When you click duplicate/copy, on a team, it becomes very annoying very quickly seeing 'Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Untitled ___'
Especially when your making multiple versions of a team/brainstorming
It would be more useful to have the copy system become Untitled ____ (1)/ something else instead of just 'Copy of'
 
Do you mean only when copying Untitled 123 style named teams? Otherwise I'd argue that Copy of Mandibuzz Stall is a more meaningful name than Untitled 760
 
I'd just like to bump this as someone who builds a ton of teams for tournaments and such. I was going to make a separate post but saw this had been suggested some months ago. I think a toggleable button that allows you to choose the format in which your 'copies' of teams are named would be the most elegant solution to this problem. It allows people to stick to their familiar 'copy of copy of copy of...' while also allowing for a new formatting such as 'v1, v2, etc.' or '(1), (2), etc.'.
 
Hi! I'm interested in working on this, was thinking of something like a one-time preference change in settings that lets users choose their preferred naming style - 'Name (2), Name (3), …', 'Name v2, Name v3, …', 'Copy of Name' (current behavior). Importantly, there would be no pop-up every time someone wants to make a copy, just a one-time global change. Could also change default behavior to something like 'Name (2), Name (3), …', but that might be unnecessary and could decide that further on if anyone has input.
