VGC Hidden Gem (Loaded Dice Baxcalibur) [GP 1/1]

[SET]
Bulky Sweeper (Baxcalibur) @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 20 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 28 SpD / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Scale Shot
- Protect
- Ice Shard / High Horsepower

[SET COMMENTS]
- Baxcalibur is a powerful attacker within the metagame, leveraging its immense Attack and powerful STAB moves to deal massive damage to foes, especially Rillaboom, Dragonite, and Ursaluna.
- Scale Shot is integral to Baxcalibur's strength, as when paired with Loaded Dice, it's a consistent STAB move that OHKOes Sneasler through Focus Sash while letting Baxcalibur outspeed many common foes, including Whimsicott and Sneasler. Icicle Spear also exploits Loaded Dice to act as a powerful multi-hit STAB option that can hit the many common Grass-, Ground-, and Flying-types in the metagame, such as Amoonguss, Rillaboom, Garchomp, and Dragonite.
- Ice Shard is a powerful priority option that can finish off low-HP foes, such as Sneasler and Pelipper after being brought down to Focus Sash. High Horsepower can be used to hit Steel-types such as Gholdengo and Kingambit while also super effectively hitting Incineroar.
- Loaded Dice allows Baxcalibur's Scale Shot and Icicle Spear to be consistently powerful damage options while letting it KO Focus Sash users, such as Sneasler, Indeedee-M, and Tatsugiri.
- Tera Ghost grants Baxcalibur an immunity to Fighting-type attacks, most notably Close Combat from Sneasler, and Fake Out from Incineroar and Rillaboom as well as Facade from Ursaluna.
- The Speed investment allows you Baxcalibur to outspeed Adamant Dragonite, while maximum Attack investment is crucial for guaranteeing the OHKO on Sneasler with Scale Shot or Icicle Spear. The defensive investment allows it to survive Eruption from Modest Choice Specs Hisuian Typhlosion and a +2 Body Press from Archaludon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Teambuilding
============
- Baxcalibur works best on predominantly physically offensive teams, which take advantage of Fake Out utility, Defiant Pokemon, and methods of setting up to overwhelm the foe.
- Rillaboom synergizes with Baxcalibur, as it is able to threaten Water-types, most notably Primarina, as well as bolstering Baxcalibur's field presence with Fake Out and Grassy Terrain healing. In return, Baxcalibur pressures Grass-, Flying-, and Dragon-types like Sinistcha and Dragonite.
- Sneasler also pairs amazingly with Baxcalibur; Sneasler's most notable trait is the ability to boost Baxcalibur's offensive and defensive capabilities with Coaching, allowing it to potentially sweep entire teams. Furthermore, Sneasler can hit Steel- and Fairy-types like Kingambit and Alolan Ninetales, while Baxcalibur can threaten the Flying-types that check Sneasler, like Dragonite.
- Redirection from partners like Volcarona and Electabuzz can protect Baxcalibur from foes that threaten it, allowing for it to safely output damage, while in return, Baxcalibur hits the Grass-types immune to Rage Powder and the Flying- and Ground-types that threaten Volcarona and Electabuzz, respectively.
- Baxcalibur really struggles against Steel-types such as Kingambit and Gholdengo, which resist its STAB combination while threatening it back. The aforementioned Sneasler helps against Kingambit, while an ally Kingambit can handle Gholdengo. Intimidate from Incineroar and Hisuian Arcanine is also problematic, as it greatly weakens Baxcalibur's damage output; partners like Kingambit can punish Intimidate, while special attackers like Primarina can threaten both Pokemon without being weakened by it.

