Rejected Add a special "Tournament Player Locked" That allows challenges to be issued to other players

As the title reads, I wish this to be fulfilled so that locked players can sign up (maybe somewhere on the forum) to have this special version of locked applied to their account instead of usual lock. I understand why locked players cannot usually challenge other players, as of course spamming constant challenges to other users can be used for harassment, which is the reason a lot of locked players are... Well, locked. But that is not every locked player, and the amount of headaches one has to go through sometimes, especially if you have a hard to type name (personally for me, my primary account name has a typo from the usual spelling of a word in it, so that mixes people up a lot), and against newer players in tournaments who do not fully understand how Showdown works. It is extremely frustrating to have to guide players on how to issue challenges a lot of the time because they themselves do not know how to. There is also from time to time the circumstance where your opponent does not check back onto the forums after they have first posted "I am on Smogtours as (X)", which results in ~15 minutes or more of both players sitting around waiting on each other until Player A eventually goes back to Smogon - presumably to issue an act claim - only to see that they have made an error, where the set then has to be played late, which is frustrating and nobodies fault in particular. However, my proposal eliminates these major problems and headaches, and also helps eliminate the potential for abuse that giving all locked players the ability to challenge would result in, As this special "Tournament locked" status would naturally be given to players who sign up for it on a case by case basis. Where bad actors will be denied it and those who abuse it after getting it can have the role removed and then be punished.

I am not advocating that this proposed "Tournament Locked" role be able to do anything else aside from be able to challenge other players. Thank you for reading my proposal, I hope it is considered.

I assume this would be for permalocked users only as otherwise if its just a temporary lock you could just play on smogtours.

Regardless, I'm not a fan. Users who end up on permalock have had most of their privileges (eg: chatting, challenging, etc) stripped because they could not be trusted to use one or more of them appropriately (after being told and punished for rules violations several times, at best). This is a bunch of extra work for the moderation AND administration team to manage (deciding who gets it, trying to keep abuse to a minimum, it will get abused because people lie like crazy, administration constantly having to get involved as only they can adjust permanent punishments).

Seconding what hoeen said. Permalock is a punishment, your privileges were revoked for a reason. You have to earn them back. I'm certain it's annoying to have to walk people through challenging you, but that's the price of these things.
