Back from dead, not like I was super active before, but I guess I was enough for a couple people to know me, but yeah hi.
This is one of the first teams I made when I started playing again, in my usual style, it's a fat dish.

Introduction yap

So basically, little untrue_reality wanted to give mons a second chance after a bit of a shaky leaving with "personal events" happening not just as I wrote my first and only C&C analysis but also with "misunderstandings" with now long time smogon friends who I've ended up forgiving.
With that out of the way, where did our story really begin with this team?
...Her...
60689.jpg

I didn't know it at the time, but :ogerpon-wellspring: was much worse at the current state of the Natdex Meta than it was back when I played actively, when it was the best wallbreaker in the tier by a long shot.
So basically, little traumatized myself wanted to start the team off by making sure i could defeat any and every :ogerpon-wellspring: in the tier, and there the solution was... staring at me with it's creepingly glaring eyes... the only part of it's face that you can see...
The :Wellspring-mask: killing machine...
:sv/Tangrowth:
And from there on, we balled.

Teambuilding Process

:Tangrowth:
Already explained bla bla bla hate shrek

:Tangrowth: :alomomola:
Double regen + slow pivot + wish support + toxic for extra :ogerpon-wellspring: hate? Sign me up! :psysly:

:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres:
Added in molt mainly so I can deal with :volcarona:, :Charizard-mega-y:, and additionally takes the removal role out of the list of to dos.

:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres: :gliscor: :scizor-mega:
Scizor got a spot here since it can check :tapu-lele: and :kyurem: to a pretty good extent, while also being a good late game cleaner and revenge killer/secondary speed control
As for gliscor, it's a cool ground check that can notoriously check :diancie-mega: while setting me my hazards

:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres: :gliscor: :scizor-mega: :zamazenta:

Last slot went to :choice band: 4a zama after looking for wallbreaker/speed control for a good bit
...and there it was... done... until you look again and realize this is ass.

:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres: :ting-lu: :scizor-mega: :zamazenta:
click the mons for the paste of this version
Ok so v2, replaced Gliscor with lu so I'm safer against :raging bolt:, :gholdengo: and stored power users that cheesed their way to victory against me (cough... my goat :victini: and :polteageist:). Additionally this guy also took actual advantage of the wishes to a consistent extent alongside bootsless zamazenta.

:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres: :ting-lu: :scizor-mega: :kartana:
click the mons for the paste of this version
Added kart in the place of :zamazenta: so i could touch :toxapex: while also being a wallbreaker and speed control, while on paper this is partially true, on practice this mf kart was ass, back to the drawing board it was for me.

And then I remembered he's OU...
:Tangrowth: :alomomola: :moltres: :ting-lu: :gholdengo: :zamazenta:
click the mons for the paste of this version
ok so basically the plan was keep Zamazenta's speed control and breaking abilities, which worked decent up until this point, and replace the bug with something that also checks also lele while simultaneously not thudding into :toxapex:... yeah this mf ghold really the better fit, is what thought, turns out I was right.
I also made the Tangrowth use an :assault vest: at this point so i could check :tapu Koko: :mega diancie: while still giving :wellspring mask: a hard time (foreshadowing)

:venusaur-mega: :alomomola: :moltres: :ting-lu: :gholdengo: :zamazenta:
paste for this only in paste part bc I'm an asshole and there's a version with alternative sets
Turns out this isn't gen 7 OU and :Tangrowth: with :assault vest: is some hot ass (learned the hard way with Ayushfcb and his :wellspring mask:), so I decided to turn on my brain and realize that Mvenu tanks just abt the same mons previously mentioned while still being able to give pon an actual hard time and threat. Weird stunt with the knock off but other that no complaints.
And just like that, team was... kinda made.

Sets

** - Alternative Sets.

:sv/venusaur-mega:
DaWaysOfALoner (Venusaur-Mega) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Earth Power
- Knock Off
- Synthesis
The starman, go to water resist and the glue of the main defensive core of this team alongside Alomomola, at first I was feeling a bit fishy abt this guy using knock (not like I had much choice, since it was literally the only thing I had in the team that learns it besides mola, and non AV mola with knock is a bit weird) but the more I used it the better it felt, especially since it's fairly unexpected, anyways this guy is also great to naturally cover the few mons who can break the rest of the core easily like :diancie-mega: and :tapu koko: + :iron valiant:.
96 speed EVs make it outspeed bulky :Gholdengo:.