Strategy Comments
============
- Baxcalibur functions primarily as a bulky physical sweeper, using powerful STAB moves to break through opposing teams while taking many hits in return. It shines early-game by weakening teams such that its partners can clean up easily; it's especially great against balance compositions with Rillaboom and Dragonite and rain teams once opposing Archaludon have been sufficiently weakened. It leverages its immense damage output to outshine other similar attackers like Dragonite against bulkier teams, while Thermal Exchange's burn immunity is crucial against Will-O-Wisp Magmar and Volcarona, which can be very problematic for other physical attackers.
- As aforementioned, Baxcalibur functions best early-game, using its massive damage to weaken the opposing team such that it can enable its teammates to clean, and it can sweep on its own with Coaching support from Sneasler. It is best used early-game when the opponent's team struggles to KO Baxcalibur, whereas in other matchups, KOing threatening foes like Sneasler and Gholdengo before bringing it in to clean late-game is better.
- Gholdengo is the most notable counter to Baxcalibur, resisting its STAB moves and dealing massive damage back, as does Kingambit. Stamina Archaludon also easily takes Baxcalibur's multi-hit attacks while accumulating Defense boosts to retaliate with Body Press. Use partners that can threaten these foes like your own Kingambit and Sneasler to OHKO them or force Terastallization into a typing that allows Baxcalibur to OHKO them. Sneasler can outspeed Baxcalibur and OHKO it with Close Combat, so either Terastallizing it to avoid Close Combat and KO Sneasler with Icicle Spear or using other partners like Gholdengo to threaten the foe is vital.

- Baxcalibur is a powerful attacker within the metagame, leveraging its immense attack and powerful STAB moves to deal massive damage to foes, notably hitting common threats in Rillaboom, Dragonite and Ursaluna for super effective damage, whilst taking many attacks in return. (elaborate or remove)
- Scale Shot is integral to Baxcalibur's strength within the meta, as when paired with Loaded Dice it deals consistent and extremely powerful STAB damage, being able to OHKO Sneasler through Focus Sash, whilst boosting its speed and allowing it to outspeed many common foes, namely Whimsicott and unboosted Sneasler. (Separate each move into its own bullet here so that you don't have clumpy paragraphs)
- Icicle Spear also abuses Loaded Dice to provide a powerful multi-hit STAB option, which can hit the many common Grass- and Dragon-Types that populate the metagame, such as Garchomp and Rillaboom.
- Ice Shard allows for a powerful priority option that can finish off low HP foes, as well as KOing Sneasler and Pelipper brought down to Focus Sash. High Horsepower can be used to hit the Steel-Types that resist Baxcalibur's STAB combo such as Gholdengo and Kingambit, whilst also hitting Incineroar for super sffective.
- Loaded Dice allows for Baxcalibur's multihit moves like Scale Shot and Icicle Spear to hit 4-5 times minimum, as well as KOing foes through Focus Sash and Sturdy. (for QC unsure if this mention is necessary) cut or reword the first sentence since it's just dex info, if you want to address OHKOing opposing mons through sash or sturdy be sure to list a few examples!
- Tera Ghost allows for Baxcalibur to have an immunity to the Fighting-Type attacks it was otherwise weak to, most notably Close Combat from Sneasler, whilst also providing an immunity to Fake Out from Incineroar and Rillaboom, as well as Facade from Ursaluna.
- Maximum Attack investment is crucial for guaranteeing the OHKO on Sneasler, whilst the defensive investment allows for Baxcalibur to survive Make It Rain from standard Gholdengo (standard gholdengo being...?) the majority of the time, a +1 Archaludon Body Press, and or a 150 BP Last Respects from Life Orb Basculegion.

