win if he actively preps with Hugo, Razachu and Despacito supporting his slot.

2v2 (Bo5): Hugo vs yuki
Not much to say here, both are strong players in their own right and both are doubles mainstays. Hugo is definitely a great opponent into Yuki, but it’s hard to predict against her with her greater 2v2 experience and Hugo not doing the greatest in UMBD. I’m very excited for the matchup and can’t wait to see what gets brought.

2v2 (Bo5): Blanched vs trace
Blanched is on a strong streak recently and has a lot more experience in 1v1 and 2v2 which can correlate with each other a lot. Trace is still a good player, so the match is in the air, but I think Blanched is favored here.

2v2 (Bo5): Arcanine1929 vs TGK
These are my goats so I’m not gonna go in depth, but I think Arcanine has the slight edge in this matchup.

United Kingdras (0) vs (2) Oblivion Ambers

2v2 (Bo5): Evie vs fake tom numbers
Highlight matchup for the week, both players are great but Tom is my goat and I think he is a lot more motivated to play this tour than Evie so I have to bold him. Expecting this matchup to have a few fun mons and be great to commentate.

2v2 (Bo5): bern vs happysh
This is probably the closest skill level matchup of the week, so I’m really excited for happy to bring the Wo-Chien stall :pleading: I think happy will pull through, but this match is up for grabs by either player. bern is a really strong opponent so I’m expecting a lot from this matchup.
 
1v1 (Bo7): LongRat vs gorilaa : I love my boy longrat but gorilaa is just more experienced and knows sv even if it havn't been seen recently

NFE: The Strap vs 5Dots - The Strap never played SV in a tournament, and going against 5Dots for your first game in the tier is not an easy task. I also don't know who's gonna support them because ojr didn't play the tier since last year to my knowledge and methmaster didn't have the opportunity yet to establish themself as a good NFE builder imo. 5Dots is a top NFE player, he's very involved in the tier and always looks for some innovation which makes him quite unpredictable nowadays. 40/60
NFE: Kingler vs TTK - Kingler just won the seasonal last week, he's a good player and i believe he will outplay TTK, but as i said above, the lack of support in this team could become a huge issue pretty quickly if they can't find a buildstyle convenient for them. I don't think Kingler built any team despite winning the seasonal. They will still end up with a team tho and i believe they'll still manage to win against TTK. TTK is good but i just think Kingler's win in the seasonal makes him more of a contender for victory considering he didn't know the tier before. TTK gotta win the game in the prep imo. 55/45

NFE: Horii vs Mirbro - Both really good players, this will be a fun game to watch for sure. Predicting Horii to win, i feel like it's Horii's time to go crazy in this tier and to win everything but Mirbro is def someone to not underestimate. Both great builders that are not afraid to innovate, at this point they know the tier very well, i expect a lot from both. 55/45
NFE: Ivar57 vs Shing - Shing is a NFE Veteran, he's had bad times with SV and didn't like the generation but he's coming back with the new meta, probably for our worst nightmare. Shing is gonna try to find some of the nichest strat to fuck the tier up and that makes him completely unpredictable. Ivar is good, if i remember correctly he did good in the last NFEPL which was not long ago but idk if he can build on his own and will have to defeat a top NFE player right away which i don't really see happening for now. 25/75

NFE: Nakoruru_XD vs vooper - I am very confused as the choice of the starters from Mane Remover. They had Nashrock & Lyna who are both experienced with the tier but decided to bench both of them for 2 players who never touched the tier? Weird. Anyway i don't know vooper, never saw his name so can't really predict him to win. Nakoruru is pretty recent, did fine in NFEPL iirc, not an established player yet but i remember him being fine. With Dragonillis's support i think Nakoruru should win this. 80/20
NFE: Dragonillis vs Terracotta - Terracotta is someone i've seen before in ZU and they're good iirc, but NFE is a completely different tier, and they're going into a big boss week 1. Dragonillis is one of the best NFE player, proved himself countless times at this point i really expect him to perform well in this tournament. I don't think this game is gonna be close at all to be honest, if Terracotta wins this is gonna be the craziest upset of the whole tournament in NFE probably. 95/5

NFE: Ivar57 vs Shing - Shing will have some revelation about the tier and begin a x-0 run or smth. This will be a fun game.

NFE: Nakoruru_XD vs vooper - I cannot recall the last time vooper touched NFE, they've seemed to have moved on to the little leagues as I see them playing NDLC or smth and Nakoruru had a good record in NFEPL. Don't sleep on vooper though.