:sv/alomomola:
gugu gaga bitch (Alomomola) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 99
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 8 HP / 252 Def / 248 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Flip Turn
- Toxic
- Wish
- Protect
Not much to say, main pivot, status spreader and a pretty solid water resist in it's own right.
Toxic feels increasingly more useful by the day since most molas are AV nowadays so people dont expect it as much, and the wishpass is almost crucial for certain mons who got themselves low like ting lu with it's repeated need to come in multiple times and Gholdengo and Zamazenta's also needing to take hits for the team.

:sv/ting-lu:
dracula (Ting-Lu) @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
To put it short it's the :gholdengo: and :raging bolt: killer.
However with wish support the range of things this dude can do is amplified by a thousand, since you're not as afraid to get chipped like before, the get out of jail for free card vs setup sweepers that is whirlwind now can be used multiple times now and you can stand in the face of would be threats who'd chip for very high damage to do stuff like set rocks or force progress with ruination, the latter especially useful against balance and BO to open paths for zama

:sv/gholdengo:
spookycooke (Gholdengo) @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 236 HP / 112 Def / 68 SpD / 92 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast/Make It Rain**
- Recover
Main progress forcer of the team, with the borderline insta kill button that is +2 Ghostium Z, this guy absolutely feasts on more passive and defensive teams, being able to threaten them while also not being super afraid of chip damage with the wish support + it's own reliable healing.
Ghold is also expected to take hits for the team, mainly from :tapu lele: and :Hatterene: but also vs :tornadus-therian: and :zapdos: depending on how the game is going and their respective sets.
92 speed EVs let it outspeed :gliscor:.

:sv/zamazenta:
On my MAMA (Zamazenta) @ Choice Band
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Crunch/Psychic Fangs**
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
An amazing compressor for the offensive core: speed control with it's amazing speed stat, ok revenge killer and decent kgb check with the one time defense boost + aftermentioned speed + amazing coverage and a wallbreaker with the choice band.

:sv/moltres:
bird up (Moltres) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 236 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
- Defog
- Roost
The last piece of the defensive core, able to blanket a lot of crucial stuff in the hazard war like :gholdengo:, :great tusk:, (most) :iron treads:, :ting lu:, :ferrothorn:, etc...
Additionally it's also an amazing check to :volcarona:, :Charizard-mega-y: and :scizor-mega:, who'd otherwise be pretty unwinnable threats.
16 speed EVs let it outspeed uninvested :Landorus-therian: and Bulky :gholdengo:

Sins of a loner. (Threats and Weaknesses)

Greed.
:sv/Gliscor:
The hardest matchup to this team, although managable with the :ghostium z: :gholdengo: EVd specifically to outspeed it, it still requires scouting and positioning from your part to win against the bat.

Envy
:sv/tornadus-therian:
Not to far from the #1, but he's way more manageable, NP Tornadus-therian is a huge threat, your game plan is pretty much to get :Zamazenta: in safely as fast as possible and kill it or kill it with :gholdengo: instead, but that's more unreliable and feels like a trade more often than not

Gluttony.
:sv/toxapex:
Sits on everything way too well except :gholdengo:, therefore the plan is kinda the same, hit this with the Z move or hit something else in a way that the team crumbles the moment that happens. (you also have psyfangs zama on the alt sets, guaranteed 2hko, although prediction reliant)

Pride.
:sv/charizard-mega-y:
Well, :Moltres: technically deals with him, but it's still hard to play around since any chip and it's dead. I feel like there's a better EV spread I could use, but i dont know what exactly how it might look, maybe it's just max Spdef idk cause I still wanna take hits on both sides.

Lust.
:sv/volcarona:
Only SubSwarm is a threat because it stops :Moltres: from unleashing the key toxic to kill it passively, main plan is to keep up as much pressure as possible and make sure rocks are up.

Sloth.

:sv/ursaluna:
A common trend with the more defensive teams I do, this time the weakness to this mon is not nearly as bad because my team isn't as passive as my past's, anyways as long as you make sure this doesn't get a free swords dance you're good generally.

Wrath.
:sv/kyurem:
Much easier than all the aftermentioned, but still shout-out worthy? I guess? DD, 3a and specs definitely the worst matchups but still managable if you keep rocks and small amount of consistent pressure up.

Replays

The peak replay is fucking lost so
Anyways I'll probably update this as time goes since I'm still playing the team relatively actively

Proof of peak

48392.jpg

mind you, this peak is from months ago, and I've tilted since, so no the newest peak DIDN'T start from here, rather from 14-1500's.