Teambuilding
============
- Baxcalibur greatly appreciates offensive enablers that help bolster its offensive capabilities (bit of a nothing burger sentence, i'd recommend merging it with the second sentence and/or rewording a bit). It notably appreciates Fake Out support as to allow it to safely output immense damage, whilst it also greatly benefits from Defiant users, such as Kingambit and Annihilape. The nature of Baxcalibur's play means it works best on balance teams that lean towards predominantly physical offense. (really not too sure how to tackle this section, lmk what I did wrong) you mention that it works best on balance teams yet don't really mention any common balance mons here that it particularly appreciates. focus on this: "what teammates can support it by providing speed control, redirection, or wallbreaking support?". essentially, who appreciates the offensive utility Bax brings to the table?
- Rillaboom pairs amazing with Baxcalibur, as Rillaboom is able to hit the Water-Types that can resist Baxcalibur's Ice-type moves Stab, most notably Primarina, as well as enabling Baxcalibur's offense with Fake Out and Grassy Terrain healing to keep it healthy. In return, Baxcalibur hits the Grass- and Dragon-Types that resist Rillaboom's Grass STABs like Sinistcha and Dragapult. Sneasler also pairs amazingly with Baxcalibur, most notably through its ability to use Coaching to boost Baxcalibur's offensive and defensive capabilities, allowing it potential to sweep entire teams. Further, Sneasler can hit the Steel- and Fairy-Types that can resist Baxcalibur's STABs moves, like Kingambit and Ninetales-A, whilst Baxcalibur can threaten the Flying-Types that check Sneasler, like Dragonite.
- Baxcalibur really struggles against Steel-Types, such as Kingambit and Gholdengo, that resist its STAB combination whilst threatening it back for super effective damage, the aforementioned Sneasler helps verse Kingambit, whilst Kingambit itself can handle opposing Gholdengo. Intimidate from Incineroar and Arcanine-H is also problematic as it helps to greatly weaken Baxcalibur's damage output, but partners like Kingambit and Annihilape can punish opposing Intimidate, whilst special threats like Primarina can threaten both mons without being weakened by Intimidate.

It shines in late games verse weakened teams where it can clean up easily, which can be achieved through using its partners to weaken foes throughout the early and midgame. (this feels a little vague, what kind of teams can it clean up easily, what matchups does dice bax thrive in, and when & how do you use baxcaliber over any other similar physical attacker?)
- As before mentioned, Baxcalibur functions best as a late game cleaner, but it can also be used to great success in the early game, using its massive damage to weaken the opposing team such that it can support its teammates to clean, and can sweep on its own with Coaching support from partner Sneasler or Annihilape. Verse match ups where the opponent struggles to easily KO Baxcalibur, it is best used in the early game, whereas in other match ups its best to aim to KO the threatening foes like Sneasler and Gholdengo before bringing it in.
- Gholdengo is the most notable counter to Baxcalibur, resisting its STABs and dealing massive damage back, as does Kingambit. Using Baxcalibur's partners (like..?) that can threaten these to OHKO them or force them into a Tera that allows Baxcalibur to OHKO them. hit them for big damage Sneasler can outspeed and OHKO Baxcalibur with Close Combat, so its vital to either use Tera Ghost to avoid Close Combat and KO back with Icicle Spear, or use other partners (like?) to threaten it. Additionally, redirection from partners like Volcarona and Amoonguss can protect Baxcalibur from such foes. (it's probably worth highlighting this earlier in the analysis, feels out of place here— additionally would suggest some elaboration on these redirectors in the teambuilding section)

