Welcome to the 2025 NU Awards!

What a year it has been! NUPL, NUCL, Rising Stars, Memes, Beef, Discord Pins, Braviary rising to NU because of reasons, and so much more!
We again want to celebrate the end of the year with the NU Awards! Nominate your favorite players, memes, pets and more in the form linked below,
then we will vote on the best of the best of 2025!

Rules:
  • You do not have to respond to each category. We understand that not everyone will be familiar with/have an opinion on every category. Simply respond to the questions you would like to!​
  • There is no limit to the number of people you can nominate for each category. Keep in mind if the list is deemed excessive said nominations may be ignore at the host's discretion. Feel free to nominate whoever you would like to, but don't try to abuse the system, or we will simply ignore your submission.​
  • Feel free to self nominate if you feel like you are deserving of it, but keep in mind we may call you out on the results livestream! All in good fun, but if you nominate yourself for every category hosts will likely ignore your submission. Don't be cringe!​
  • If there are any nominations that are notably missing, hosts will add nominations at their discretion. We want to hear from you, but we also want to make sure there are more than one person to vote on for each category, and that there is fair representation on the ballots!​
  • Remember that we are here to have fun! Please don't take these awards too seriously, they are all in good fun!​
  • Results will be revealed via livestream on the NUTube Channel (assuming no technical or scheduling issues!) The Awards Show Reveal Stream will be December 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM!​
  • Feel free to discuss, campaign, post memes, make suggestions, or otherwise have fun in the thread below!​
  • If there is a really good suggestion we may add it to the final ballot and forgo the nomination process (for the sake of keeping things on schedule.) Let us know if there is anything important that we forgot! If so I blame Bernardo hehe​

2025 NU Awards Results!
Watching the live is the best way to catch the results! Plenty of extra lore and good vibes! Big shoutouts to my project cohost Be13costa for making this possible, being my person to bounce things off of, and for doing the research for the stream! Also thank you to Shengineer , Pokeslice , and 5MGMatthew5 for being on the stream with us, and thank you to the 54 people who voted! We couldn't have done this without you guys. We had a great 2025 and are looking forward to an even better 2026!

Hello! Reminder that this channel is majorly for tournament discussion. I know we always tend to gravitate towards other topics which is totally fine, as this channel has turned into a ⁠general of sorts over the years; however, this is NOT the place for in depth discussions over religion, politics and what not. If you wish to do so, I much recommend moving over to smogcord. We'll be keeping a close eye on this channel from now on. Thank you

The Adventures of Tuthur and Sirwings!
Sirwings invited me to go out with him on a saturday night in Paris. We met other french people from smogon there and drank some vodka and other alcohol. I only drank a little because im not a good drinker and sirwings drank a bit too much. Not the kind of too much where its dangerous though, just the one where you lack some judgement. The group eventually split and 4 of us go to a cheap club to dance. The place is crowded and we eventually get split, Sirwings and I are in between a wall and a group of partying German girls. I see the girls talk with each other, and one of them whos way out of my league is dancing very close to me (though not looking at me). Sirwings is fluent in german and understands what they were saying, he was even chatting with one of them. So I ask him if they said anything about me and im reading signals right on the chick. He tells me, that i shouldnt try a move and we leave them. I get approched by a seemingly gay guy who offers me a drink and its a bit awkward, but I can politely show him im not interested. Anw we find back the other two guys and get out of the club to buy cheaper alcohol. I buy a vodka bottle and we start drinking in a park and just talk. Then there is this random hobo, Ahmelio who joins us and starts talking with us. Its a bit funny so we dont mind, but when its about 5 am, we start to leave and the guy start following us because he wants to drink. Our two friends go back to their place, but im with sirwings whos now way too drunk and a hobo who wants vodka. So i let him take a sip and he finally leaves us. On our way home, I ask Sirwings about what the german girls were saying, and he told me "oh yeah, she said she wanted to do you, but i thought it was a bad idea"
