Tournament Format and Information
The purpose of this tournament is to create an welcoming environment for participants who did not get a chance to play in UMPL to have a competitive tour to play in featuring unofficial metagames. If it wasn't already obvious, the general tournament rules and guidelines all apply here.
This tournament will feature 6 unofficial metagames: 1v1, 2v2 Doubles AG, NFE, Ubers UU, and ZU. It will be a premier league format where 6 different teams will face each other in 6 intense battles each week. The tier lineup is as follows:
- SV 1v1 Best of 5 (1 slots)
- SV 2v2 Best of 5 (1 slots)
- SV AG (1 slots)
- SV NFE (1 slots)
- SV Ubers UU (1 slots)
- SV ZU (1 slots)
When a team wins the week (at least 4 out of 6), they receive 2 points. 1 point if tie (3-3) and 0 if they lose. These points will determine which teams will reach the playoffs. If there is a tie, we will look at battle difference (only for the qualification in playoff). In case of further ties (or if the battle difference is still identical), a best of three will be organized between the two teams and they will receive an extension. One metagame will be picked by each manager, and each manager will also pick one metagame to strike. Additionally, each manager will submit a backup meta to strike in case their choice is the same as the opposing team's pick. The third format will be determined at random by the host from the remaining unpicked, unstruck metagames. In the event that the picks and strikes from each manager are the same, the hosts will determine both the second and third format at random based on the remaining options. All three metagames must be unique, so no format can be picked twice. Furthermore, every replay needs to be saved. Otherwise, battles won't count unless the opponent agrees on the result.
The player signups will be open for approximately 1 week following the recent announcement of the managers If the managers' schedule allows it, the auction will take place on the weekend following player signup closure. Manager self buys will not be permitted in this tournament, meaning managers will not be allowed to play. The budget of auctions is fixed at 80,000 for a minimum of 8 players. The auction will take place in a room and will be linked in the four different rooms.