- Baxcalibur is a powerful attacker within the metagame, leveraging its immense attack and powerful STAB moves to deal massive damage to foes, notably hitting common threats in Rillaboom, Dragonite and Ursaluna for super effective damage.
- Scale Shot is integral to Baxcalibur's strength within the meta, as when paired with Loaded Dice it deals consistent and extremely powerful STAB damage, being able to OHKO Sneasler through Focus Sash, whilst (Go ahead and change all these to "while") boosting its speed and allowing it to outspeed many common foes, namely including Whimsicott and unboosted (We'll assume it's not boosted unless stated otherwise) Sneasler.
- Icicle Spear also abuses Loaded Dice to provide a powerful multi-hit STAB option, which can hit the many common Grass-, Ground- and Dragon-Types that populate the metagame, such as Garchomp, Dragonite, Amoonguss and Rillaboom. (Combine this with the above bullet. This isn't too big of a deal, but if you have a way to acknowledge how Scale Shot also pressures Dragon-types, that would be cool)
- Ice Shard allows for a powerful priority option that can finish off low HP foes, as well as KOing such as Sneasler and Pelipper after being brought down to Focus Sash. High Horsepower can be used to hit the Steel-Types that resist Baxcalibur's STAB combo such as Gholdengo and Kingambit, whilst also hitting Incineroar for super effective.
- Loaded Dice allows for Baxcalibur to KO foes through Focus Sash and Sturdy, such as Sneasler, Indeedee-M and Tatsugiri. (Main idea here is that Loaded Dice allows its multi-hit Scale Shot and Icicle Spear to deal consistently high damage, which yes, can allow it to KO through Focus Sash)
- Tera Ghost allows for grants Baxcalibur to have an immunity to the Fighting-Type attacks it was otherwise weak to, most notably Close Combat from Sneasler, whilst also providing an immunity to Fake Out from Incineroar and Rillaboom, as well as Facade from Ursaluna.
- Maximum Attack investment is crucial for guaranteeing the OHKO on Sneasler (with? obviously I know Scale Shot or Icicle Spear, but you do have to say it), whilst the defensive investment allows for Baxcalibur to survive Make It Rain from Leftovers (It hardly runs Leftovers specifically) Gholdengo the majority (usually you want to assume 252 spreads for calcs, so 252 SpA has 31.25% chance to OHKO. Try to find something better, if you can) of the time, a +1 (given a standard Archaludon spread, it even survives +2 Body Press) Archaludon Body Press, or a 150 BP Last Respects from Life Orb Basculegion. (A vast majority are Adamant, and that is 43.75% chance to OHKO)

The nature of Baxcalibur's play means it works best on predominantly physical offensive teams, which use Baxcalibur and other physical threats to overwhelm the foe such with damage before they have sufficient chance to recover. (unsure if first sentence is still unclear) Yeah, I think the wording of this paragraph does come off a little awkward. Try simplifying it to appreciating Fake Out support, redirection, and Defiant Pokemon to fit on a physical wallbreaking team style. You're welcome to keep this kind of short and vague because you elaborate below.
- Rillaboom pairs amazingly with Baxcalibur, as Rillaboom is able to hit threaten the Water-types that can resist Baxcalibur's Ice-type moves, most notably Primarina, as well as enabling Baxcalibur's offense with Fake Out and Grassy Terrain healing to keep it healthy. In return, Baxcalibur hits pressures the Grass-, Flying-, and Dragon-Types that resist Rillaboom's Grass STABs like Sinistcha and Dragapult Dragonite (slightly better example). (I would honestly start a new bullet here) Sneasler also pairs amazingly with Baxcalibur, most notably through its ability to use Coaching to boost Baxcalibur's offensive and defensive capabilities, allowing it potential to sweep entire teams. Furthermore, Sneasler can hit the Steel- and Fairy-Types that can resist Baxcalibur's STAB moves, like Kingambit and Ninetales-A, whilst Baxcalibur can threaten the Flying-Types that check Sneasler, like Dragonite.
- Additionally, redirection from partners like Volcarona and Amoonguss Electabuzz (It is almost never paired with Amoonguss) can protect Baxcalibur from foes that threaten it, allowing for it to safely output damage, whilst in return Baxcalibur hits the Grass-Types immune to Rage Powder and the Flying-Types that threaten both. You might have to adjust this paragraph's content according to the Electabuzz change

