What type of bug are you reporting? Teambuilder

What is the bug?
Using the type filter for normal types causes the ui to dissappear, including the active filters

This happens when normal is the only filter active, if you enable any other filter in addition it acts correctly

If you enable a filter and then search normal afterwards instead of using the type filter selection, it will not show up as a filter

this happens on both pc and mobile, both in chrome and through bookmarks that bring you strait to the site


EDIT: the same thing appears to happen with the spatk filter, searching pokemon that start with po, and the ability analytic, this last one might be because its unique to a line starting with po

EDIT 2: it seems this bug is extensive, so i will start adding to a list with all known filters

Note that I have not personally replicated every one, it seems different users have different results, but it works 100% of the time for each version of the bug you have

it appears some versions of this bug only work if you have multiple filters selected, so far i have only been able to recreate these ones using a stat filter as one of the filters

This happens every time, including when opening the site again through chrome, i have not checked if it happens if you restart the bookmark or the entire console I am using

What is the bug?
Searching for certain Pokemon starting with "Po" in the teambuilder leads to a blank result with no autofill. For example, searching for Porygon and its evolutions. However, typing the name in full and pressing enter still loads the pokemon. Pokemon such as Poipole then appear after adding the i, or Popplio with the p. The porygon line remains with no results in its entirety.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes, anything with "Po" in the pokemon slot and further is blank unless specific letters are added

I press dark pulse so it shows the mons with dark pulse and then I press spatk so I can sort with special attack so ethier every mon with dark pulse has negative special attack or it doesn't work

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
I opened up the team builder then type in dark pulse click on it then press sp.atk and nothing shows up if you press speed defensive other moves or any altererations its fine but not dark pulse and specail attack

When i try to sort pokemon by spatk the builder goes blank. It works just fine sorting by other stats. Too lazy to add a pic lol

Just go to team builder select add pokemon and click spatk on the screen it should be blank after that

If you search for mon that learn Trick Room, then attempt to sort it, the teambuilder stops showing any mon, as well as the search/sort bar. Happens on every format Ive tried it on, including OU, VGC 2025 Reg H, VGC 2022, and Gen 4 UU.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Really basic to recreate, just search up Trick Room, then any sorting option. Instantly breaks. Cannot currently replicate it with other moves, just Trick Room.

In [Gen 5] Draft, searching for Normal types, Steel types, or Bug types in the teambuilder results in a completely blank page (wholly blank, not even a header row).

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Self-explanatory, just search for those types in gen 5 draft, corroborated by at least one other user on a different computer on different internet

when u type trick and enter it as a move and try to organize the pokemon that learn the move judging by their HP stats the whole section of showing the pokemon below vanishes

In the Gen 9 teambuilder, the normal type filter shows no Pokémon, and wont show up if you type past the "no".

yes, by using the normal type filter in any gen 9 format. Other generations I've checked don't seem to have this issue.

if you search by the letter you can find in them but you are unable to switch their abilities.

When attempting to filter by specific types in specific tiers, in this case Bug, Normal, or Steel in SM 1v1 the teambuilder fails to show any mons. It shows an empty screen, this isn't the case for all types as in testing the rest filtered properly. Additionally, adding some other filters successful displays the filtered mons, aka if you add tackle the screen is no longer blank. If you add protect it is still blank. Finally, this behavior is consistent for US East mobile + US East PC + Canada PC + Italy mobile, but this bug was not replicated by Italy PC so it might be location based as well.

See above. Just make a new team in the sm 1v1 tier, and try to sort by one of 3 types (Bug, Normal, or Steel) and a blank screen shows up. Refreshing did not result in any change neither did clearing cookies in my experience.

When attempting to build for the OM Balanced Hackmons (unsure why this specifically affects me for BH) the teambuilder will not show any results when I search for steel type pokemon using the type filter in builder. Upon checking for other types, this issue remains the case for the bug type as well (fittingly). This happens whether I try typing the filter into builder or using the drop down menu for typing. To my knowledge I have only had this issue for Balanced Hackmons

I am able to replicate the bug via searching steel into the builder when trying to find steel type pokemon in balanced hackmons. This also can be done by selecting the drop down. The filters for 16/18 types are functional (at least for me) but both bug and steel are acting up.

There seems to be 2 bugs for me, so when I search a pokemon starting with the first 2 letters as po it comes up blank and when I try and order pokemon by SpA the search goes blank again. Idk if it matters if I’m on mobile or pc but I am on mobile.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
It happens consistently by typing po or sorting anything by SpA

Apparently, when putting a tag like a type (only checked steel and bug) or an ability (only checked adaptability) when building my team the Pokemon from those categories wouldn't appear

I tried making a National Dex AG Team with a steel type and the Pokemons wouldn't appear

Whenever I use the search bar looking for something related to a porygon starting in gen 4 in all the formats I tested in the following search filters:

The abilities: adaptability when I get to the second a, download when I get to the w, analytic when I get to the second a, and trace when I get to the c
The NUBL search filter for gens 8 and 9 when I click it
The UUBL search filter for gens 4 and 7 when I click it (Surprisingly not any tiers with p-z in them, just banlists)
Normal when I get to the r

Whenever I type a search filter listed above starting in gen 4 and beyond.

I know porygon isn't related to all the UI bugs I experienced, but there was a lot of overlap with porygon.

The UI also goes blank when I use the SpA filter and steel and bug types in BH.

EDIT: The tiers I tested for adaptabilty bug were: every OU tier starting in gen 3, Cross evolution, every officiat singles tier, doubles OU, VGC Regulation F, Shared Power, Balanced hackmons, Convergence, and gen 7 PH. The only formats that bugged the UI were the formats where p-z was legal, I also tried trace in LC and the UI didn't bug.

My browser in chrome if that helps at all.

When searching in the teambuilder for Normal-types the team builder will just refuse to display anything. This was tested in the Gen 9 OU team builder as well as the monotype team builders for gens 8 & 7. Interestingly if you search another parameter first and then add Normal after that seems to work fine, but if you take away all the parameters so that the Normal-type option is the only search filter it once again un-displays everything in the search results.

By trying to filter my search to only include Normal-type Pokémon.
