★ Regarding AI-generated art on the Forums

AI-generated pieces are not allowed on Smogon forums, including but not limited to team tournament logos, Smogon project banners or custom avatars.
AI-generated art takes opportunities away from artists; the way AI-generated art works on LLMs is by taking pieces from already-made creations and making a new art piece from them. Using AI to any extent to help create pieces will thus be met with a serious infraction, as it is a form of plagiarism.

If you have any questions or concerns about whether something is AI, please reach out to an Art leader or SS.

Since we have gotten a few questions about some of the phrasing: this does NOT extend to usage of AI generated elements in user profile pictures/banners or memes posted on our forum. These are not things that require artist credits (key word require, there's still plenty of artists out there that would very much prefer to be credited on any use of their works) and it's not something we plan on moderating.
