Top 3 everyone top 3!!!!!

With the last round, we have our first Grand Finalist, MrSoup, big congratulations to him for getting to the finals (although he is no stranger as a GSC NU Finalist). This week we will be hosting what may be our last rematch in the Invitational, as these two players did face off many weeks ago. We'll see what happens but I am very excited for the battle to secure that 2nd Grand Finals spot!

Round 6
Shengineer vs. DAWNBUSTER

Good luck to you both, make sure to get the replays in by Sunday midnight on October 5th GMT - 5. If any extensions are needed please feel free to let me know. Thank you, and congratulations for getting this far.

2 Announcements:

Firstly, I would like to announce that I have doubled the prize pool. This came after a lot of thought, and I definitely pushed it off but I got it in near the end at the very least. I would like to formally thank goldmason and the Revival team for helping out with behind the scenes work on this tournament as well.

Secondly, there is another video I made just now, it was a bit rushed but I wanted to get back into the groove of things. Here you are:

Hope these announcements find you all well!

Everybody...its Finals time.

I would like to thank Dawnbuster for participating in the invitational, and his prize money will be sent to him shortly. I would also like to congratulate our two final players in what in my eyes has been a wonderful invitational. It is a bittersweet ending for me in particular, but at the end of the day I am looking forward for this finals matchup.

Note: because this is a double elimination tournament, there will need to be 2 sets to occur between the winners bracket winner, and the losers bracket winner.

Without further ado, I would like to introduce our two finalists!

MrSoup: Our Winner's Bracket leader is definitely no stranger when it comes to finals appearances, not just for GSC NU, but across Smogon as a whole. He was a finalist in Siatam's GSC OU Invitational, has won the last 2 years of the GSC Open until this year, where he placed second. He won the most recent GSC NU Cup and was also a finalist in the NU Classic (no team preview). Soup has had many accomplishments that even include SV Rands, is an SPL caliber player having started for the Bigs last year, and has been definitively head and shoulders above his competition in this tournament thus far.

Shengineer: An NU powerhouse, with having a high level of experience from SV to GSC, Shengineer is also no stranger to the main stage. He has had a multitude of great performances, across many generations as well, ranging from LTWC, NUCL, NUPL, and even is starting for the Terrors this year in SCL. Shen is known for a high level of play as well as being a magnet for innovation within metagames, and it is no secret that he likes to push the bounds even in the highest stages. After getting knocked down to the Loser's bracket relatively early, he managed to work his way to a top 2 finish right after beating the very player who sent him there.

Everyone, I am excited for this last round of gameplay we are about to see, and I am ready to commence the final week of this Invitational.

Finals (Set 1)
MrSoup vs. Shengineer

Due date for these replays are October 12th, however due to being finals this can be extended if need be. Reminder that Shengineer has to beat MrSoup twice, and MrSoup only has to beat Shengineer once. Congratulations on making it here, post the replays below when you two are finished with your set(s), and have fun.
