how can I convince my school Pokemon showdown is educational

just use some L*nkedIn words to describe showdown stuff like

predictions and hax= risk management
thinking of sacking off mons or keeping them= future planning
randbats = adaptability
using surging strikes on rocky helmet ferrothorn and not killing yourself= mental health management
fire blasting a ferrothorn on switch in= mental wellness
telling people to like your posts on smogoff= digital marketing
c&c= language skills
hope this helps :pimp:

teambuilding for a metagame = problem solving
playing well = thinking ahead, critical thinking, quick thinking
telling the 1100 elo gen 9 ag player that their team of 5 annihlapes and 1 maushold is bad and you did not in fact win through luck = social skills
cap project discussion = creativity, thinking outside the box

Imagine the unfortunate speech with word replacements like these

"Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe my series, this game can be incredibly unlucky sometimes, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with my opponent having to sadly reschedule and forgetting to provide confirmation prior to the day of the match as to play times, losing this way somehow felt a great deal worse than I had ever thought possible. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I lost, so I don't personally see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within my control can be overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.

I am, sadly, done with competitive Pokemon, and while I am extremely irritated right now I will try my best to be as respectful as possible. This community contains quite a few individuals who I do not consider constructive or positive influences. Tournaments used to have a competitive spirit at their heart, but to me it seems that this has been replaced by a great deal of toxicity from disrespectful individuals that make the environment a pain for me to continue being a part of. I think the community we fostered has trapped us all like this in some form of a vicious cycle, and escaping it may require acceptance that none of the countless, educational efforts we put ourselves through here will ever amount to one single shining glimmer of significance. I would make this the end, but World Cup is still ongoing, and I would never leave so many great friends out to dry, so I'll power through a few more games for them.

One last thing before I leave you all to respond with interest, constructive criticism, and differing points of view, before you do everything in your power to provide counterarguments to my points, disagree respectfully or choose not to engage, and decide that there are other things you'd rather spend your time on right now. From this moment on, I do not agree with any of you on this matter. The strongest points you hurl with intent to disprove will calmly settle at the earth before my feet, and the carefully crafted arguments you create will contain all the potency of a warm summer breeze. You are more incorrect than any of you could ever conceive, while I carry on, brimming with joy distilled from disagreement.
