An RU subforum thread died?? That's crazy ayo that definitely hasn't happened before.... anyway pre-w9 pr since a lot of teams are either locked or out at this point

Leading the pack this SCL are Santu and Franklin on the Breakers and Foxes, respectively. These two were ranked at the top of the PRs heading into the tour so their placement here makes sense. Santu rolled a lot of people with different HO and fat brings and Franklin also used a few HO / Blissey fats to success - this is a trend of the top teams and metagame as a whole, for better or worse, so I
don't wanna hear bitching about fishing or cheesing from the media mains, get over it noobs.

Surprise surprise as we see hjkhj's Shoguns in third, as to be expected (for the most part anyway) as he used his patented HO/Stall/HO/Stall extremes well this tour (as mentioned above, pretty trendy...). Behind him are two rather interesting developments though in the Dynamos and Machines - DPP main Kristyl with FlamPoke support and Dj with... I couldn't even tell you to be honest?, managed to string together some wins and hang with the top dogs this tour. To the mainers who placed us both at the bottom of the PRs - shove it!! In all fairness both teams were pretty sloppy early, starting 0-2 before adjusting to the trends and stringing together some wins, so I get it... but yeah I do think placing us above the Gibles at this point is fair given the records and games.

The Gibles had some tough games this tour - you know Feliburn is malding about every single loss (and claiming he'd have gone x-0 in this pool given the same circumstances, boomer). For the most part though the Feli ghosting slot has looked good and brought solid teams, sometimes a bit too boring and checkbox-y but that's Feli for ya (bro PLEASE stop making cyc look bad with the boots nonsense that shit sucks). The Terrors right behind at 4-4 makes sense, they had some tough draws (like getting robbed week one vs Franklin or loading Regidrago into Protect spam fat) but the Hacker + Metallica core worked out okay here and could just as easily be 5-3 or 6-2 I think if you watch the games.

Nearing the bottom are the Islanders, who banked on the Slam Finalist Colin + RUTL feen builder core to work (it didn't) and the Platoon, who followed a similar clicker + builder idea (robjr did well last SCL but Flab was unable to produce as good of teams this time around methinks). These two teams had some really bad brings and play this tour, underwhelming stuff overall from two teams a lot of people rated highly in the PRs. If I were shake I'd talk about respecting the sheet and not relying on people with historically bad track records in officials but I digress.

The eifo-led RU core of the Spartans notched their first win last week by starting Ubers main(?) bacon - eifo had one of the worst games this tour without a doubt when he timed out turn 9 in week one, and rolled some tough resttalk rolls vs Santu in an otherwise winnable game. Overall this team did very bad here, not really bringing the best teams and definitely not playing winning mons most of the time. I think 3-5 was attainable but the play just wasn't there when they needed it.
As a personal aside, building has been fun here. We (the Dynamos) got a lot of shit all tour from the mainers about cheesing which is annoying (even other cheesers like Franklin came after us!!) but if you look at the top of the pool it's pretty obvious that loading the extreme fat / ho stuff works well in this tier, especially when you can make stuff like Cetitan Snow or Tera Flying Kingdra Rain work the way we did. Our record with HO thus far is 3-1 and when we shift to balance/bo stuff we go neutral at 2-2 - this is easy to explain as we lost those two off rip as Kristyl was learning the tier (in hindsight she should've won that game vs Franklin ~60% of the time we had at worst a neutral matchup and some nice luck early-game just needed a SPIKE)
Thank you to Feli Tsuki seed flab and all the other burros and helpers along the way for tests and yap, shoutout burro cord - until next time (rucl doesn't exist don't try to tell me otherwise)