- Baxcalibur functions primarily as a bulky physical attacker sweeper, using powerful STABs to break through opposing teams, while taking many hits in return. It shines in the early game, weakening teams such that it's partners can clean up easily, especialy against Balance teams and Rain once the opposing Archaludon has been sufficiently weakened, which can be achieved through using its partners to weaken foes throughout the early and midgame. Haven't really used Baxcalibur enough to confirm or deny this, but don't just throw balance out there, name specific Pokemon of the core. It leverages its immense damage output to outshine other similar attackers like Dragonite against bulkier teams, while its Burn immunity from Thermal Exchange is crucial into Will-O-Wisp Magmar and Volcarona which can be very problematic for other physical attackers.
- As before mentioned aforementioned, Baxcalibur functions best in the early game, using its massive damage to weaken the opposing team such that it can support enable its teammates to clean, and can sweep on its own with Coaching support from a partner Sneasler or Annihilape (Refer to comment in other section), particularly where the opponent struggles to easily KO Baxcalibur, it It is best used in the early game when the opponent struggles to KO Baxcalibur, whereas in other match ups its best to aim to KO the threatening foes like Sneasler and Gholdengo before bringing it in to clean in the late game.

Using Baxcalibur's partners like Kingambit and Sneasler that can threaten these to OHKO them or force them into a Tera that allows Baxcalibur to OHKO them. Sneasler can outspeed and OHKO Baxcalibur with Close Combat, so it's vital to either use Tera Ghost to avoid Close Combat and KO back with Icicle Spear, or use other partners like Gholdengo. to threaten it. Stamina Archaludon also easily takes Baxcalibur's multi-hit attacks while accumulating Defense boosts with Stamina to retaliate with Body Press. Annihilape might also be worth a mention, threatening both in and out of Tera and stacking Rage Fist boosts in the same way.

- Scale Shot is integral to Baxcalibur's strength, as when paired with Loaded Dice it deals consistent STAB damage, being able to OHKO Sneasler through Focus Sash, while boosting its speed and allowing it to outspeed many common foes, including Whimsicott and Sneasler. Icicle Spear also abuses Loaded Dice to provide a powerful multi-hit STAB option, which can hit the many common Grass-, Ground- and Flying-types that populate the metagame, such as Garchomp, Dragonite, Amoonguss and Rillaboom.
- Ice Shard is a powerful priority option that can finish off low HP foes, such as Sneasler and Pelipper after being brought down to Focus Sash. Teambuilding
============
- Baxcalibur works best on predominantly physically offensive teams, which take advantage of Fake Out utility, Defiant Pokemon, and methods of setting up to overwhelm the foe. (this works fine?) (That does in fact work)
- Rillaboom synergizes with Baxcalibur, as Rillaboom is able to threaten the Water-types that can resist Baxcalibur's Ice-type moves, most notably Primarina, as well as enabling Baxcalibur's offense (I don't know why, but the vagueness really bothers me, but for some reason I didn't have any suggestions. Maybe "bolstering Baxcalibur's field presence") with Fake Out and Grassy Terrain healing to keep it healthy. In return, Baxcalibur pressures the Grass-, Flying-, and Dragon-Types that resist Rillaboom's Grass STABs like Sinistcha and Dragonite.
- Sneasler also pairs amazingly with Baxcalibur, most notably through its ability to use Coaching to boost Baxcalibur's offensive and defensive capabilities, allowing it potential to sweep entire teams. Furthermore, Sneasler can hit the Steel- and Fairy-Types that can resist Baxcalibur's STAB moves, like Kingambit and Ninetales-A, while Baxcalibur can threaten the Flying-Types that check Sneasler, like Dragonite.
- Redirection from partners like Volcarona and Electabuzz can protect Baxcalibur from foes that threaten it, allowing for it to safely output damage, while in return Baxcalibur hits the Grass-types immune to Rage Powder and the Flying- and Ground-Types that threaten Volcarona and Electabuzz, respectively.
- Baxcalibur really struggles against Steel-types, such as Kingambit and Gholdengo, that resist its STAB combination while threatening it back for super effective damage (Reader should know, and it's also not true for many Kingambit). The aforementioned Sneasler helps against Kingambit, while an ally Kingambit itself can handle opposing Gholdengo. Intimidate from Incineroar and Arcanine-H is also problematic as it greatly weakens Baxcalibur's damage output, but partners like Kingambit can punish opposing Intimidate, while special threats like Primarina can threaten both mons without being weakened by Intimidate.
